The First Quarter Quell

AN: I originally did this storybook with the people in my "District 13" user group. If they were in this storybook, they can chose to keep their old districts or adopt new ones. This storybook is an adaptation of an event alluded to in "The Hunger Games" by Suzanne Collins, and it does not belong to me.

25 years have passed since the end of the dark days and the start of the first hunger games. Although you weren't alive then, your parents were.
Whatever the case, you know that is the first quarter quell. Your parents and teachers have explained it to you. The President will announce it tonight. You pay close attention to your television set.
"As a reminder to the rebels that their children were dying because of their choice to initiate violence, each district will be made to hold an election to decide on their tributes."
You freeze, hopeless. The reaping will be soon. May the odds be ever in your favor.

The reaping begins, and you are inevitably voted to represent your district. You are thrust on a luxury train, which holds fine accommodations and the best food you've ever tasted. But you can't help thinking about what lies in store.

You meet your stylist. You make your way through training, and soon the interviews come. You look through the crowd, thinking of who will be your ally. But before we begin, why don't we know a little bit more about you? Once that information is received, the interviews can begin.

If you haven't read the Hunger Games and want to be in this storybook, completely fine! We are willing to accept anyone, and I can explain it for you if need be. However, it helps if you have read it.

Also, we will be using original characters for this storybook, considering this is 50 years before the hunger games took place.

-Districts & Death Order-

We will not know the death order until everyone has joined. With that said, I'm going to limit the spots to 12. That way nobody has to play a character that gets killed off two seconds into the game. Once 12 people have joined put all the names in a hat-and then I will post the death order here, so keep your eyes peeled.

Districts will be assigned as I don't want any fights to take place, or anyone to quit just because they don't like their district. So, join for now, leave the "District" field open. Once twelve people join, I will put names in a hat and pick that way.

Appearance: Medium Length, Layered Brown Hair with sidebangs. Almond shaped, amber eyes, freckles and full lips. Short (only about 5'1), with a petite figure. Pale, cream colored skin and sharp fingernails.

Personality: Callie is a girl of big talk and little action. She pretends to be brave, but often wimps out when situations arrive. She often complains and feels important by particpating in the Hunger Games. Callie is hoping to win the games so she can bring publicity to her District.

Name: Asuka Shizamaki
Nickname: AS'ka
Age: 17

Appearance: Short hair with a flower ornament at the side of her head. Almond shape eyes and thin lips.
Personality: As'ka is a bit of a snob. She loves to do things to her own advantage and to her own self. She likes to create groups and does not mind to be allies to some however, if situations get worse, As'ka has to make needed sacrifices for her own survival.

History: A daughter of an aristocrat. She is the second oldest daughter of her family. Though she keeps the family tradition tight, she envies her older sister's fortune as the heiress of the family. She volunteered to the first quarter quell-much to the appreciation of her family- to show them that she is more worthy of getting the fortune than her sister.

Name: Elenor Black

Age: Fifteen

Personality: She is pretty tough, and wont take no for an answer. But she can also be sweet an gental when she is in any right mind to be. She is very prim and proper, expecially around adults.

She talks kind of weird. For exampe, instead of saying, "I like flowers." She would say, "I do happen to like flowers." She has a very proper way of speaking.

Name: Dodge Svalsson
Nickname: Dodge
Age: 15
District: 9
Appearance: Tall and pale, with tons of freckles, and a mop of red hair. Brown eyes, and a hawkish nose. Although he was never supposed to train for the Hunger Games, he found a disused house with a spacious basement, and used sticks to practice sword play. He is now fairly good at it.
Personality: Back at home, he's a fun loving guy, who just wants to be with his friends. He was extremely conflicted when his own best friend's mother made the final vote to put him in as a tribute. He can run very well, and knows how to survive in hard circumstances. He generally refuses to give up, and thinks he has a chance of winning.

Name: Annabelle Patterson

Nickname: Bells

Age: 14

District: 'Left Blank' but I would love love love district 4

Appearance: Very small and not only because of her age. Small features, short blonde hair, small nose, small lips. Small in general. She's not a midget but she certainly isn't tall. She has cream colored skin.

Personality: Terrified to be in the Quater Quell. Really really terrified. She kind of thinks like Rue, if I hind they can't find me and if they can't find me they can't kill me. Her districts nature girl. Know litteraly everything on what plants to eat and what not to eat and such. She is okay with bows and rather good with throwing knives. Her plan is that if she stays high in the trees with her knives and stay out of killing reach she'll be the last one alive.

I'm taking back Anton.

Name: Anton Hinton

Nickname: Ant, Anton.

Age: Sixteen

District: Six (scientists)

Appearance: Around 5'8 in height, and average build. His hair is very messy, brown, and comes to the bottom of his ears. His eyes are a similar shade, but a lot of the time he wears glasses to aid him while working. Anton will usually look distant, when he's home at least. He generally wears casual clothes, but obviously his stylist will change that.

Personality: He is regarded as one of the top brains of his generation in District 3. He was chosen for the Games because he volunteered to go; he did that because he was curious about the Games and wanted to see it first hand. Anton is very kind and nice, but most of the time people don't see this because of his distractedness and dreaminess in general. Anton knows that he needs to come back to earth during the games and become more practical, but he's worried that that might be hard to do. But he will do his best to use his scientific brain to his advantage.

Name: Edge Venga

Age: Fourteen

Appearance: Long black hair and grey eyes. She has a athletic figure.

Personality: Edge seems shy, sweet, and innocent. She mainly keeps to her self but has a tough exterior. She can trick people into trusting her easily.

History: Edge family was on the poor side and she did what was necessary to keep them alive. She was a con woman in her district most of her district was happy when she was drawn.

(Sorry for the bad bio I'll add more when I can think of something.)

I've read the first two books and I loved them. I'll try this out.

Name: Roxanne Threases
Nickname: Roxy
Age: Fifteen

Appearance: She has brown shoulder length hair and brown eyes. She's thin and 170 cm tall. She usually wears casual clothes.

Personality: Roxy talks very much and that means she's rough, but she can be nice to people she want to team up with. She loves to run and she's very fast. She has no plans to win the Hunger Games, but she'll last as long as she can. She'll try.
History: She was a bit curious to these Games at first, but then she thought she had been chosen to do something special. She lived in district * with her younger Brother, Thomas, and her father, John.

I'm going to keep Andrew.

Name: Andrew Mays

Nickname: Andy

Age: 17

District: Eight

Appearance: Longish brown hair, and a warming smile. Andrew can blend into almost any crowd, almost everything about his appearance is strictly average.

Personality: Andrew is extremely kind. Almost to a fault. Andy can find something good in almost any circumstance, but he won't stand for any nonsense.

History:He knows almost nothing about the wilderness, having been lucky to even see a blade of grass in his district. He can weave almost anything and find many uses out of a piece of cloth. He also knows a little bit about the machinery in his distirct. His little sister died when he was 12 and she was 10, and he a little bit protective after that happened.

Form-Name: Wynter Annum

Nickname: Winnie

Age: Sixteen

District:

Appearance: Wynter is above the medium height range for her age. Her skin is creamy sort of colour which bring out her dark brown hair. It falls around her back in a neat yet messy sort of way. She cream that is sort of pale and tan at the same time skin, big autumn brown eyes with thick black eyelashes brimming around them. She also has a dancers build because she as forced into being a ballerina.

Personality: Happy and Bubbly she never backs down from a fight. Winnie Lives for adventure adn fight, when she was younger she would imagine herself a pirate or a dragon fighter, using hte children in her district as her followers or enemies. Her mother and father tried to make her into a ballerina like the rest of their daughters though they never succeeded in pulling Wynter from her love for adventure.

History: Winnie was the first to be elected from her district to go and fight in the hunger games.

Name: James Mactavish
Nickname: Roach
Age: seventeen

Appearance: He's average height, but broad shouldered. He has short brown hair that he wears in a slight mohawk, (only a couple of centimeters tall). He has blue eyes and his skin is fairly tanned from spending a lot of time outside.
Personality: He got his nickname because he refused to give up on something he wanted to learn or do. He is the son of a butcher, so he has a lot of experience with knives, and that sparked a desire to learn how to fight. He learned how to box at a young age, and despite not being very good at it in the beginning he stuck with it and is now pretty good. He is quiet, but determined, and he doesn't want to die in the hunger games, but he knows he doesn't have it in himself to kill.

Once one more person joins we can start this sucker!
