Geez you guys...I'm usually not bothered by spiders, but when they're abnormally large...ugh no thank you!

"Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?” -John 11:25-26
That's not bad at all. I mean, obviously I wouldn't like being stuck in a cage with it, but I can handle them more than giant spiders.

If you are bitten by a giant spider the worst you'll suffer is pain, but if that giant snake coils around you, you're pretty much dead. Even being bitten bitten by a dangerously venomous spider means that you can go to the hospital, who hopefully has anti-venom.

I still take the snake over the spider. Less creepy looking.

What does appearance have to do with anything? The poor spiders.
Well, sure I wouldn't be enthusiastic about having a tankful of tarantuals in my room, but they mean us no harm. Just because they aren't cuddly critters doesn't mean they deserve to be squished on sight.

We weren't talking about tarantulas. We were talking about those giant orb-weavers. And compared to a large boa, I find the orb weaver to be scarier.
Also, I don't squish spiders unless they look like they're venomous (like those brown recluses); I release them back outside.

Ranger Hawk, that's not a boa, it's a reticulated python. The largest snake on Earth, length wise. The anaconda beats it by sheer bulk, but not length.

Like you said, you squish the poisonous spiders, so...
*Disturbing splat sound*

*A crackling squish, accompanied by the flow of spider innards*

This has gone off topic, unfortunately I'm part of the reason.
Back on track:
As of yet, there is no conclusive answer as to what the mysterious Bloop is. Some speculate it is an unknown species of marine life, an exceptionally enormous one.
You know, back before the age of motorized boats and ships there were more sea monster sightings. Of these, among the most iconic are those of the Kraken. Today we know that there are in fact giant squids which are estimated to grow to sixty feet from the tips of their head to the ends of their tentacles.
But that is not what the sailors of old described. What they did was of a giant octopus. A giant octopus is plausible, as it is typically a bottom dweller. So logically, a slow moving giant species of octopus may in fact be living on the ocean floor, miles beneath the surface. After all, the vast majority of the Earth's ocean has never had eyes laid on it by man.
