The Great DC Snowstorm (with pics!)

We did actually have snow today, but it looked like dandruff falling from the sky. So it doesn't really compete with DC.

We're supposed to get snow on Wensday, might close school early and possibly for the next day

No, not all of Canada's snow. Western Canada has plenty of it and in my opinion Nate can keep it all Then again, I wouldn't mind sending it all east to Ontario!

Your storm ain't got squat on the great Ice Storm of 2008 that wracked the northeast! RAWR.

We didn't have power for a week and a half, and almost missed Christmas. >.<

That's a great picture! Ice storms make for awesome pics, although I know they aren't pleasant to live through.

Heh, at one point today apparently, there were Winter Storm Warnings and Watches stretching continuously all the way from New Jersey to Utah: an area approximately 2,300 miles long. Looks like DC isn't the only one suffering from winter, and yet they're having to import snow in Vancouver.

They're forecasting another 16 inches starting tomorrow afternoon into Wednesday. This is unreal.

Yeah, this snow be pretty crazy. I haven't had class in about two weeks due to either a) the college being shut down or b) me being trapped in my backwoods street. This region just doesn't get this kind of snow that frequently, so it's a really big deal when it does.

Haha, thanks for catching that Gryphon. After the blizzard DC is having now, it'll be a meter of snow on the ground! In some places, more than that since we had two storms last week that the snow hadn't fully melted from.

In any case, I found out yesterday that the only city with more snow than the DC area in the continental US is Syracuse, New York (and they're just barely beating us). Kinda cool.
