I run off to go find Von. I need to see if he happens to have the knife I ordered a while back. I always keep one with me, and I lost my last one. I find him on the edge of camp.
"Von!" I say, running towards him.
"Ah, Amaara, nice to see you again." He responds.
"Do you have the..."
"Knife? Yes, I do. Here you go." He pulls it out of a brown bag.
It is small, but the hilt is beautiful. It is engraved with a capital 'A' in gold and the rest of the hilt is covered in moonstones and diamonds.
"It is beautiful. Did you make it yourself?"
"I did, actually."
"I love it, really. I cant beleive you put all this work into something so simple."
"Making knives was always a talent of mine."
"Thank you." I say, giving him a quick hug. This really exceted my expectations.
I take out a small bag of gold. "Here, I think this will cover it." He takes the bag and nodds. He has no problem with me slightly over-paying him. He knows where I come from money isn't an issue.
