*This is my first storybook, please, tell me if I need to clarify anything.*


The main plot to this storybook is leading up to a confrontation of the 8 (I'll explain later on) and the Dark Prince. The 8 is a powerful organization in the Realm of Magic, working under the official ruler of Deralia, the central country. However, in the south lies the three Dark countries, Sapen, Urath, and Dasegar. The Eight is comprised of (obviously) eight members (Please PM me if you would like to be one of these, along with a very expansive profile.). They have many helpers, all from an another group known as the Alliance. This group contains all beings that can use magic. Also, there are rogues, smugglers and other types of people in the Realm. Okay, here's a few official rules.

1. Please PM me with any ideas that affect the map of the Realm, i.e. a country and it's position, or anything I haven't put in of that sort that you need for your post.
2. The members of the Eight all start out together, Alliance members must start with others in the Alliance (their squad), and all others are free to start wherever they wish.
3. If you cannot make at least a one-paragraph post, please do not post at all. I may do one-line posts just to nudge the story a little, but I promise to do that very little.
4. Do not kill anyone other than your own character withou both the permission of me and the creator of that character.
5. Limit characters to two per user.

I want to be an alliance member! Question: When you say alliance members have to start together do you mean they all have to be in the same place? Okay, on to my profile.

Special Powers/Abalities: Took Karate ever since she was seven.
Background: She forgot everything about her home and family when she got in a car crash a few years ago. Every now and then she gets little snippets of her past.
Up for love: Yes
Apperance: Shoulder length, layered black hair, and wide, extremely light, blue eyes. She's five feet five inches and has a small frame. She always wears a necklace with a silver key attatched to it, though she does not know how it got there, she has never gotten around to removing it.
Attitude: She's mostly quiet, just chooses to follow along with whatever the game plan is, unless she dosnt agree with the plan, that's when she voices her word. She hates big crowds and will try to advoid them. She is a mellow and laid back girl and does not like noisy, loud, obnoxius, dramatic people.
Weapon: A double bladed sword that she carries in a case on her back.

Specific powers/abilities: Can use a sword well AND can inflict pain on any level to any person she chooses. Since it is done through her head the person being attacked has no warning.



Background: Raised a rich girl and brought up in the court of the palace. She became a member of the eight when she was 18.

Name: Jon Von Schlick (AKA "The Von")

Age: 83 (Full of experience and charisma)

Occupation: Alliance Member & Independant Merchant

Affiliation: Alliance

Specific powers/abilities: Expert in knowledge, intelligence and philosophy and world renound for it.


Background: At a young age, Schlick's parents moved away to carry out their independant merchandising across seas. Schlick never saw them again. By the age of 15 he'd opened up his very own Merchant's workshop and began selling and distributing on behalf of the Alliance. When Schlick came to the age of 22, he travelled the world. He obtained vast amounts of knowledge and wisdom, his speeches showed great charisma and he spread the word of the greatness of the Alliance. Upon returning home at the age of 38, Schlick became an independant merchandiser, foraging his own career and creating a world sorted network of businesses. However the People of Eight still use Schlick as an informant. He tells them inside info and rumours on the street. He is their third party contact and of great use to the Eight and the Alliance. Schlick travelled to the indepths of the lands of the Alliance when he was 55 and began building his franchise once again. He's extremely rich and wealthy. Upon turning 70 he found out what had been the fate of his parents and he built a memorial in their honour, known as the "Plaza de Von", it is a landmark of the alliance.



Up for love: No. He was married once, but he found her to be a drawback and she left him for an older man.

Attitude: Always willing to help and has a huge urge for more knowledge. He is adventurous, curious and nosey. He is also a great businessman and generally gets what he wants. He has an ear for things that go on and truly beleives he is helping the Alliance for the 'greater good'.



Weapons: Small concealed pistol and a long wooden walking stick.

Name: Kabuto Mali-Velta

Age: 21

Occupation: One of the Eight

Affiliation: None, aside from the Eight. Formerly of the Mali-Velta clan.

Specific powers/abilities: Kabuto is capable of changing his shape to mimic that of anyone he has had physical contact with. Moreover, he can absorb the memories of others, meaning that he can adopt almost any disguise with uncanny perfection.

Background: Kabuto was born into the Mali-Velta clan, a collection of several traveling families, much like gypsies. While for the most part they were entertainers, some, such as Kabuto and his father, displayed certain abilities. These were usually in the same vein as Kabuto's, but never to the full extent that his developed to. Whilst traveling along the border of Dasegar, however, the Mali-Velta were set upon by servants of the Dark Prince, who was searching for Kabuto's father, believing him to be the one destined to join the Eight. The clan was slaughtered, with Kabuto only escaping by taking the memories and shape of one of the soldiers, then riding into the north as if in pursuit of a stray clansman. He no longer holds any true affiliations, but has sworn a vow of revenge against the Dark Prince.

Attitude: He is cautious and reserved, with apparently endless supplies of patience and self-control. This, at times, can make him seem inhuman and unapproachable to others. He doesn't talk much, and when he does it is in a careful, measured tone. He puts little store in first impressions, seeking to analyse others more over time.

Weapons: A thing-bladed, single-edged, and nondescript longsword.

Other: When he absorbs the memories of others, there is a strong chance that they are permanently lost to the victim. Moreover, he has to carefully maintain the distinctions between his real memories and those of others. He has a deep fear of someday slipping into madness.
