Name: Sanngii Cor Vien

Age: 26

Occupation: Member of the Eight

(If any)Affiliation: Ruler of the Realm.

Specific powers/abilities: Able to copy any power. He see's what's being done, mentally connects it with a word or phrase, and can use it when he says that phrase in combination with magic energy.

Background: He was once a traveling bard from a young age. His master, a very good bard, noticed his power. He trained him in secret, discovering his ability. They made a small fortune in the magical communites in central Deralia. The bard would challenge a wizard to perform a spell he thought none other could do. Sanngii would then copy him. Eventually, they made enough enemies, they had to flee. To this day, some people still carry a grudge. One of those grudge holders sought out and killed his old master. Sanngii retrieved the flute and harp of the bard, and went to the capital of Deralia, where he was accepted for advanced training. Within a year, he was accepted into the Eight. He is now the highest ranking member of the Eight.

Up for love: For sure.

Appearence: Black haired, with brilliant emerald eyes. Average height, wiry, flexible body.

Attitude: A traveller's attitude. He is rarely not on the move. If he is cooped up, he becomes aggressive.

Weapons: Staff the becomes metal when he needs it to be. Magic. Two daggers, and a bow.

**********************

Now to start.

Sanngii stood from the trail of the Dark Prince's men. He pointed.

"They are on their way to the Camesa border."

Kabuto nodded.

"On we go."

And the Eight, about to meet a great challenge, went on.
"I'll be a hero if I live."
"You'll live."
"Until I die."

(You haven't PM'd me Apollo but I'm putting my profile up so other people can see. If I'm saying anything wrong, I guess I can edit?))

Name: Sheena

Age: 21

Occupation: One of the Eight

Specific powers/abilities: I'm an earth elemental. I use the trees, the rocks, and the bushes to fight. I can also talk to animals which can, in fact, come in handy. Many people say that my powers aren't as powerful as more conventional magic users but I prove them wrong easily.

Background: I come from what you could call the middle class of Deralia. My parents aren't the most famous in all the country nor are they the wealthiest but we make do. I am the youngest of eight and often forgotten. Becoming one of the Eight was totally uncalled for. I was an odd child growing up, not really fitting in with everyone else. It didn't help that I always cut my hair short so people always mistake me for a boy. School was hard for me and going home wasn't any better with so many siblings taking up all the attention. Soon, the forest was the only place where I could find peace and that was when I found out how the earth and I were connected. I started talking to animals and then soon I came to the conclusion that I was an Earth Elemental. I was shocked but the signs were all there. Within days, I was throwing rocks with my mind and bending trees to my will. The forest became my second home and no one knew where my hiding place was. It was my little secret. That is until, I was found out...the same day I was made one of the Eight.

Up for love: Very much so.

Appearence: I have short red hair which makes me look like a boy but at least I don't have to worry about my hair getting caught in the branches while I'm climbing trees. My mother always has said I have the most beautiful round brown eyes however I'm not sure what to come of it. I'm tall for my age and thin.

Attitude: I wouldn't say I have an attitude, just a ton of personality. I don't stand for any injustices (especially against animals and the environment) and I tend to have a mind that doesn't censor itself. So pardon the rudeness every now and then.

Weapons: My mind, my animals, my wooden staff. Take that.
----------

"I don't think I understand. Just because you're the highest ranking of all of us doesn't mean you have to be so vague on how exactly we're going to do this." I muttered, half to myself yet still meeting the piercing emerald eyes of Sanngii. I shrugged and fell back into our little huddle. I felt so out of place in the Eight. I knew my powers were just as important as theirs but it was so hard to prove. They all had mentors. I had myself and the privacy of the forest. It was obvious that the rarity of the earth elemental was what got me into the Eight. I was also one of the youngest. Proving myself has always been something I've been obsessed with and now faced with a truly dangerous plan and challenge as confronting the Dark Prince, matters aren't any different.

Jon Von Schlick / "The Von"

Von Schlick was going about his daily business of street selling his merchandise. Despite being one of the richest men in the world, he still chose the face-to-face contact with the people as opposed to the running of the business. He left that to his dwarf accountant.

Schlick also knew that by staying on the people level, he could constantly feed his wise information and pick up rumours to the advantage of the Alliance. His high respect amongst the Eight was large and he wanted to keep it that way.

A young woman came into his shop and began looking at some books of the world and tales of Von's travels.

"'Ello Maddam," croaked Schlick, "Can I 'elp you?"

"Just looking, Sir," she said, gradually turning towards me. She recognised my face and instantly shouted in shock, "The Von! Is that you?"

"Er, yes, Maddam," replied Schlick nervously, "Do I have the honour of already having made an acquaintance?"

"No, sir, we haven't!" She cried, "I'm so glad that now we 'ave! I've been growin' up to your tales durin' the whole of my childhood!"

Schlick laughed proudly.

"Merely a wise bank o' knowledge these days, Maddam, I'm afraid."

"Nonsense," she laughed, "You're an 'ero out there!"

The conversation continued to drift into the afternoon and eventually Schlick managed to sit himself down to a nice cup'a tea and a read of a good book. One he'd read not so long ago, but there's nothin' like a good recount, he thought.

Sanngii:

"Sheena." Sanngii whispered as they moved on through the forest.
"Yes?" She replied, a little suprised.
"I need you to blend in, go ahead of us, and make a little mischeif in their camp. We'll camp on the border. Come back around midnight. I'll send Kabto with you, so you can work together. Hurry."
Sheena nodded, eager to prove herself as good as Kabuto.
Sanngii walked up to Kabuto.
"Kabuto, I need you to go with Sheena. You'll be slowing down their forces. They're heading towards the border, but that should bring the Faren General close enough to a major Alliance informant to sense deception. I'll notify "The Von" that his situation is in danger. The Alliance should be able to send in some agents to help, but speed is of the essence."
Ever the silent, Kabuto gave a single nod. He walked over to Sheena, and together, they slid into the woods.
Sanngii looked at them for a moment, then continued on. At a small stream, he called a halt to rest and refill waterskins. He jumped off his mount and came into a small clearing. He began to magically record a message to transmit.

"Situation in trouble. Contact Alliance, get help. Leave for central Deralia! I know you won't like it. But Faren General."

He finished, and sent the message as an image with sound to Jon's private office, set to play when he opened the door and was alone.

Kabuto

Keeping sight of Sheena's movements ahead of him was difficult, given her orders and their location. Kabuto kept his eyes wide open, taking in every tiny movement in his surroundings. Anything that moved slightly more than it should naturally have was a sign of where the earth elemental was. It wasn't a foolproof way of following her through the forest, but his training in the clan did help.

As they approached the camp, Kabuto glimpsed a movement to his right. He stopped, turning and focusing on it, half-drawing his sword. Only a squirrel... He straightened, looking at the tiny creature. It stared straight back at him, unmoving. It was under orders from Sheena, that much was apparent after only a few seconds.

The squirrel darted ahead, back on the way towards the camp. A few steps later, Kabuto almost tripped over Sheena. She'd blended so well into her surroundings that it was impossible to see her without looking directly at her from less than a metre away. She looked back at him, and then pointed ahead.

The guard's head was swinging left and right, his eyes wide beneath the rim of his helmet. He couldn't see them yet, concealed as they were by a tangle of branches. Probably Sheena's work. Kabuto glanced at Sheena, giving an almost imperceptible nod. This one would do just fine. He needed a new disguise.

Edging back into the undergrowth, the clansman started to circle around, ears pricked to detect every sound in the area, wary for the heavy stamp of hobnailed boots. He emerged again behind the soldier, his steps quiet, but not even coming close to matching the perfect silence with which Sheena could move through the forest. The guard turned, reaching for his sword and opening his mouth to shout.

Kabuto grabbed him by the head, one hand on each side, staring straight into his eyes as he began draining his memories out. He saw flashes of the camp, bottles of cheap wine being passed around, coins changing hands as dice tumbled across the ground. He knew who this man was now, knew his friends, and knew the position of the important parts in the camp.

The guard collapsed, a quivering wreck with no memories of anything after the moment he paused outside the recruitment office. Kabuto glanced down at him. "You're lucky I found you, your family said you've been missing for years." He pointed to the north, away from the encampment, "Edge of the forest's that way, just keep walking until you reach it." The man nodded and scrambled off in that direction.

Kabuto signed to Sheena that she could come out now, in the meantime he changed his shape, his face warping a little as it broadened, copying the guard's, and his clothes shifting through several different colours before settling on the uniform. He glanced over at Sheena. "Don't forget that this is me." He wasn't exactly keen on the prospect of a tree fall on him just because she mistook him for an actual soldier.

Jon Von Schlick "The Von"

Time to close up, Schlick said to himself bolting up the door and amusing himself at the sight of a few of his books. He adored his books and wouldn't let them out of his sight or go a day without reading one. Schlick retired to his room and as soon as he shut the door behind him, a magical message came through. It was from Sanngii.

"Situation in trouble. Contact Alliance, get help. Leave for central Deralia! I know you won't like it. But Faren General."

Schlick cursed.

He chugged the remainder of his cup of tea and then began packing all his valuables in a bag that was practically bottomless. His books were piled in and he was in great hurry but ever so conscious not to forget anything. Although most of his intellectual valuables were already in the centre of Deralia, he had a few essentials he knew he'd regret not taking.

Ten minutes passed before Schlick was ready to leave. He grabbed his top hat and made for the door, but before he left, he took a match and set a blaze his shop. It was of great importance that Schlick's information didn't end up in the wrong hands. He began jogging for his horse that was in the stables just south of here. Near to the border.

I wont be able to post for a little while, grounded, sorry. Bring me in a little though so I have somewhere to start when I am un-grounded.

Amaara

I walked into the camp. Were in trouble, again. I had just finished talking to von earilier. I had never met him much before today, but had heard plenty about him. I had worn a disguise though. u allways did in public. I walked up to Sheena.

"Have you seen Shangii?"

"I did, he is right over there." She pointed in a general dirrection. I walk over to him.

"What is the problem now?" I ask him. It seems everyone, expecially me, is allways in trouble. I think every bad thing that could happen to me, short of death, has happened.

"Do you really want to know?" He asks.

"Yes, I want to know what I am running from now." He laughs, he somehow finds the 'running' part very fuuny. He knows I hate fighting. Why cant everyone just get along?

Jon "The Von" Schlick

Upon reaching the stables, Schlick flung his luggage over his horses back and stroked his face.
"It's time we left, dear Susan," he said, looking into the horses eyes. She neyed back at him and began bobbing her head.
"On another adventure," he told her. She bobbed once more, "No, m'love, I'm not getting too old for it, don't you worry."
Schlick mounted his horse and just as he was about to set off, the sounds of battle hoarded ever closer and some were far closer than he had thought. The Von was in trouble.

I nodded at Kabuto. A tuft of his silvery white hair could still be seen with his helmet on so I decided to use that as a way to differentiate him from the others. Just in case, I tried to keep an eye on him at all times. I swiftly ran back into the edge of the forest and climbed one of the trees so I could see the entire camp.

It wasn't huge but it wasn't small either. Mischief, eh? I smiled to myself and watched as Kabuto walked silently around. The tree I was in was obviously old which was good. Its roots would go far. I pressed both my hands onto one of its branches and I closed my eyes. When I felt the roots in my mind, I opened them and I was ready.

I was in control of the roots of the tree and I could see them moving under the ground. Soon, the roots came above ground and made them spiral around one of the soldier's tents. I pressed my hands harder onto the branch so the tent was completely in the root's grasp. Then I quickly let go of the branch and watched as the roots took the tent completely underground, the soldier's screams becoming muffled.

I laughed a little and then frowned when I saw my hands. They were bloody and blistered. I sighed and tried to climb back down from the tree as painlessly as I could and walked back to Kabuto.

"You don't happen to have something to bind these up, do you?" I whispered, showing him my hands.

Amaara

I didn't get why Sheena had to go and kill soldiers left and right that hadn't done anything to us. Most of them were forced into there jobs, and then they went and died for a cause they didn't belive in. It just made me so sad. I went and told this to Sheens.

"Oh, cool it Amaara they haven't done anything to us...yet. at least my death is painless. Unlike yours. You can't kill, just cause pain. With the exception of dieing from blood loss, you cant kill."

"Maybe I dont want to."

"Oh, but you do. You wish you could painlessly kill. But you cant."

"Nevermind, Sheena." I said.

"Okay, everyone, we need to catch the tail party. We've been avoiding them; but with the main party distracted, we can face them. We'll all split up. Make sure it's a Dark Prince solider, we don't want to harm civilians."

He dropped back to Amaara. "Amaara, I know your policies about death. But I need to say this. This specific force is not ordinary. Because of the Faren General, they are all literal Minions, souless bodies, suffering a fate that death would be welcome. I don't agree with sensless killing, but this... this is worse. I sensed Kabuto free one. I intend to ask him how, but for now... death is their only option."

Amaara hesitantly nodded. Sanngii stood up. As Amaara left, he stood alone, deliberating.
Should I stay, taking care of the soldiers, or help The Von? was his question. He decided that he would be ready to Travel, if The Von needed his help. With that decided, he walked into the forest.
Once there, he saw someone. He sensed magic ability. So he decided to... aquire it. In order to keep the Minion distracted, he projected my voice to seem to come from an opposite tree. He sang the Ballad of the Horns.
The Minion investigated. Sanngii jumped silently into the clearing, and gripped the back of the Minion's head. He drained him of any special ability. Then, to be safe, he removed his memory, until he found the point that he had noticed his special ability. When he had become a Minion. Suddenly, the Minion became human again. Sanngii realized something. Minionism was not permanent. After setting the newly re-born human, nameing him Rean, he got ready to search out more.

Jon "The Von" Schlick

Schlick rode as fast as he could but the minions were already hot on his tale. He cursed and unsheathed his sword. He headed for a long wooden bridge up ahead and galloped on in hope. The minions had bows and arrows and Schlick could feel the danger he was in.

He was close to the bridge now. Arrows were landing around him, dotting into the ground. One flew past his ear, just missing. Just another 20m to go... the arrows were getting closer now and just before he could reach the bridge, his horse, Susan, fell to the ground and Schlick was thrown off of her and into the sandy dirt.

Dammit.

Schlick got up and faced the charging minions. Could he leave Susan on her own? To die? There was no choice. He ran up to her and gave her a small kiss and a stroke, before grabbing his luggage and taking to the bridge. Schlick had had Suzie as his horse for over twenty years. He needed to stay focused. Schlick washed away his sad thoughts and ran as fast as he could. He knew he couldn't outrun the minions in his old age but he tried all the same. Upon reaching the other end, Schlick drove his sword through the ropes that held the bridge up in place. All the minions on his tail fell to their graves.

It wasn't time to relax or celebrate. More were gathering on the otherside and the arrows began to fall once more. Schlick couldn't run all the way to central Deralia, he needed to contact the Alliance, before it was too late.
