What was the hilarious exception by the way? Back in 2006 to 2008 we had a problem with the admin of Drytear Poetry. He kept joining YWS to spam our members with requests to join his site. Attempts to get him to stop this and attempts to reason with his junior admins all failed. So left with no recourse, we organized a total trolling attack on Drytear. That was the last time their admin tried to spam us, although he kept on doing it to other sites.
By the way, that Drytear incident illustrates something else. Drytear is now known on many literary websites for its admin's spam messages. The site itself is decent enough, but because of the spam, Drytear has a terrible reputation. So on YWS, we try to keep our reputation high by not being jerks.
Yet, do try to recommend YWS whenever the situation arises! We get a lot of members especially from Yahoo Answers.
