Riley

I walk slowly into the spare house.

"I am proud of you." I said to the darkness where James surley was.

"Why?" Came a response.

"You just left, didn't do anything stupid or illegal.

"Riley, I set a building on fire."

"Oh, well I still don't blame you. I get pretty upset sometimes too."

"You didn't burn a building."

"But I left the country. And I am the leader. I have no right."

Reg Carter

What happened today wasn't right. There's no way I should've hesitated at the sight of Bree. It shouldn't have happened. I combated the thoughts. Grr. If I'd been ready for James' outbreak he would've been dead instantly. A simple twirl of his arm and a snapping of the neck.

It was what I was good at. But I was also intelligent; something Riles seemed to have forgotten.

James had decided that he would leave. It was fair enough, I had nothing against him. The simple events of that night though had brung my mind into a real state. It was time to get the job done now or never.

It was time to be rid of my past. Time to clear the memories, & time to start living.

I grabbed an automatic 12mm MP5 and some clips of ammo, as well as some of the bulletproof gear and two handguns. I had a stretchy black sock which I pulled over my face. I could still see through the thin fabric though. It was time.

Just as I was about to leave, Riles voice sounded behind me.

"Reg, where you going?" she asked, briskly.

"I always told you, Riles" I begun, "That one day, it would be time."

"The past?" she said.

"Yes."

"Okay, Reg," she looked deeply into my eyes. That was it. That was Riles. She'd remembered why she'd invited me. I was here to keep the group secure, whilst she ran it. I was here to get rid of those people she didn't need to worry about.

Unusually, she ran up to me and hugged me.

"Good luck, Reg," she said.

"I'll come back alive, Riles," I said, assuringly, "So don't waste your empathies on me."

She smiled and went back to her strong self.

"I hope you relieve yourself of your past," she said, sturnly.

"I will," I replied and gave her that classic wink.

The sound of the 4x4 trembled through the landscapes and appartments. The noise, slowly fading away.

"Go to mexico." I tell James.

He nodds slowly, "That might be for the best."

I get out a peice of paper and write down:

Jack,

James is the best fighter in america, canada, or maybe even Mexico. He is brave, loyal, and self-sacrificing. If he comes back anything close to dead I will come down to Mexico and kill you myself. Good luck with everything.

Riley

(And by the way, in case me calling you an idiot in my last visit didn't get the point across, we are OVER.)

I hand the note to James and tell him to give it to Jack.

"I don't care if you read it." I say, then walk back to the apartment to go find Reg.

(Kaywiia: What we doing plot wise now? Because I'll probably post a bit about Reg freeing himself from the past and doing the "job". What'll be the next "big thing"?)

Ideas:

Option One: Riley's letter makes Jack really mad, and that whole gang is now against the fishers, starting a war between the two.

Option Two: The hiding place of the group is discovered and the whole group has to go down to mexico until things clear up a bit. And you can imagine all the problems that could hapen down there.

Tell me which you like better...

I like option 2, it'll keep the story going longer.

After Reg does 'the job'. And Ben, just post 'the job' section after this.

Riley

I hear sierns. Holy cow, we did not need this.

"Everyone, get to Mexico, NOW. Mitch, I offically give you permission to go as fast as your bike can. Reg, kill them off. We don't have much time." Reg takes out a few guns and tosses one to me and one to Bree.

Where was James when you needed him?

I step out the door and start shooting. Bree steps beside me, and kills double the amout I did. She pushes Reg out of the way of a bullet. He thanks her. The shooting continues, finally, the police are dead.

"Move out." I yell, and we all hop on our motorcycles. Reg brings Bree in his car, and we all go about fifty miles over the speed limit to Mexico. Or course Mitch is going like 250 mph.

We arive at the warehouse. I knock on the door.

"Who is it?" Jack asks.

"Who do you think?" I say.

"Oh Riles, come in." I step into the warehouse.

"Why are you here?" Mark asks. He is Jack's second in command.

"The police found us in America. We need to hide here for a bit." Jack comes up and puts his arm around me.

"What part of 'we are over', do you not understand?" I say.

"Sorry, I though James might be lying."

"Where is he?" I ask.

"Dead."

"What, you got him killed? Jack, I loved him. One hundred times more than I ever loved you." I knew now I did. couldn't deny it anymore. We were meant for each other. And he was dead.

Then James stepped out of the darkness.

"He was kidding." James said.

Jaden, I'll bring you in

James~~
I smiled, "I'll check the roads with Suzie to make sure you weren't followed."

We both headed out the door but as I passed Reg I whispered, "Keep her safe 'till I get back, ok?" I saw riley out of the corner of my eye, the shock still evident on her face; guess she hadn't meant for me to hear that.

Suzie was standing by my motorcyle outside but I motioned her to the small Honda parked to the side. I had stolen it once I got here because not many people drove expensive cars, so it attracted less attention.

we drove in silence for a while, but eventually I asked, "What happened?"

James hadn't acnowledged what I said about him. This was either really good, or really bad.

"So you choose me over him." Jack said with repulsion.

"I don't think he returns the feelings." I said.

"He does, more than you think. I watch him."

"Oh, I don't know. It doesn't seem like James has any feelings in the romantic category."

"None that you know about." Reg commented.

"Riles likes James..." Mark began in a sing song voice. I took a knife from under my belt and threw it inches above his head. I hate him sometimes.

"Ah, give it a rest. You like him, and he probably likes you, end of story." Jack said.

"I don't just like him." I say, my face growing hot.

"Ah, James just doesn't know how to express feelings." Jackie said.

"Or he has none to show." Reg contradicted.

I climb up an old latter to the top of the warehouse, and watch as the sun sets in the dark sky. Before long, I hear footsteps behind me. I turn around, it is James.

Suzie-

"I actually really don't know. One minute we're in the hangout and the next there are sirens outside. Your guys' heist must have caught more attention than planned."

I saw his knuckles turn white as his hand clenched and unclenched the steering wheel. Suddenly a play-evil smirk crossed my mouth.

"Soo... what's the news with you and Riley?"

"You really know how to ruin a tense moment don't you?" he asked, his voice angry. I smiled. "Mmhm."

Silence. I hate silence. But instead of me breaking it with something random and stupid, it was actually "Mr I-don'talk"

... *thanks Riders. You can answer from here.*

The Job - Reg Carter

After leaving the appartment, I checked the gun again. I was racing down the motorway, burning up fuel like it was a catalyst in some pointless chemistry experiment.

I'd arrived at the house. It was surrounded by armed police and guards. Inside, was my Uncle Freddy. The very same person who'd spent 7 years tracking me down after I'd murdered my parents. The very same person that sent hounds into the forests. And the very same person, who shot my sister dead in cold blood.

It was time to get this bastard. One way or the other.

I took the safety off my pistol and slowly attatched a silencer. I carefully admired the faint pitter-patter of the rain that cursed it's way towards the ground. Then I turned and entered the gates.

Two policemen quickly found my gaze, only to be greeted by the cold metal of a bullet bursting through their torsos. I grinned and continued into the rainy night. My heart pounded. My mind burned with flashbacks of the past.

He was going to die.

I walked closer to the front entrance. A sniper's scope trailed me. Before he could get a shot, I noticed and gifted him with a double tap in the head. He died instantly. I kicked the front door and 3 waiters turned to me in astonishment.

No mercy.

I shot all three down and they laid to rest in a pool of their own blood. It was time to go upstairs. I took one of the machine guns from the undercoat of the closest waiter and jogged upstairs. Four guards greeted my presence and I greeted theirs with bursts of fire, ripping them to shreds and throwing them over the balconies. I walked gradually upto the oak door marked "Do not disturb". My hand grasped the cold iron and then I turned the nob. There in the room was Uncle Freddy and his wife. Both in deep sleep.

I woke them up with a glass of water and Freddy instantly raised his hands, his wife quivered in fear.

"Uncle Freddy," I bemused.

"Reg, don't you -" he began.

"Oi, oi. Don't reach assumptions you old bodger. I'm the one with the gun, this time," I said. My gazing grey eyes pierced through his tired pupils.

"Uncle Freddy, do you love your wife?" I asked.

"Very much so" he replied.

"Good," I said, shooting his wife four times in the chest. He didn't even jump.

"Why YOU F-"

"Now, now," I said looking at him, the cold gun barrel pressed hard against the side of his head. "You murdered my sister. You trailed me for seven years. You made me into who i am. You made me a merciless fighter. Now you'll see what you made me."

And with that, I dropped the gun, delved into a small backpack I had and pulled out a crobar. He wouldn't live long. But for what he did live. He'd live in pain.

Ben, that was an awesome post, by the way.

Riley

I turned to face James. He sat down beside me.

I realized what a big hole I had gotten myself into. Showing emotion was being weak, and if refused, I had put myself in the risk of being hurt.

But I was ready for whatever James would say.

If he felt the same way towards me, well, that would just make life a hell of a lot easier.

If no, I understtod why. He wanted not to be weighed down by this group. He wanted to be able to move around freely, and not have to worry about looking back.

I could never have been that way. I had to lead, and I had to have others follow me, it was natural for me.

James wasn't a follower, or a leader, he just did what he could to make things work.

We sat in silence for a minute.

"James, you know, obviously, how I feel about you. Don't spare my feelings, just be honest, do you return those feelings?"

Reg Carter

I wandered around the groundfloor of Jack's base. The memories of being here were only brought to me by the stench of damp and the cold airy atmosphere. I looked over at Jack, who seemed a little down.

"Jack," I said.

"What?" He shouted back, with his fists clenched.

"Bloody 'ell Jack," I replied, "You need to get your act together son."

"Shut up, Reg," He said angrily, " Who are you to say I need to get my act together? You, with your blimmin' past. I should be telling you!"

"Too far, Jack," I said, peering at him with a deadly gaze.

"No, no it isn't Reg. You could only ever think about the past. That sister of yours. Your murders! The blood on your hands."

"TOO FAR JACK," I shouted, spitting at him with a roar of noise.

"Reg, don't you dare shout at me. And I know you. You can't handle your past!" He said, snydily.

"I did say, 'too far'," and with that I launched myself at him. jack didn't stand a chance. Not only was I angry, but I was clean of thoughts, I was awoken by new feelings. I was the best fighter. He'd die, just like Freddy. I wrapped my hands around his rubbery neck and squeezed hard. His jugular vein burned with hot pulses as he gasped for his living breaths. He was about to go. so close. But then someone shot a gun into the air and I turned to see one of the other southern members with a pistol, pointed at me.

"Let him go," the young lad said.

"Fine," I grinned. "But you've just made this fight include you too."

The young lad shook with fear at those words. And Jack got up his face red hot with colour.

"I-I'm sorry... R-Reg," Jack said, "I shouldn't h-have... m-mentioned your past..."

"Sorry just won't cut it, Jack," I said, "You'll need to watch your back from now on."

I walked out of the base and lit a cigarette.

I have lived through much, and now I think I have found what is needed for happiness. A quiet secluded life in the country, with the possibility of being useful to people to whom it is easy to do good... then rest, nature, books, music, love for one's neighbor - such is my idea of happiness.
