Thanks Ben...

Riley

I waited slowly for James to answer, then was shocked when I heard a pistol go off downstairs. I run down the stairwell to find Marks pistol pointed at reg, and Reg was looking with fury at James.

"Do you mind?" I hissed, "We are here one day and already you are fighting. Cant you just get along."

"Silly Riles, don't you know that fighting is part of life here? In the old days..." Jack started.

"I was young and stupid. The fact that I loved you is proof of that. You keep your group under control, Jack, and I will do the same for mine. I come here as an equal to you now, and I come with my own group. N one has died in my group in almost two years. Maybe you could learn something."

"Defensive, touchy, almost." Mark commented. I resisted the urge to kill him.

"Look at people as PEOPLE Jack, not as pawns." I say, he laughs.

"I might not be able to call you Tiger anymore, you have softened up, Riles." Jack sneered.

"Its not weakness to value human life." I say. I turn to Reg, "And no matter how much he irritates you, unless he makes the first move you will not threaten or attack him, do you understand?"

"Riles, I can't help it, he is just so much of a...."

"Idiot, I know, but you will not do anything to him. That goes for you too James. Mitch, Suzie, I don't think either of you would try, so, just....don't." I look right at the two of them, they nodd.

"Let them have some fun." Jack said, "Besides, it looks like Mitch has never gotten in a real fight in his life." Jack was instagating, and he knew it.

"As far as YOU know." Mitch mumbled.

"why do you think we had to come down here, Mitchs fighting skills go us all in trouble with the law...." Suzie said.

Jack sighed, "If thats what you want to belevie, that is okay. But we all know, Riles, you just wanted an excuse to spend time with me." He starteed to some closer. I realized what he was doing. It took every fiber of my being not to shoot him. Instead, I pucnched him square in the face, and climbed back up to the room. Idiot.

James~~

Before I could answer there was a gunshot and she took off down the stairs. I followed and listened to the argument break out. I didn't like this place; it was distant, even for people running from the law. Couldn't these people see that we were all fighting for the same thing?

After Riley punched Jack in the face I followed her up the ladder to her room and sat next to her on her bed.

"Riley... I don't really know how to say this, but yes. I do."

She looked over at me, "Why haven't you said anything before?"

"Because we could die any day. One of us could do a job wrong and get killed, and I knew if I got attached I wouldn't be able to do what I needed to keep everyone else safe."

"So you weren't just gonna break ties and start a new life?"

I shook my head, "But I looked out for you in my own way. I followed the group on every job you told me not to go on, I watched you when you went to get food- and I almost killed the guy every time- I did the same for everyone in the group; just to make sure they were safe."

"Why?"

"Because we do something good here, and if we don't do it, who will?"

"I cant tell you how glad I am you return the feelings. But I am glad you didn't kill Marcello. He was a friend of mine." I say to James.

"That twisted, sick-minded, blood loving freak is your friend? Sometimes, Riley..."

"He has saved my life many times, expecially when I was in the south all the time. he is the only reason I lived more than a week. I owe him my life. The price he asks is very little."

"I see, I guess, what you mean now."

"But I think you could, if you wanted to."

"Do what?"

"Keep everyone safe. You are good at focusing at what you need to do."

"Thank you, and I guess, if you think I could, I might be able to open up a bit."

I smile slowly. This was working out perfectly. We both lean over at the same time and kiss. Thne Jack maches upstairs. He comes in.

"Bloody hell!" Jack says.

I get up, "You did that on purpose." I accuse him calmly.

"He doesn't deserve you. He has no feelings." Jack said.

"That you know of." I say, "Your just jealous."

"Yes, he is." James retorted. Hurt, Jack walked back down the latter. I grinned. This night might have been the best of my life.

I stood outside, the cold air waving past my face. The faint sound of voice from within the base. The shouting from Jack and a small noise from out over the fields. I took another puff of the cigarette and at this point, Bree came outside.

"Hey," she said.

I looked at her and smiled, but remained silent, focusing back on the cigarette.

"I keep seeing you look at me," she continued, strutting her stuff, in a way.

"You remind me of my sister," I said, looking outwards across the fields, serious but there was an upset emotion, beneath the armour.

"Is that all?" She asked.

No it wasn't, I thought. But I remained cold and put it out of my mind. "Yes."

"Oh," she said in return, with a dissapointment in her voice. Yet she didn't give up and stayed out. The wind was harsh.

"Brr," she said, cheekily, crossing her arms gesturing that she was cold.

I winked at her and laughed. "You'll be needing to do more than that to get my jacket off, love."

She merely laughed and replied, "We'll see." And with that she went back inside and I was left to the sounds of the south once more.

Bree

Gah, that was a pretty pathetic display of semi-affection on my part. It worked on every other guy. I let out a little hiss. Jack came storming downstairs.

"Stupid idiot-loving-two-faced-son-of-a...." Jack started.

"What?" I asked,cutting him off.

"Riles and James were kissing, gah, I thought she had better taste."

"I think you are jealous." I said.

"I am not." He growled.

"Ah, cool it, she don't like her Jacker anymore." Reg said, coming in.

"You know what, Reg, I liked you better when you were in the north and I didn't have to put up with you every day." JAck said.

"Oh, cut the fighting. It is so not worth it. I don't know why you liked Riley so much. She isn't even that pretty." I said.

"To you." Jack mumbled. I threw him a cold glare.

I didn't like Jack and never really did. Him bringing up the past had automatically made him my enemy. Whether anyone else liked it or not. Bree could handle herself, I knew that, so I let Jack's rudeness pass.

He'd pay somewhen. When Riles had finished needing him. Then he'd suffer like Uncle Freddy. He'd die like Uncle Freddy.

"Reg?" Mitch asked. I was in my own world.

"Er, sorry," I said. "What?"

"It's dinner," he began, "and it's your favourite. It's beans."

"Delightful," I said sarcastically, winking at Mitch.

Bree walked beside me to the table and grabbed my hand. Awkward. It wasn't like me atall but a fait blush went over my face. How stupid. I sat down to the table next to Bree and opposite James and Riles.

"How long you planning on stayin' ere, Riles?" I asked. Gesturing a gun with two fingers toward Jack and pretending to shoot.

"We are staying until a friend of mine finds a new place for us, and until I get a chance to pay him." I felt James tense up beside me, in obvious anger.

"Okay." Reg said.

"And you will be coming back with us." I commented.

"What?" Reg said, in obvious anger.

"You will not hurt any member of the Foxes, expecially Jack."

"Oh, come on, you wouldn't really do that to me."

"She will, and you will listen." James groweled.

"This is getting very interesting." Suzie said, pulling up a chair and watching us like it was the best movie she had ever seen.

Bree stood up. "Come on Reg." And marched outside. He followed like an obediant dog.

"Wow," Mitch commented, "I have never seen you guys get so mad at each other so quickly."

"It is a talent of Riley's, making people mad in less than ten seconds. I wonder if that is a record." Suzie said, then looked at me to see if I was mad. I wasn't.

Bree

Stupid annoying sister. I stand up and say, "Come on Reg." he gets up like he was forced to obey me. I saw his face blush slightly. This was too easy. I throw a cold glance in Riley's direction then martch outside. I hop on her bike.

"Where are you going?" Reg asked.

"We are going to race, here to the Rio-Grande and back. Its only a fifteen minute ride each way." I said to him. He hopped on Mitch's bike, and we started riding towards the large river, going faster with each second that passed.

(Plot from here? :) is one of them going to be killed off in the race? Lol -- Oo and can we like keep Reg as the "bodyguard" of the group, as in the tough guy. He's sounding a little soft xD)

Riley sends Mitch to go find them, and he falls of his motorcycle because he uses James which is way to big for him... He does not die, but comes really close.... Close enough that the gang has to go to an American doctor to save him...

Ah right, okay then :)

Reg Carter

The wind was harsh against the speed of the bikes and the night was slowly casting it's beginnings across the fields. I flashed on the headlight to the motorcycle and gained a couple of yards over Bree. She was laughing loudly and she knew this was just one massive flirt.

I couldn't help myself laughing a little back and amusing myself with what I saw. She may be good looking and a right charmer, but it was the reminder of my sister that brought the real attraction to her. I knew that I wouldn't be able to resist her for as long as I knew this. And the thought wasn't going away.

Riles was probably stressed about what happened between me and Jack. She had every right to be. But I knew that she knew me all to well. Deep down she knew that I was right. That him bringing up the past was enough to kill him. Riles knew me better than anyone. She knew that my past. Was my past and she never questionned it. It was one of the reasons I had joined the gang and one of the reasons I'd put up with it.

Riles was a born leader, always had been. I was a born survivor and that was hoe we were different. I could never lead a team, but I could last forever on my own...
My mind was brought back to the race with a slap of cold air that came off of the river up ahead. Bree slowed her bike down to an almost stop and I was bewildered. Why's she stopping? So much for a race...

I turned around and drove up next to her. We both stopped and she got off the bike and ran over to the river, sitting beside it. I walked after her, a bit annoyed at the sentimentals to come.

"Just in time for the sunset," she smiled, her perfect lips lit up by the orange glow from the setting sun. I was drawn to her and sat next to her.

"Is this what you came out here for?" I asked.

"Nope," She said, laughing.

"What then?" I asked.

"For you, silly," she said looking at me deeply.

I looked at her back and couldnt help but laugh at how immature it all was. Yet for some reason, her charm was working.

"I see." I said, warily.

I go out to apologize to Reg and Bree. Then I see both mine and Mitch's bike were gone.

"I am going to kill them." I mumbled under my breath.

"Mitch, go find them." I say, walking back into the warehouse.

"Who?" He asked.

"Santa claus and the easter bunny, who do you think?"

"Wait, Santa's here?" Suzie asked. I close my eyes and count to ten.

"Bree and Reg." I say. Mitch nodds and went outside.

"My bikes gone." He commented.

"Did Santa steal it?" Suzie asked.

"Yes, he did. James, can Mitch use your bike?" I ask him. He sighs, then nods.

"But if it comes back here in anything less than perfect condition, he owes me a new one." James said to me. I nodd in agreement. A second later I hear the motor of the bike and go to sit down beside Jack. Bad choice. He puts his arm around me. I take out my pistol, shoot his hand, then walk upstairs.

As I go up I hear James laughing histerically mixed with Jack's cries of pain. For a minute, I almost apologize, then decide he isn't worth it.

Wow. Mexico... I don't think I can describe it. But when you can shoot each other's hands just for attempted flirting...

I watched Mitch leave and skipped back inside, outwardly trying to ignore Riley's "I broke up with you" tactics on getting Jack away from her.

Finally I got sick and tired of Jack swearing and crying so I took his hand and fixed it up. Nothing too difficult since the bullet went through cleanly and there was no tendon damage. Okay, enough with the boring doctor talk. What was really interesting was when Jack and James suddenly brawled it out.

What I'm not sure about is the "it" they were fighting about. I think I heard Jack mutter something and then James jumped on him and started swinging. I walk over to Jackie.

"Boys."
"Oh please don't tell me you're archaeologists."

Bree

I see Mitch on james bike ride towards us. Crap, I was in trouble. Then Mitch attempted to stop by turning to the side. I knew what would happen a second before it did. The bike rolled on its sidee, tossing Mitch to the ground infront of us. His face is a bloody mess and his arms are hanging in very strange positions, they look broken.

I fumble in my pocket for my cell phone and call Riley.

"Riley?" I ask.

"Bree, I am going to..." She starts.

"Not important. Mitch crashed and I think his arms are broken. Riley, Mitch is going to die."

Pause on Rileys part. "Get him to the nearest AMERICAN hospital you can find. Don't let Reg go in, just you bring him. Check him in as Derran Pefer. I need to make another call. Don't arguem just do it. Call me when you are in the hospital and he is being treated." She says, and then the line disconnects.

Riley

I close my cell phone and call Marcello.

"Ah, Riley, what a surprise, what do you need?" He asks.

"Mitch got into a motorcycle accident. He needsto go to the hospital. I won't be able to pay the medical bills or pick him up when he is better."

"So you need me to pay all the medical bills. I will, for our little agreed price."

"Of course, just go to the hospital and...Wait, I think that is Bree on the other line with the name of the hosptial." I swich lines.

"St. Patrick Hosptial on Break Street." She says. I hang up and go back to Marcello. I repeat the information to him.

"Okay, and when you pay for the medical bills, I also found a nice little place for you and the rest of the gang." He says.

"Thank you, thats great. Thank you. I will pay as soon as I can." He hangs up.

I turn to James, "I think Mitch will owe you a new bike, if he lives."

Suzie-

I panicked. "Wait, what's wring with Mitch?"

I saw annoyance and pity cross her eyes as well as some sadness for Mitch. I hated those looks.

"Riley! What is freaking wrong with MITCH!" For a second she looked surprised but that soon past. I too was surprised. I never usually lose my temper.

"He crashed James' bike. Bree and Reg are getting him to a hospital, but..."

"No buts." Please don't continue, I wished.

"We need to get there," said Jackie.

"And that's why we're going," Riley answered.

"Duh," I muttered and went outside, pushing Mark or whatever his name was out of the way in doing so. Riley led with James riding on her bike, Jackie and I followed up.

You're going to be okay Mitch. You just have to.
