When writing your review, spend at least 10 to 15 minutes on it and carefully consider the work. To help everyone remember the purpose of reviewing, I've added a special banner just for reviewing Sunday. The quote on it reads:
You write to communicate to the hearts and minds of others what's burning inside you. And we edit to let the fire show through the smoke. - Arthur Polotnik
So when you review, help the author to reveal thyself and to help the author improve. Be sure to explain why you liked or didn't like something, and don't be afraid that you'll look foolish if you try to point out major things. I used to stand in front of a crowd of 300 teenage boys singing Boom Chicka Boom at the top of my lungs every Friday every summer for four years straight. If you don't think of yourself as looking foolish, then that thought will never cross the minds of others.
So get out there and let the fire show through the smoke.
As long as the banner with the space shuttle is up, it is officially YWS reviewing Sunday even though it may be Saturday or Monday where you live. Let us know here how many reviews you have done during this time (and yes, even reviews you make on Saturday/Monday do count as long as the space shuttle banner is up).
