I love rainbows
They always make me smile
I love to sit down
And stare at it for a while

I love flowers
And how beautiful they are
They'll always catch my eye
No matter how far

I love animals
They are always so unique
Some have fur or scales
Some even have a snout or a beak!

I love my friends
They are always so strange
But I love them anyways
And that's something that will never change

I love my family
They are always there
I will never leave them
And always care

But, the thing I love the most
Will always be you
Because all the nice things you say
And all the great things you do!

Don't frown, because you may never know who may be falling in love with your smile. ♥

Aw, what a cute poem! It kind of reminds me of the Hallmark Cards (you know, the romantic ones) or perhaps a poem that would belong to an illustrated children's book. I like the snout part... I'm kind of obsessed with pigs (thus, I have an oink in my name) but it reminds me of cute little piggies bouncing around. Adorable!

Anyway, I would suggest breaking up the poem a little so that it would look like this:

I love rainbows
They always make me smile
I love to sit down
And stare at it for a while

I love flowers
And how beautiful they are
They'll always catch my eye
No matter how far they are

I love animals
They are always so unique
Some have fur or scales
Some even have a snout or a beak!

I love my friends
They are always so strange
But I love them anyways
And that's something that will never change

I love my family
They are always there
I will never leave them
And always care

But, the thing I love the most
Will always be you
Because all the nice things you say
And all the great things you do!

Also! Nitpicks!

I love rainbows
They always make me smile
I love to sit down
And stare at it for a while <- them, not it, since you're talking about rainbows.

I love flowers
And how beautiful they are
They'll always catch my eye
No matter how far they are <-- I don't really like the repetition of "they are." Can you scoot "far" up later for a more varied rhyming scheme?

I love animals
They are always so unique
Some have fur or scales
Some even have a snout or a beak! <-- I would get rid of "even" here... it makes the flow better!

I love my friends
They are always so strange
But I love them anyways
And that's something that will never change <-- Maybe shorten it to "And that will never change." It'll fit the rhyming scheme better.

I love my family
They are always there
I will never leave them
And always care <-- And they always care--don't forget the subject! ;)

But, the thing I love the most
Will always be you <-- See if you make this a little longer so that the flow is better!
Because all the nice things you say <-- Because OF all the nice things you say... don't forget that of! :D
And all the great things you do!

Hope that helps! :D

Hello!

Firstly I need to blurt something out. SNIONK! How dare you change your picture, you had me very confused :)

Now to the poem. Well snoink got in all the nit-picks that I could see so I will just say that I liked it which is very true. The rhyme wasn't too forced and with the edits above your rhythm will flow really well :D I liked the subject as well, the things you love is a very personal subject but I thuought you generalised it, so that everyone could realte to it very well. Overall it was a job well done :)

Keep Writing

Heh, I love how warm and friendly this poem is! The trouble is that I thought it was a bit too soft. Don't kill me, but I definitely think this needs some more conflict, but not so much that the general atmosphere of the poem is damaged. Just throwing an idea out there, what about if you say you love things that most people don't think about? For example, instead of "I love animals", you could say "I love gibbons" and then talk about that animal? Bad example, but it would make the poem seem a little less generic, in my opinion.

That would be one fix, but I think the real issue is getting to relate to all the descriptions. They're very tame - and tame is something that love really isn't. You need to focus on ways of saying things that have never been said before, and that might include comparisons, certainly imagery or something that really challenges the reader's perception of things they already have and wins them over. Because while the flow isn't bad in this, it feels like it's too simple to really consider rhythm, if that makes sense - so be adventurous! Similes and metaphors would really link together the poem, on a basic level.

But! On what you've got here, it's got a great feeling. It could, however, be more - and don't be afraid to try different techniques! =P

Whoa. I love the happy-go-lucky feeling you've made this poem exhibit. Great job there. It's always nice to read a happy poem, in my mind.
Anyways...
As said above, I would break this into stanzas. It'd give it a cleaner, well written look.
Always remember punctuation where need ;)

I like this, but I feel like you need to expand on each thing you like. With this as a base, you can make a really meaningful story!

Take this as an example:

I love flowers

Why do you love them?
What drew you to them?
How did they affect your life?
Is there anything you can say about what these flowers did to you that could help me out in my life?

I like this poem, I just feel like it doesn't have enough meaning.

Keep writing!
