Black Jack Anyone?

Good evening, morning, or afternoon. The name is JackfSpades, but you can just call me Spade for short... and for the record no, my real name is not Jack.

I'm a 17 year old Junior in High School and am involved in my schools productions either as an actor or a musician. No I cannot sing if my life depended on it haha. When it comes to writing I enjoy poetry and short stories for the most part, but I hope to come up with a good idea for a novel one day. My favorite genre to read is fantasy, but I've been so busy that I haven't had time to read a book I like for some time. I joined this site because a friend of mine recommended it and even though he no longer comes on he said this place was a great learning experience so here I am hoping to learn some new things and make some friends.

Do you have any favorite authors? I know this seems kind of cliche, but my favorite fantasy author is Tolkien ^^. Other then that, welcome to YWS! You made an excellent choice because this is a great site full of kind and wonderful people.

So, welcome to YWS! Your friend was right, it's been a wonderful learning experience for me so far and I've made some amazing friends. Hopefully your YWS experience will be the same as mine!

I used to act a lot, until a couple of years ago, but I sort of parted ways with it. I still sing and play some instruments, though. What instrument(s) do you play?
And, on the acting front, what parts have you played? And which ones have you really enjoyed?

Well that's some welcome wagon, thank you. I'll Do my best to answer every one's questions.

MeadowLark: I do in fact write mostly fantasy, but I also enjoy writing realistic fiction. My favorite authors are Weis & Hickman who wrote some of the Dragonlance series together. My favorite animal is Schnauzer.

Elinor Brynn: Yes I have seen the movie 21. I'd give it an 8.75. Listen my favorite authors for fantasy above, but I also enjoy Gary Paulsen.

BondGirl007: I am in fact a fan of James Bond. Oh how I miss you Roger. My three favorite songs are Awake by Pillar, Going Down in Flames by 3 Doors Down, and Hero by Skillet. Island huh...A revolver, a single bullet, and a bottle of whiskey. Sausage as a topping would have to be my favorite.

Vanadis: Favorite music...any form of rock either new or old. Ex) Ranging between Rise Against to good old Bruce Springsteen.

AquaMarine: I can play the Trumpet and Euphonium rather well, and I taught myself a little Trombone. I also play the piano a little. I've been in two plays as parts, for my school musicals I'm a part of Pit. First I played a narrator in a play written and put on by a school mate/friend of mine. The second was I played the Constable in Young Frankenstein. I hate prologues. No I've never writen about a hedgehog. Stripes. Favorite childhood toy would be the wiffle ball bat. Love scrabble. Dark chocolate all the way. No it made him bigger. In life I always double down.

Red Ashes: Flint the dwarf from the Dragonlance series. He'd make a good drinking companion. History all the way. Dusk is better than the other two. 22, but on a 5 weeker not a report card...I know bad.

Stori: My birthday is September 18.
