My names Emily, I'm 16 and I live in the US. I've always enjoyed reading and writing, but began to realize it's my passion when I started highschool, thanks to my creative writing teacher :] So sad that she moved away to England :/

Well, I'm unsure of what to write, cause I suck at introductions. I'm just an awkward person in general lol. I'm actually a little misanthropotic. But only because most of the people in the area I live in are ignorant, stupid, etc. So I'm more introverted, but i do have a few close friends that I love being with, and that have my back on everything.
Actually, I'm quite friendly when you get to know me, as long as you're polite and respectful, then we're good ;D

I don't like going on talking about myself, because i feel conceited when I do, so if you would like to know anything about me, just ask :] I won't bite.

Hey Emily, welcome to YWS! :D I'm Snoink... or one of the green goblins on YWS that you can go to if you ever need help!

So... questions, eh? :D

What did you like doing (or maybe you still do it?) before YWS as some sort of hobby?

What sort of things did your teacher do that made you fall in love with writing?

Are you good at math or science? Or is that one of those things you just don't want to think about?

What sorts of things do you write?

There! That should keep you busy. :D

Howdy, a pleasure to meet you! Let's see if we can't help you be all the more introverted. In fact you'll never see anyone in the real world because you'll love spending time with all of us so much ;) I'm Heather and it's a pleasure to meet you ^^ I'll hopefully see you around the site and if you have any questions, feel free to ask,

Heather xx

-I play the saxaphone, I started band in 6th but after 7th grade i quit out, cause I hated the marching part >.> But I still play. I'm learning piano now too. Along with that I design bags/totes, and paint. And of course spend time with my friends :]

-Well, she really pushed everyone to give it their all in writing. After recieving her edits and other peer reviews, it didn't only help improve my writing, but it also allowed me to be more open...at least somewhat more, haa. She forced people to go out of their writing comfort zone, so instead of what most teenagers would write, like dark poetry, she made us try other genres, happy, comedic, etc. Working on the school's first literary magazine was fun too, made some good friends that year. Unfortunately we seperated :/

-Eh, depends. Geometry, yes. Algebra, NO. I'm in Algebra 2 Honors now, and it's just a major headache. I like science if the teacher makes it interesting. I remember I had this one teacher whose voice I could NOT stand. She never even really teached, just read out of the book the whole class, so I slept through most of that, haha. This year I have chemistry honors, and I'm pretty good at that :)

-I tend to write about romance most of the time, but I like adding some kind of dark/horror twist to it. I like unexpected approaches and endings. And I used to like writing supernatural or fantasy, but now that everyone's obsessed with Twilight, you can't even go near vampire/werewolf/supernatural creature stories >.>

Oh, and by the way, I love pigs too ;) They're so cute :]

Hi Emily welcome to YWS! I'm peanut or Sarah *gives a piggy* I like them too and I think you'll get along fine with Snoink ;). Awesome I see you play saxophone, I play clarinet but the sax is pretty cool too. Now I'm going to ask you so more questions yay.

What is your favorite smell?
What kind of music do you like?
Have you ever broken a bone?
What's your favorite color?
Twilight or Harry Potter?

PM me if you have any questions. See ya around!

EEP! Yes, we will get along well, lol. I am kind of obsessed with them. Well... not obsessed, but my room is full of pigs and everybody gets me pig things and my username like... everywhere has an oink in it and... okay, maybe I am obsessed! But still! Another pig lover on YWS is a good thing!

Although... um... I kind of want to eat bacon right now. Cannibalistic much? :P

Saxophones? Clarinet is the cool thing to do! And it's not all marching band (for sax)... jazz band, for instance! So you should probably do that, if you like it.

Your creative writing teacher sounds AWESOME. I think there are a couple of places on YWS (usergroups... PM me if you don't know where to find those!) which will push your writing skills and stuff. For instance, a staff pick on the front page is "Fantasy Fools" and that's a place where that you can be challenged into writing a multitude of things. It's really cool. :) So you should probably join those sorts of groups.

Also, if you need any help with algebra 2 (with honors!) feel free to bug me about it. And, really, calculus is where it's at. You'll appreciate it more when you get there. :)

AND. Just because you write something with vampires doesn't automatically make it Twilight. Give it deep characters and it'll be unrecognizable from Twilight. ;)

Yay!! piggy! :smt003

-Uhm, I'm not sure actually, i don't really ahve a favorite smell. i guess baby powder.lol. I have no idea why I love the smell, but I do.

-I like every stlye of music. Rock, pop, dance, techno, rap, hip hop, country, classical, everything. But most of the time I listen to the 80s (I'm obsessed with that era!), rock (like Rise Against, Kill Hannah) or soft sounding things (Nada Surf, Test your reflex)

-Nope, never broken a bone, got stung or anything :) The worst injury I've ever gotten was a sprained ankle, because I was daydreaming and forgot to pedal my bike :p

-Red,purple and black.

-Twilight. I've never really read Harry Potter, i tried but I found it incredibly boring..the moives are pretty good though :p

Hahaa, it's ok, I eat meat too. I've tried going vegetarian but that doesnt really last long >.>
And yeah, I could do jazz but my schedule is already full and I can't pick that class. I take journalism instead.
I might join a group like that. It's good to have some structured schedule for writing, because if not then it's kinda hard to get strted, especially since I have so many other things to do.
Yeah, my best friend told me that calculus is a lot easier than algebra 2, so I'm just gonna have to try to survive this year :]
True, it just seems that it would be compared to Twilight. And since there are so many other vampire series out there, like Vampire Diaries, Vampire Academy, it's not so unique anymore.

LOL! Don't worry about writing "unique" things. Write what you love, always, always, always! :D
