My name is Ashley, and I'm sort of new here. Well, actually, I'm extremely new here.

I'm 18, have been writing for most of my life, but have not been writing lately. I guess you could say I've been in a slump. I wouldn't count writing college application essays as 'writing', so.. Yeah. It's been a few years since I've produced anything halfway decent. I signed up for this place hoping to change all that.

I guess I should write a little more about myself... I am a girl. I have to sleep with two pillows, otherwise I'll be up for most of the night. My favorite televised sport is hockey. I suppose if you need/want to learn anything else about me, you can ask.

When I was writing, I usually wrote silly short stories. By silly, I mean that I look back at them and say with a chuckle, "Oh dear, why did I write that?" I would also write poetry, but it wasn't that good.

My favorite genre to write is comedy. I used to write teenage angst stories, but I grew out of that.

Haha, yay for two pillows! We are very much alike... well, at least for that. And comedy is awesome. Do you happen to write about sock puppets?
