Newbie chick

Well hellooo to whoever is reading!

I've just joined about..oh 2 minutes ago. The reason I came on is because my older sister's dream is to be a writer and she joined about 4 or 5 months ago. She's a really good writer and likes to be given good constructive critiques, which is where I come in. I like to read her work and try to help her out. Plus her and my mother love to read... Yeah, guess it kinda rubbed off on me too, recently.

I happen to love fantasy books. It's basically the only kind of books I read, with the occasional comedy. If you would like me to read and critique something (mostly fantasy), I'd be glad to help.

Aside from that, I have been working on an idea of a series that I've had for a very long time, but it is still a work in progress. Once I post something, I'd love to have some constructive criticism.

It's awesome that you decided to our zany community. It's a whole lot of fun. I'm sure your sister probably explained to you how everything works on here. But the best way to figure out how it all works is to click buttons, ask questions and observe! Oh and make friends. We're all awesome xD

For Meadow, my favourite animals are tigers, preferably siberian, but I love them all! I'm guessing by your picture your favourites are horses? Or am I totally off charts right now?

Favourite author? At the moment it's probably Michelle Rowen. I've just finished her series of bitten & smitten books. I love the main character's personnality, so kick-ass yet funny, plus some good action. But there's so many authors I've read, it's hard to pick one out of them all.

What about you? Any good author cath your eye lately?

Oh, i see you like fantasy. I am not a big fan of it but i like it due to its imagery...so spitfire, just curious, what kind of style is your writing?

Tigers are amazing animals. They're gorgeous. And you're right, horses are my favourite animal xD But I adore all the others too.

Authors? Um...none have caught my eye recently. I've just been rereading the many books on my shelves. However, Richmond P. Hobson writes some awesome non-fiction retelling of his life. I've been reading his books lately, but usually my nose is stuck in some fantasy book.

But I agree, there are plenty of good authors with awesome books. Terribly hard to choose xD

So, how are you enjoying YWS?

So far, I'm enjoying it! I like to look at other people's work, although I haven't been able to comment much since my computer seems to be going haywire I think this is a really good site, I'm glad I thought to join in!

To answer Foxfire, I'm not really sure what my type of writing is, in all honesty. It's hard to judge what I've done, which isn't that much, but it's a start...

I'll be posting some things soon, so if you want to see my writing for yourself, I'll be glad to have some comments

Haha, no Meadow, her sister hasn't explained anything to her because she joined on her own and figured it out on her own. That's my sister for you: she's independant and she likes to discover things on her own. I am very proud of her.
