Either yesterday or today, there were a group of members in the chatroom who were purposefully trying to get themselves muted through the chat's auto-mute system.
Guys, please don't do this. For one, it's just annoying and inconsiderate. There's a reason why I've never disabled the auto-mute system; no one wants to put up with someone who is saying the same exact thing over and over.
More than that though, when auto-mute kicks in, it looks like a mod is doing it. So when it happens, it makes moderators look like capricious beings.
I've taken a couple steps to deter this in the future. However, I'd like to avoid making yet another rule that asks people to merely act with common sense and respect.
