Emotions, caterpillars metamorphing,
ever so slightly always changing.
Can't help but let them fly,
and as they change let myself cry.
-
I'm never going to let it all go,
and never know it has to be so.
Holding the cocoon so tight,
listening to my insides fight.
-
A cocoon that slowly collapses.
Leaving me little butterfly corpses.
I stare silently at the remains,
struggling with my loves chains.
-
And why have I let it go this long?
Inflicting a pain so strong.
Butterfly stains on the inside,
inner most pain that I must hide.
-
But if they knew they'd cry too.
Alone. This pain I go through.
