Hey people pandacary talking! Anyway, I just joined a few days ago, so I wanted to come here to introduce myself. I found this website when my sister was on and I looked at it and made an account. So far I'm hooked and I love this site! If you want to know a little about me here it is: I'm 13 years old and I love anime (particulary Wolf's Rain), Rent the musical, horses, wolves, and reading. I take chinese and love it and I love to act. Well I hope you learned a little about me from this and I just have to say keep writing people of YWS!
I am also 13 years old and love anime. I'm Chinese and also take that language, so that's so cool! Welcome to YWS!
First off--the rules. Yes, the rules...
1) 2:1 Ratio. This is the minimum ratio YWS members can have for number of reviews to literary works. However, it is suggested to have at least 3:1. Some people have 4:1, 5:1, or even greater amounts. (Like me--9:1. But I know some people who have 29:1! Haha!)
2) Plz no cht spk OR TALKING IN ALL CAPS--RUDE AND ANNOYING, PEOPLE!! Going along with that, please have decent grammar in all posts, especially in literary works, and please--no excessive punctuation. (!?, ?!, !!, ??, etc.) Unless the situation absolutely needs it.
3) Manners, please! We're all in this together on this site--here to be helpful and encouraging, not to flame or bully others. Yes, that's right. You can get banned for being mean, I'm pretty sure...
4) And rate your works! What does this mean? Well, any topic you create--literary work or otherwise--can be rated, but only by you, the creator of the topic. So what are the rating levels? E for Everyone, 12+ or PG, 16+ or PG-13, 18+ or M for Mature, and finally R for...well, I think you get the point. Please rate accordingly--if you use words like 'idiot' in a topic, or there's some violence, might want to rate it 12+. More extreme cuss words, and/or more graphic violence/things unsuitable for younger readers to read, would be under the 16+ category. Beyond that, you get the point. I think.
And if you have some more questions, here's a place to go to look for answers: Answers to Questions Everyone Has! It's a great place to go, created by Kamas and now a stickied topic, and I must say I myself have used it more than a few times. If your question isn't answered, here's a place to ask it: Questions!
So, on to the fun stuff! What's your favorite genre to read? Favorite genre to write? Love YWS yet? Tired of answering questions? (I remember getting tired of all the questions when I introduced myself in the Welcome Mat...hehe...) Anyway, welcome to YWS! Hope you enjoy your stay! (Oh yeah...so sorry about the extremely long post! )

Hey there Panda! I'm JustDance but feel free to call me JD! Glad you're liking the site, we always love getting new members like you!
You may have noticed some people around the site are colored. Some blue, some red, some even green. Let me tell you a bit more about these colors and what their usergroup is for The blues are greeters, the people who usually greet newbies like you. Tell them the rules, and other basic information, making them feel welcomed. The purps jobs are to review, review, and review! Usually they are very good at critiques, and try to help members become better writers, and improve! Junior mods and Global mods are like their names. Usually in charge of a specific part of YWS. These guys are who you can count on for any basic questions. Admins are 'The Boss' in charge. Help run the site and know every nook and secret of it. Distinguished members are usually mods that left the site, or don't come on as much anymore.
PM me anytime for any questions or just a good chat! I'm 13 too, so we can probably relate -JD
Thanks guys! Um, my favorite genre is probably fantasy and I love to write about it too. So far, I've become obsessed with this website and I go on every day! Fruit basket (mind if I call you fruity or just fruit for short?) I hope that you and me can become friends and that I can read some of your writing too!
By the way, what is your favorite type of anime? Mine is Wolf's Rain and I'm getting the manga version for Christmas because I can't see the anime version because my mom says its too violent. But thank god for Youtube or else we would all be dead! So I'll talk to you soon! Keep writing!
I'm a fantasy lover! Though, my stories have been sort of dry! I am going to look and see if you've posted anything right now! I hope you have because I'm bored and in a contest to see who can get to 75 reviews first, so I am in desperate need! Feel free to PM me or pop up on my guestbook to say hello! ~Classy
Omg! Horses! They're like... the cutest things ever. I think I had an argument on YWS once... which one is better, horses or boys? And horses absolutely won (though the guy was rather upset about that). Oh well!
Chinese is awesome... did you know how to speak that before?
Also: welcome to YWS!

My favorite book? Probably Coraline by Neil Gaiman. It got turned into a movie, but I think both are equal. My favorite food is chicken wings and My favorite author is probably still Neil Gaiman for Coraline. So far I've written a story called "A howl in the darkness" and I'm still working out the bugs. I just started taking chinese in 6th grade and now I'm in 7th grade and still love the language. Snoink horses are better than boys because they are better behaved! Thanks for all the nice comments and see you all very soon!
"Storybooks and roleplays are just for fun!" To which I say: of course! But why only "just"? Sometimes fun is found in the full-send. Sometimes fun is found in taking it seriously, and aiming to do it with excellence! — soundofmind
