Cloudscape

I've been needing to post here for a while. What do ya'll think? All of these were taken with a Nikon D50 and the lens my dad handed down to me, which means I have no idea what lens it is.

Those pictures were fantastic. I have nothing to critque about them. Awesome job.

Howdy Texan. How do you do?

Nice shots here! The sky's pretty impressive, eh?

Remember to keep your horizons straight. In most of the pictures, your lines are off kilter. The standard camera has guidelines to balance that; See the square viewfinder? Bingo. Line up your horizons on that, and you are good to go. Additionally, a 45 degree angle sometimes works well, but lesser values such as twos or fives just come off as awkward.

But! I love the thid photo. Excellent composition with the powerlines and such; usually those things are a pain, but in this photo you actually do quite well.

Keep it up, Tex. You're not half bad.

Thanks Juniper. Yeah, I see what you mean. My camera's heavy so my hand can be unsteady, which ruins a good photo.

I like the third, too, because it's my only one with that professional angle. None of my friends get it...

I agree with Juniper. Your angles are very shaky, and that makes everything seem a little out of touch. Sometimes the photos seemed too busy, and I couldn't really tell what the focus was on. However, you are a very talented artist, and I suggest you continue. You can develop your skill.

I really like 2, 3 and 4. Though they are all really good. Makes me want to get out my camera... and wish there was something other than a gray sky to take pictures of. =P

I think they were all very pretty, but I do agree with June and Elinor. Sometimes the sky seemed tilted! So I was like, huh? That's a very interesting view of the sky you have, though! It's so pretty where you live. Now, where I live, it snows pretty much all the time...hehe.

My fav is also the 3rd one, because the sky isn't tilted, and also 'cause there's nothing blocking the view of the sky. Nothing too big, at least. In the first pic, the house really distracted me.

Anyway, great job overall, and keep posting your works! I can't wait to see more.

Wow Texan... these are so amazing! I've always been a fan of Cloudscapes, but you've made me an even bigger one, something I didn't think was even possible! I can't really offer anything more than what's already been said, but I can say that I love all of these pictures!

My favorite would have to be the first one, mainly because, other than the slight distraction of the house, it seems very calming.

Great job, really! I hope to see more from you!

These are just amazing. I mean I'm not some great photographer or anything so I can't really help you out. Plus it looks like everyone else basically got that thing about keeping your lines steady. I've always been a big fan of clouds, the sky's pretty much a magical place, huh?
Beautiful pictures, the third one is my favorite. Wonderful colors and I love the angle.

I love them all, especially the second picture.

Picture One: I like it, but the edge of the house to the left takes away a little bit. I do like the shadow it puts out though.

Picture two: Really awesome. I love the clouds and the rich colors you get to see there. <3

Picture Three: This one is nice, but the power lines don't completely fit (I still like it a lot though!).

Picture Four and Five: These are both very nice pictures, and I can't really see anything wrong with them. =D

The second picture if by far my favorite, but I like them all.
