Hi everyone, I'm Sarah, I've been writing short stories since I was 12 and poetry since about 14. I just joined a few weeks ago and I am really enjoying it so far. It is so exciting to see what people other then my friends and family think about my work.

Hi Sarah! I'm Poison/Rachael. Call me whichever you wish.
Welcome to YWS. I'm glad you're enjoying yourself. I find YWS is a very nice writing forum. Everyone on here is very kind.
Writing since you were twelve, eh? Just like me. Ever since I wrote a short story far class, I couldn't stop writing. Writing is just such a magical thing....
Anyway, enough about me. Let's talk about you. We have questions. Or, at least, I do.
What genre(s) do you write?
Short stories? Long? Novels? Paragraphs? What exactly do you write?
Favourite author(s)?
Favourite book(s)?

PM me if you need anything:). I'd be happy to chat.
"All I want is to be loved."

This quote isn't from a romance novel or a couple breaking up. It isn't about a girl desperately wanting to find love or a promiscuous boy finally breaking down. No, this is from a much sadder story. It's an eighteen year-old boy crying about his mother.

Hey there Sarah! I'm Amy, welcome to YWS!

I'm glad to hear that you're enjoying it so far, YWS is such a wonderful place.

Now, although you've been here for a few weeks I'll just remind you about the rules.

1) No cht spk OR CAPS LOCK. This also includes proper grammar, capitalization and apostrophes. You look like you've got a good handle on it, but this is definitely a rule you shouldn't break.

2) The 3:1 ratio. It's recommended that you do 3 reviews for every piece of your work. Now, although you've put up three works on YWS it doesn't look like you've done any reviews. I see that you've commented on two people's work, but remember: comments need to be 250 characters (3 lines) long to be counted in your review ratio. It's pretty easy really, just tell people what you thought and what they could improve on!
To see your ratio, go to My YWS > My Profile > User Statistics.

3) Rate your work appropriately. Members like to know what they're getting into, so remember to rate your work based on it's language, adult scenes and violence.

4) Be nice! So no flaming other members and please keep the language in your stories.

5) Have fun! But that isn't hard to do.

Now, some questions!

What do you write? What do you read? What's your favourite holiday? Do you dress up for halloween? Tea or coffee? Watched any good films lately? Chocolate or sweets? What music do you listen to? What inspires you to write the most? Are you a cat person or a dog person? D'you love or hate marmite? What is your favourite word? Do you prefer to write by hand or by typing? What can't you live without? Are you looking forward to Christmas? Tell us three interesting facts about yourself!

See you around! *high fives*

~Amy

Hi Sarah :) Wow that felt weird. I'm peanut or Sarah whichever is fine. Welcome to YWS I'm sure you're going to love it. I won't bombard you with questions because Rachael and Amy took care of that. But I'm sure you'd like to know what all the colors mean.

Black font colored people are the normal ones like you and I. We post and review and enjoy YWS.

The blue font colored people make things a little difficult because they welcome the new recruits.

Purple people are instructors they instruct by giving helpful reviews. If you go to the Will Review for Food thread there are lots of people who will review for you.

Light green and dark green font people are moderators and JMs (junior moderators) they patrol the forums and give help where it is needed.

Red colored people are the Admins they are our bosses. Nate, creator of the wonderful YWS is one of them

Orange people are delicate. They are distinguished members. Most are retired mods and they have done a lot for this site.

Hey there Sarah! Welcome to YWS!
My name is JustDance but call me JD :)
Wow, so you've been writing for quite a while now, right?
So I believe Amy here (AquaMarine) has already posted the rules for you to go over, so let's just talk, shall we?

Did you know YWS has a chat and blog system? If not you should check em' out, it's pretty cool. PM me for any questions regarding those :)

So what book is currently on your side desk right now? Where are you from? Do you speak any other languages? What is your favorite color? Are you home schooled or go to a school? What do you want to be when your grow up?

If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to PM me and ask! Or if you just wanna chat with someone, i'm always here!
