~Morgan~
I stared drowsily into the fire, letting the blaze scorch my face and half-listening to the conversations going on behind me. They were all talking about the storm. The power had gone out a few hours ago, making it an awful pain stumbling through the dark hallways until I finally found the main lobby where a large fire was casting shadows about the room.
Settling myself in an armchair, I'd withdrawn from everything and fallen into a state of half-awareness; thinking about Andy always made me act like this.
"If the storms ending, shouldn't we go look at the rest of the compound, see if there are people in any of the other sections? I know we're isolated but, we could go above now, and it might be worth trying to see if there is power elsewhere as well."
The voice protruded into my thoughts and brought me back to the present. I twisted around awkwardly in my chair and looked at the group of people behind me- if they were going to do something about our situation I was willing to help.
(oops- gotta go - will post more later)
