Yeah... once more, obsessive compulsiveness in writers is overvalued.

What do you think of this name?

Yeah... say why you don't like it.

One reason I am particularly attracted to this name is because it has Latin roots instead of biblical ones, and it means "the lame one." Considering this character is lame, I instantly thought it might be pretty good.

Also, this character is scum of the earth.

Does the name fit?

I think it may fit, but I really need more of his personality and stuff to go on.

It doesn't so anything for me. Of course, it's value as a character name has to with what character you want to name. This name might be perfect for someone. I don't think it is a very popular name right now. I wouldn't name a baby in a story taking place today Claude. The baby's grandfather, however, maybe. I like that the name has a good meaning. I have previously chosen names for characters based on their literal meaning. I think I like Claudio, for a boy, or, for a girl, Claudia better. Those would have the same root meaning. Is the character young or old? What is his ethnic background?

Claude, to me sounds a little posh. Like: "Good evening Sir Claude"

But it is a good name. I like it.

He's old. And he's really smart but rather creepy - for those who read my blog any, think Ralph. *shivers*

I think Claude could be a really good name for a villain. Sounds kind of menacing when you think of it that way. Noice.

I see French homosexual. Accompanied perhaps by a starving poodle or chiwawa <-sp?
Definately a bad name though. And fitting for a scum of the earth type guy.
Very posh indeed.
