Design YWS Banners!

Would you like to design a banner for YWS? During YWS' Fifth Birthday Bash (November 11 - 17), the Young Writers Society will be displaying banners made by users in place of the normal Holy Landscape banner.

Banner specifications:
- Must be 963px by 129px.
- Put your username somewhere on it.

For banners, you can either make your background or borrow. If the latter, make sure you get the artists' permission first. However, YWS has a license to use any of the backgrounds from:
http://www.vladstudio.com

So if you grab the background from Vlad Studio, you don't need to ask for permission since I've already taken care of that.

Once you're done, upload your banner in this thread.

Hello! Found this pic on Vlad Studio and added the writing and blended the background a bit on Photoshop. Very fun!

Looking through VladStudio, I've got some ideas, but the only image editing software I have on this laptop is MS Paint, which is ... less than amazing.

Is there any good freeware image editing software out there?

I've downloaded GimpShop, which is Gimp designed to look like Photoshop, which I have experience with. Awesomeness. =)
