Ooh, pretty! I really like the circles that the light makes in the first one.. The second one was a little blurry, and a little too common. It's those one-of-a-kind statuses of pictures that make them so great. Keep doing what you're doing, because your doing it good. Ever thought about entering your pictures into contests? You may win yourself a pretty penny ;)

Good job!

I love the depth to the second picture. The dark leaves in front of the pink blossom things just looks cool. I wish I could take pictures that pretty . . .
Good job! :D

This is your backyard! My backyard is about two feet wide. I guess that is what I get for living in the city! I think its beautiful.
I like the second picture better, just because the colors of the tree, the leaves, and the sky work so well together.

Picture #1: Stunning picture! Absolutely stunning. Honestly, if this was blown up for a wall hanging, I would buy it. If the lens flare thing wasn't there, that is. For this particular photo, it's unique. Interesting. It really brings the focus to the light-filled centre, which is clearly the most appealing part of the photo. But if you were ever trying to sell such a piece of work, definately brighten up the sun throughout the trees, rather than having such a bright blob right in the center. Of all three photos, this is by far my favorite. It's magical.

Picture #2: It's not fantastic, in my opinion anyways. It's pretty, but kind of dull and boring. Maybe try making the colors just a bit richer?

Picture #3: I like this one way better than the second, but the sun is a little blinding almost haha. I do like it's placement in the corner, and the thickness(?) of the leaves surrounding it.

Wow, you have an amazing backyard, Irish! :O

Love the lens flare on the first picture--it's really nice and sort of adds to the picture, in a way.

For the second picture, I thought it was very pretty, but not as appealing or fantastic as the first one.

And the 3rd--very good! Again, nice job with the lens flare; the autumnal colors makes me wish I could be there, instead of in this 4-degree-Fahrenheit, snowy blizzard-weather place. Yup. It's snowing here at my place! :)

My favorite was the first one. However, the 3rd one was a close second, and the 2nd picture was a distant 3rd. Still, I liked all of them, and please post some more, those were beautiful! :D (Oh yeah--cute new avatar! ;))

Hey Irish!

Photo 1 - Personally I love how you have used the suns light here, most people would probably throw away a sun flare photo like this but I quite like it. There are a few things wrong with it but mostly where the suns flare has gone a bit weird and detracts from the overall image, like the splodge of light flare that is towards the bottom right. I think if that wasn't there then the photo would be much better but there isn't much you can do about it now. I would agree with some people that the autumn colours you talk about are somewhat lost now and the focus is more on the flare and the patterns it makes rather than the tree but there is nothing wrong with it. It just means that the photo shifted from what you originally meant it to be. Just be careful not to set it up as an autumn leaves photo because that is not what is happening in this photo.

Photo 2 - I love the colours in his photo, to me they are so unusual and I like that and I also like the angle you have taken it's pretty interesting. However I have said this to many people before, you need to be careful with leaf shots or shots up through trees because it is easy just to lose the focus of your photo. There is nothing really for the viewer to focus on in this photo. It's just a mass of leaves. Perhaps if you would have just focused on that trunk and branches going up through the leaves then it would have made a more interesting photo. So just keep in mind next time that you need to have a subject to focus on, to create the photo around. Otherwise you just end up with a messy frame.

Photo 3 - It is better than the last one because it isn't just a mass of leaves this time and I like how you have sort of framed the sun with the leaves. However the tree in the background is somewhat distracting for me because it is sort of imposing but out of focus. I also think it may have been interesting to go up to a singular leaf and try and photograph the light coming through it. I do like the colours in this photograph though.

Good job with these though, I would quite like to see some more from you :)

The tools of conquest do not necessarily come with bombs and explosions and fallout. There are weapons that are simply thoughts, attitudes, prejudices; to be found only in the minds of men. For the record, prejudices can kill, and suspicions can destroy. A thoughtless, frightened search for a scapegoat has a fallout all of its own.
