My least favourite part of starting a story is finding character names. Does anyone have tips? What are your favourite names? (Especially for guys) I would very much appreciate any help you guys can give me. Thank you so much in advance!

Here's some of my favorite: Alexander, Frederick, Cameron, Augustine, Lawrence, Francis

Well, when you're writing a story, if you can't come up with a good enough name at the moment then write anything down and got back and change it when you're all finished. I, myself, tend to use Michael or Christopher a lot then go back and put in better names that fit the character.
Pick a name that sounds good for the characters personality. If you don't like someone use a name similer to theirs (You never know if they'll read it someday! ) Baby name websites are good for finding names. Some have searches where you can search meanings. But mostly I just think up my own names for my characters. Sometimes you can come up with a really cool, unique one!

Whenever I'm on the internet if I spot a good name, I copy it into a text document. That way I've got a whole list of interesting names to choose from.
I find that the name of the character isn't very important. At the beginning of the book it might seem not quite right, but once you start writing you'll find that your character and their name start to fit more and more.

Well, for me, I also find it hard to find character's names when I'm writing. But first I try to plot what their character will be like, and what their actions and words are. Based on those pieces of information, I choose a name that 'fits'.

I have been trying a new method to picking out names which has been helping. First I describe the character and find out everything about them and than I give them a name after I am done. It might sound a little weird but I feel like I get to know the character better and that can help me pick out a name that fits.

If I'm stuck with finding a name for one of my characters, I think of a person that I'm fond of that has the same characteristics as my character. If that name doesn't fit right, I just keep it the way it is with that ill-fitting name and wait until I stumble upon a more suitable name.
My favorite names for guys are -Evan -Jacob (Jake) -Colin (regularly spelled Collin) -Ray -Shawn -Eric -Christopher (Chris) -Cary (a guy version of Carrie) -Jason -Richard (Ricky)
