Brightie, newest memember, Bodlina >->

My face went pale and I looked up at the pirate girl in front of me. I slowly pulled an arrow from my quiver and notched it aiming for the girl, knowing it would probably be useless, but it was all I had. My eyes narrowed and I glared at her pulling back the string. "Your move Cuervo Scum."

Arabella, cook, Cuervo >->

Arabella weaved and jabbed, pirates falling and faltering back as she made her way for the innards of the ship. Quickly slipping through the door and throwing the lock down behind her, she made her way down a small flight of stairs, from which she heard a small noise.

She stopped at the edge of the stairs to see many cells, this was no doubt where they must have the girl. Her suspicions were proved correct when she saw Vincent, his face red and flustered, pacing in front of a cell at the very end of the hall.

"Can't believe Jarrod sent me to guard a filthy rich brat!" He spat through the bars, no doubt on the poor girl. "I'm missin' all the good stuff cuza you!" Arabella slowly climbed off the latter and toward him, her sword out in front of her.

"Well then today's your lucky, Vincent. Because I've a score to settle and a girl to claim."

Allyson - First Mate - Bodlina

She'd followed the girl as soon as she'd seen her go down the stairs, treading lightly on each one so that she didn't make a single sound.

"Well then today's your lucky, Vincent. Because I've a score to settle and a girl to claim."

Allyson stepped up, quickly and smoothly, until she was standing right behind the girl and hooked her hand round the girl's neck; pressing her sharp dagger against her throat.

"Oh really?" Allyson asked silkily, "I'm not surprised about the score, everyone seems to have some kind of grudge against Vincent. But a girl to claim? That really is interesting, you see, because we think that we have a girl to claim from your ship."
Her lilting voice wasn't very serious, deadpan almost, but had an undercurrent threat that they wouldn't be letting anything go easily. Slowly, Allyson turned the girl around so that she was facing her, the knife never leaving her neck.
"Ah, Arabella," she smiled, "how lovely."
Quickly, she grabbed Arabella's hand that held the sword and pushed it away. Arabella didn't let go of it, and Allyson tutted.
"Ok, be smart girl. You can try and stab me with this, and get your throat cut before you even twitch. I wasn't made first mate for nothing, and if you try anything it will be you who is hurt. So drop the sword, or I'll make a nice new mouth for you on your neck."
"It is curious how often you humans manage to obtain that which you do not want."

*Aqua tsk tsk so violent :lol: **

Arabella, cook, Cuervo >->

Arabella narrowed her eyes at her. Her thoughts raced, she was in a tight squeeze all right. Eventually, she lowered her eyes and dropped the sword sullenly to the floor.

Allyson smiled. "Good girl."

Arabella grunted, and quickly shot her leg out sweeping Allyon's legs out from under before she could so much as scrach Arabella's skin. As she fell Arabella snatched the knife from mid-air and threw it at Vincent, who hadn't moved. Not even bothering to look to see if her knife hit the mark she lunged for her sword and caught it in her fist flipping over to face Allyson who had just gotten back on her feet, her face furious.

Arabella tried to catch her breath as she looked at her sullenly. "I wasn't sent on this God-Forsaken task because I cook with a vicious fury."

Lulz. Shush. I realised I hadn't posted in a while, saw it was a fight scene and figured I'd make up for not posting by ... um ... being bloody. So ha. :D

Allyson - First Mate - Bodlina

"I wasn't sent on this God-Forsaken task because I cook with a vicious fury."

Allyson nodded understandingly, her eyes trained on Arabella's sword. Inwardly, she cursed herself for being off guard like that, if she'd been more careful Arabella would never have got away with that low trick.
She smiled and edged a little closer, her arms tight by her side as she considered her next move. For a second, Allyson's eyes flickered over Arabella's shoulder and she widened them slightly.
"Go, Vincent. Go!"
Arabella spun round to face the oncoming attack, but stopped dead as she saw Vincent stoic on the floor, still down after Arabella's good shot with the knife.
In a second Allyson was behind Arabella, wrenching the sword out of her hand before she had time to even flinch. Allyson drew out her other knife, and with both blades pointed at Arabella, nudged Vincent with her toe.
He stirred and Allyson curled her lip in distaste. For all his talk, Vincent really wasn't much of a fighter.
She smiled at Arabella again, but this time her eyes were darker and a little bit ominous.
"Please, please don't try to do that again. I am on my guard now, and I have two blades. I'm sure that you're a brilliant fighter, but really, the odds are stacked against you here."
She moved her hands slightly and directed Arabella until they were moving up the stairs. Allyson was forced to stay very close to her, and it looked like a twisted version of a two-step.
When they reached the main deck, Allyson shoved Arabella away and smiled slightly.
"You were pretty brave, so I'm not going to kill you for that. But go on, go help your shipmates."
Allyson backed away from her, putting Arabella's rather fine sword in one of the many scabbards she had attatched to her belt.
She needed to find another guard, and a way to stop this fight.
"It is curious how often you humans manage to obtain that which you do not want."

Haha, its ok. I liked it!

Arabella, cook, Cuervo >->

Arabella screamed with rage. That broadsword had been in her family for centuries. She had been stupid to forget that she had most likely taken Vincent down with her knife, and had fallen for Allyson's dirty trick. She thought quickly, and realized then what she had to do. It might ruin everything but she needed to try it, they needed that girl.

Arabella quickly caught a rope coming across, waited for her shipmate to clamber off and swung across. Non-intentionally taking out a Bodlina pirate by landing on the deck of her own ship. She sprinted across deck and into the ship, running full speed for the kitchen, she pounded on the door her heart racing. "Jimmy! Jimmy! Open the door! ITS ARABELLA!"

Sirena, Cuervo

My head snapped up as someone started banging on the door. "Jimmy! Jimmy! Open the door! ITS ARABELLA!" I smiled as I looked up at the man, Jimmy, frozen in place. "Well, go on!" I urged him, still smiling. "Open the door for the lady!" He glared at me before pulling me to my feet and shoving me back into my cell. He slammed the door shut, and I head foot falls and some fumbling before the door creaked open. I tried pushing the door open. If Lady Luck was with me today, I might just be able to... I kicked to door and fell as it swung open. I laughed victoriously, before grabbing the knife from the floor and running out the kitchen. I smiled at the chaos in front of me. Now this was a pirate fight.

Arabella, Cuervo >->

Arabella jetted after the girl, Jimmy following. She grabbed the girl by the arm, and forced her to face her. "I'm going to need your and Jimmy's help. I tried to get your sister on the other ship, but their first mate stopped me. I need more backup, I was able to take out Vincent, Jimmy, and I know that its going to be a bit dangerous for you over there so stop giving me that look! We need to get this girl and I need more than just my skill to do it." She urged them both toward the ropes. "I'll go before the girl, Jimmy you go after her, there are people on both boats who are looking to get her, we cannotlet that happen!"

Jimmy nodded, and Arabella swung across once more, quickly getting down and helping the girl across. She took the sash around her waist and tied it around the girls head to hide her identity. "Stay RIGHT behind me, if you don't there'll be no hope of getting your sister!" Sirena nodded, as Jimmy climbed down, his face slightly paled, and they made their way to the jails.

Sirena, Cuervo

I followed after Arabella. I didn't want to be stuck with her, but I needed to save my sister. we made our way to the jails, where three pirate's stood snarling. Arabella lunged for one, and Jimmy attacked the another. That left one more, a small boy by the looks of it. I smiled, gripping my knife tighter. The boy lunged for me, and I thrust my knife forward, dodging to the side at the same time. "C'mere!" The boy yelled in...in a voice much like my own. I stared at him, and for a second he looked up, giving my a view of his delicate features and pink lips. "You're a girl!" I shouted. "So are you!" she growled, jumping for me. Again I thrust my knife forward, and this time it hit her in the shoulder. she staggered back, a pistol flashing in her hand. she chuckled lightly. "You ain't no pirate, Missy." She laughed again, aiming for me when Jimmy came out of nowhere and thumped her on the head with a bottle. I ran to the nearest cell, peering into the darkness. Nothing. I ran to the next, and the next, looking for my twin. finally, on the fifth try, I found her. "Vailea!" I gasped, trying to reach her through the thick bars. "Nena!" She sobbed, using my childhood nickname. "Jimmy?" I asked, turning around. He was already at my side, and he got the door open easy. "Sirena!" Vailea yelped, tackling me in a hug. "Oh, Lea," I cried softly into her shoulder. "I thought I had lost you again!" She pulled back and smiled at me, just as a new wave of pirate's came down the walkway.

Jimmy, Cuervo

Arabella made for Allyson as soon as they were near the cells, yelling something about not getting beaten by a dirty trick again this time. He saw Sirena going after some cabin boy, Well, what do you know. She could be a pirate yet.

And he, fittingly, was left with a slightly shaken looking Vincent staggering towards him. His eyes flicked to the knife in the man's side. So Arabella had caught him with one of those, and now he was seeming rather unsure on his feet. Regardless, he seemed pleased to have Jimmy there. "Well, looks like Jarrod won't be able to stop me killin' you anyway." He slurred.

Jimmy drew his rapier with a smile, "I don't see any pistols on you, Vince. So I guess I've got all the advantages here." Their fight didn't last long, both the others were still going when he finished. A brief scuffle, the clash of steel against steel, and then Jimmy used his rapier to redirect one of Vincent's wild swings into the wall. The sword stuck there, and Jimmy cracked Vincent over the head with the hilt of his sword.

He shook his head, seeing him go down. "Just not your day, is it?" He started towards the cells, wanting to end this quickly, when he saw a flash of colour that could only be a pistol in the hands of Sirena's opponent. He collected a bottle as he walked by, knocking her over the head with it. That's two people I probably should've killed...well, never was one for killing.

Unlocking the cell door, Jimmy let the girls have their moment. They still had time, right?

Jarrod, Bosun, Bodlina

The bosun was a little startled to see the Cuervo's hostage hot on the heels of Jimmy and Arabella, darting towards the Bodlina's brig. That said, it made his job a lot easier. They'd come out of this with both girls and, if things went really well for the Bodlina, they'd be able to drop Calderon off at the next port - right in the hands of the navy.

He signaled to a trio of Bodlina pirates who had just finished beating their counterparts back to the Cuervo. Then, reloading his pistols, he kicked open the door to the cells.

Confronted with the sight of their enemy's cook holding her own against the first mate, and Vincent face down on the floor, Jarrod was soon raising his pistols, the other three stepping up to support him. "Right. Stand down everyone. Jimmy, ladies, get in those cells nicely, and I won't be shooting anyone."

To his surprise, Jimmy actually stepped forward, rapier in hand. There wasn't much room, maybe the man's agility wouldn't be able to get him out of the way of a bullet...

Arabella, Cuervo >->

Arabella glared at the man and stepped beside Jimmy, her newly-won-back broadsword in her hand. "I'm afraid you can't do that Jarrod. You see, we both want to get these girls together. So why do you just let us have 'em?" She saw Jarrod narrow his eyes. She shrugged and walked forward cautiously. "We all want to get out of this mess Jarrod. Out of it and alive so why don't we just-" She cut off as she instantly swung her leg upward and kicked the pistol out of his hand, lunged forward, and wrapped her arm around his head. She gripped her sword to his throat and looked at Jimmy and the girls.

"Follow me!" She led Jarrod carefully up the steps and out onto the deck. All fighting seemed to cease as they caught sight of them. "No one move and Jarrod just may live!" Arabella called out to them. "I want all Cuervo pirates across now! Starting with Jimmy, then the girls." Slowly Jimmy and the girls made their way across, as did the rest of the ship. Arabella, watched the last person land and looked to the Bodlina crew.

"Have a nice day Dogs!" She said releasing Jarrod and jumping over the side of the ship, gripping the rope swinging back to her, and swinging home, in one graceful movement.

Isabel, Cuervo,

I stare at the arrow, watching as it is pulled back. Just as the girl releases, I lunge to the side, and start for her. Suddenly, I here Arabella calling all Cuervos. I look at the girl. Then, without warning, I let a punch fly. I hit her square on the forehead. I quickly catch a line and swing over to the Cuervo, giving a merry wave to the stunned archer.

Isadaemus, Captain, Bodlina,

I scrabble up the rigging, cutting the sail lines as I go. I try to angle it into the wind, so that it won't fall on the ship. As I cut the last line, and the mainsail falls, burning, into the sea, I see the Cuervos jumping to their ship With our prisoner. Quickly, I grab a line, and slide down it, swinging. I let go, and I land behind the group of Cuervo pirates. Plunging into them before anybody can draw weapons, push them away, grab both girls' arms, and drag them back to the line. By then, Arabella and Jimmy are hot on my tail, so I draw my cutlass and press it across both of the girls' throats.

"How 'bout you two bits of scum stay back?" I drawl.

Arina - Bodlina

Isadaemus climbs up the sails and cuts the main mast.

My skirt is still on fire.

"Shoot", I mumble. I make a quick spur-of-the-moment decision and rip my skirt off, and drop it into the water below.

Isadaemus climbs back down the ropes to some commotion on deck. I follow him down, and stand behind him, not bothering to care about my missing skirt and my showing underwear.

Jimmy, Cuervo

The swoop of a body through the air, then the thud of boots against wood signaled the return of Isabel, apparently last one off the Bodlina. Or rather, the last Cuervo off the Bodlina. The light zipping noise of cloth on rope caught their attention, and everyone turned, horrified, to see Isadaemus holding his cutlass across the throats of the two girls. Arina appeared behind him moments later, albeit skirtless, having used the same rope.

Well, I guess there was a reason he managed to become a captain. Jimmy thought, then glanced to Isabel, hoping to catch her eye.

It seemed she was thinking along the same lines as him - but two steps ahead. An arrow was notched to her bow, and the string sang as she let the arrow fly. Isabel was a better shot with the bow than anyone on the ship was with a pistol, and the arrow tore through the rope Isadaemus had used to swing over.

Jimmy allowed himself a satisfied grin, though he kept a hand on the pistol in his belt, eyes flicking about to see if Isadaemus had any possible escape. "Well, I'm sure we can solve this whole problem amicably enough now." He said, "I'm sure I don't need to say this, but I will anyway. You can't get back to your boat. Which, I might add, is missing a mainsail. Not exactly the best state. Also, I'm sure you value your own life at least a little higher than those of those two girls. So why don't you turn them over? Kill them, and you die. Your position isn't exactly the best one here, Isadaemus."

Jarrod, Bosun, Bodlina

Seeing the impasse that was rapidly forming on the decks of the Cuervo, Jarrod scrambled for a vantage point. Pistols in hand, he moved to stand on the gunwale, pointing them over towards the Cuervo pirates. He could feel the ship swaying slightly beneath him, and shifted a little, rooting himself to his otherwise unstable spot.

Only two shots. He thought, Not a whole lot I can do to support the captain from this position. Still, I can try. He aimed one pistol at Jimmy, the other at Arabella. This time, if she took a single step towards him, he'd fire. Though he wasn't sure that she'd be able to jump across the widening gap between the two ships, he didn't plan on taking any chances.

"Jimmy. Arabella." He called, "I suggest you turn the captain and those girls back over to us. That sparkling logic you just spouted should be applicable to yourself, shouldn't it, Jimmy?"

Arabella, Cuervo >->

"Jimmy. Arabella.I suggest you turn the captain and those girls back over to us. That sparkling logic you just spouted should be applicable to yourself, shouldn't it, Jimmy?"

Arabella growled. She was getting real tired of this. She glanced slightly over at Jimmy, so far away on the forlorn Bodlina and smiled. It was almost too easy. She glanced at Jimmy whispered "Jimmy, when I say go, duck." He nodded solemnly. She looked up at Isabel who was the closest to the mast and jerked her head to the side. Get ready to get out of here! Isabel nodded and hurried to the ropes ready to drop them down and be caught up in the breeze.

Arabella took a deep breath and looked at Isadaemus. "Looks like we're both in a pickle hm?" He glared at her, knowing her well enough to know her tone. Quickly, Arabella screamed "Go!" And all at once Jimmy ducked, Isabel let the sails fly. gun-shots rang off and Arabella shot forward.

She quickly step-stool kicked the cutlass out of Isadaemus' hand and roundhouse kicked him in the head with the other foot. He fell back and slipped off the edge of the ship as it finally caught hold of the wind and jerked forward. The two girls scrambled forward and laughed, thanking her. Arabella nodded and smiled looking at Jimmy and Isabel to make sure they were alright.

Suddenly Sirena gasped and ponited to Arabella's side. She looked to see blood seeping through the white linen shirt. She looked at them for a moment her face a mask of pure horror and then collasped onto the deck.

Sirena, Cuervo (yay for us!)

I gasped, seeing the blood soaking Arabella's shirt. She wasn't my favorite, but at least I knew her. She collapsed and I ran to her, quickly inspecting the damage. The bullet had gone in pretty deep...I didn't know if we'd be able to get it without doing more damage. "Vailea," I said briskly, knowing she had more experience dealing with wounds. "Vailea, it's deep. Real deep. Do we get it n stitch her up? Or just rinse her out and put her back together?"
