Arabella, cook, Cuervo >->

Arabella was scrambling across the deck, trying to follow the captain's orders and, at the same time, looking for someone to guard Sirena. Jimmy was a good fighter and they were going to need him on deck and not hidden away in the bowels of the ship protecting a rambunctious rich girl. She looked around frantically, matching faces with personalities and how they fought, she would sometimes grab a man and throw him into the group she was assembling.

Suddenly, a giant bashing sound rang out and the boat jerked causing Arabella to fall onto her knees. They'd impacted and she could hear shouts coming from both boats. "Arabella," the captain screamed, "stand at the ready!" She stood up, she couldn't go get Jimmy now, it was too late. Slowly she stood at the head of her group and un-sheathed her sword and waited for the captain to give them the signal.

Silently she prayed for the safety of the girl with Jimmy at the door...and for everyone else.

Sirena, The Cuervo

I was sulking in a corner of my tiny prison, after the man took my rope away. Suddenly, there was a enormously loud crash as the boat lurched. Those damn pirates on the Bodlina- They dare attack the ship I'm on? I growl, lurching towards the door. "Um, mister?" I ask the door, and, hopefully, the man on the other side of it. My words are met with a bang on the door. Giving up on politeness I say, "Listen to me. I'm willing to fight FOR YOUR SIDE. I won't try to escape, I won't try to kill any of the Cuervo crew. Just let me out of this cramped hell-hole and let me fight!" My inspiring speech was apparently given to a mute and/or deaf pirate. "That's great. Just great!" I mutter, kicking the door half-heartedly before falling to my knees as another crash shakes the boat.

The hull of the Cuervo crashed into us, rocking all of us and bringing some down. I quickly notch an arrow and aim for the mast, we'd be able to swing across from here easiy. I look down at my captain and gave him a slight nod. He rasies his hand and looks at me.

"Steady Brightie!" He called before throwing his arm forward and screaming "Shoot!"

I released my hold on the string and watched the arrow and rope fly across the space between us and jam itself into the mast. I gripped the other side, made sure my sword was at my side, and swung across landing on the board with a thump. Several pirates rushed for me and adrenainle kicked in.

This was what it meant to be a pirate.

Isabel, Cabin Girl, Cuervo,

As the Bodlina and Cuervo collide, I light the tip of my first arrow. Before I can let it fly, the archer on the Bodlina has already sent an arrow towards us. It thuds into the mast, which nobody hears, but everyone sees. I grit my teeth. The boarding party from the Bodlina will be here soon. Before that thought can bring about worse ones, I notch my arrow again. If I have my way, we will strike them first. I release the bow string.
It seems that every eye, whether of Bodlina or Cuervo, is drawn to the flaming streak. It whistles through the air, and then hits intended target. The sails of the Bodlina are soon alight.
And remember...A portkey can be any sort of harmless object...A football...or a dolphin.

Jimmy, The Cuervo

Despite himself, Jimmy found that he felt just a little sorry for the girl in the closet behind him. She was, in some ways, a bit like him. Young, idealistic, hungry for adventure on the seas. Of course, she didn't quite have that survivalist streak of Jimmy's that had kept him alive for so long. She had no good reason to fight here, and even less to fight for the Cuervo, and yet she wanted to put her life in danger.

His orders, however, were contrary to her desires. She was to stay there, under guard, and not get dragged any further into this. And they came, in Jimmy's eyes, anyway, from a much higher authority than her. Well, at least he assumed that Arabella's order was along the same lines of what the captains would say. He could certainly see the wisdom of it.

On the other hand, he saw no reason that she should be kept in that cramped space the entire time. He sighed. In all probability, the cook was going to gut him for this...

"Look, you seem like a nice enough girl and all." He said, "But my orders are to keep you away from the fight, not put you in the thick of it." He heard the beginnings of an angry shout, and quickly finished what he was saying. "But I figure I can let you out of there. As long as you don't try to get to the fight." He stood, crossing the kitchen and bolting the door shut. That would hold her - and prospective attackers - in their places for a little. Then he unlocked the cupboard, looking down at her. "You agree to stay put?"

Jarrod, Bosun, Bodlina

Shifting his balance as the Cuervo slammed into them, Jarrod managed to remain on his feet. The collision shook both ships, the Cuervo running down one side of the Bodlina, gunwales catching against each other in places, shattering in localised explosions of wood. A cannon, coming loose from its place, went careening across the deck, collecting a pirate and sending him over the edge of the ship before it too smashed its way through the timber barrier to the ocean below.

He pulled his attention away from the shambles on the deck, and back to the Cuervo. To his horror, a single arrow arced up from their deck, soaked in pitch and burning, to sink into the mainsail, setting it ablaze. The cloth took to flame quickly, heat and light spreading out from where the arrow had hit, both bathing the deck already, though the flames hadn't reached them yet. Christ, what are they thinking?! Our ships are next to each other, and they light us on fire?

"Someone, put that out now!" He shouted, before grabbing two pirates and sending them to do the job.

Drawing a pistol, Jarrod grabbed a vacant boarding rope and swung across to the Cuervo. Their enemies might have gained the advantage, but he was going to put a stop to that.

First on his agenda, deal with the archer, wherever - whoever they were. Then, he was going to have to find their hostage. If they could get her, then that would end things immediately.

**Really sorry I haven't posted yet. Am just going to try and slot in.**

Arina, Pirate, Bodlina

I walked across the deck, dagger in hand. The thud of the Curveo comes and I am ready, I stay on the Bodlina.

The Curveo pirates launched an arrow, lit with fire. It shoots through the air, and lands in our masts.
"Shoot," I mumble.
I run across to Jarrod.
"Put that out now!", he says firmly.
"Yes sir", I reply, a light russian accent lining my words, and run off in the direction of the flames.

Why did I wear a skirt, today? As I run I regret my desicion of clothing.

The smoke is trailing in the direction of the Curveo, but I can just make out some of the pirates aboard, though I know none of them personally. I run to the edge of the Bodlina, and manage to get some water into a bucket before climbeing up the ropes to extinguish the flames.

**Hope that was ok :D**

Sirena, Cuervo

I grin up at him as he opens the door. It was the guy who grabbed me! My smile falls, replaced by an angry frown. "Sure," I say, standing up and running out of the door. I stretch my arms above my head and lean back, cracking my back in several places. "Ah," I sigh, smiling. "Now that feels better." I walk around the kitchen. Now that that cook isn't here, I can check it out. I run my hand lightly over everything I come across, but stop when I come to my "guard." I start to unsheathe his sword, but he stops me with a frown and a firm hand. I roll my eyes. "Come, now, Mr.Pirate. Lemme see! I won't hack you to bits, I promise." I vow, putting both hands over my heart. His frown just deepens. "Fine," I huff, moving on to the dog in the corner.

Arabella,cook, Cuervo >->

Arabella grinned as the fire on the Bodlina grew. However, it would not make her job easier to dodge sword jabs and charcoal hunks of mast flying toward her.

She looked at the men around her and shouted to them "Alright men! Lets board the beast and take some names!" She ran for the edge of the boat and caught one of ropes swinging across, hopped on, and took off.

She landed on the boat with a thud and immedeatly began to look for victums, and soon enough, several men jumped for her.

I whipped around to see our ship on fire. Why was our ship on fire?!

I quickly notched an arrow and looked down at the scene below me, lots of pirates. I grinned aiming for someone in the middle of the deck. Lots of arrows.

Jimmy, Cuervo

Sighing at the girl's eagerness to grab a weapon, he pulled a knife from his belt and slid it across the floor to her. "Don't go nuts. Maybe, if you behave yourself, you can get a proper sword later." He shot her a look, "But not mine."

Not all the pirates would have been that touchy about their possessions - but when it came to Jimmy, everything he actually owned had been immensely difficult to procure. He wasn't about to hand them over to just anyone, and especially not to a girl who'd sworn to gut him only a few minutes earlier.

He looked over at her again, seeing her petting Arabella's dog and making a point of not being entirely happy. "You're still ticked at me for the whole fishing you out of the water thing, huh? Well, wasn't me who cracked you over the head when you climbed out at the docks, I just had to carry you back on board."

Sirena, Cuervo

I huffed. Of course I was mad! I had been so close to escaping...and then that jerk (no matter how nice he looked in his uniform) had to drag me back on board this damned ship. I looked at the knife, than back at him. "You aren't going to let me out, are you?" I asked, already knowing the answer. "Nope," He said, crossing his arms over his chest. I sighed, and picked up the weapon. It wasn't terrible, although not nearly as amazing as his sword. I tested the weight of it's swing before walking over to the door. Outside, I could hear shouts and chaos, also known as a good fight going on. First, I tried prying the door and lock open with the blade. When that didn't work I started bashing the hilt against the big bolt, hoping maybe I could knock it off. That didn't work either, so I went back to petting the dog, the knife close at my side. I hoped I didn't miss all the action.

Arabella, cook, Cuervo >->

Arabella ducked the first mans swing, and had his legs kicked out from under him and knocking him unconcious. She quickly stood up and made for the next man blocking his blow with her sword she quickly took note of how many of her men where on the boat, at least half of them were now and in the midst of their own battles and the other half were either locked in combat across the ship or on their way across.

A roar of anger from the man she had been defended herself from brought her back from her thoughts. She pressed harder onto her blade and began to drive him backwards toward the rail of the boat. Sure enough he was backed too far and flipped over the railing with ease. Hearing him splash in the water below, Arabella grinned as she set out to look for the other hostage.

I shot off my arrows quickly, not knowing who would come after me and how long it would take for them to do so. I was pretty good with a sword but I still wanted to keep my weapon of mass descrution in use as long as I could. I saw several people fall and I had began to think that no one would come after me, until I heard the creak of a ladder and looked down to see a disgruntled Cuervo climbing toward me. Quickly, I reached for the sword at my side and, to my horror, found my scabbard empty.

Isabel, Cabin Girl, Cuervo,

I have swung across to join the violent mayhem onboard the Bodlina. I land and immediately look around for their archer. I see her, and I grin, pulling out my dagger, I move toward her. Before I get to her, someone runs into me. It's someone from the Bodlina, so I kick him hard in the face. Feeling annoyed, I continue to move towards the archer. She sees me, and grabs at her scabbard. She looks down in dismay to see that her sword is not there. I grin again. Raising my knife, I proceed towards the helpless girl. Who then raises her bow. Damn.

Isadaemus, Captain of the Bodlina,

I watch in horror as my beloved ship begins to go up in flames. I immediately start shouting orders, but by that time, the Cuervos have already begun to come aboard. I curse. I immediately grab my cutlass out of its scabbard and, with much difficulty, I make my way to the rigging. There's nothing for it: I'll have to cut the sails. A couple of Cuervos try to follow me up, but I kick out, and I feel my boot connect with one, two skulls. I laugh grimly. This fire could be the end of both ships.

Arina, Pirate, Bodlina

"Cap'n" I yell. "The flames aren't going out!". He looks up, but is drawn back to the fight due to some Curveo pirates closing in on him.

I hang in the ropes, approaching the crows nest, trying some way to extinguish the flames. I look down, the fire will get to me soon if I don't get rid of it.

"Cap'n!!!" I shout. I turn momentarily away from the flames, and before I know it, my skirt is lit with blazing fire. I look for something to put it out, but to my dismay, the water is far from the crows nest - I would die jumping.

Damn.
