Riley - powered

Michael had powers too. He was just like Riley. Riley almost couldn't contain her excitement that she had found another person like her at last. Unfortunately, Travis' voice echoed through her head again.

"Never trust anyone, Red. Everyone is out to get you."

But she couldn't believe that Michael was like that. Though he had come up to her out of anyone in the mall...and he was coincidentaly powered as well...

"Come on," Michael said as he pulled Riley faster. She had let her speed fall as she became lost in her thoughts.

"Don't trust him, Red."

I have to...

"Wait!" she yelled and stopped. They were headed out of the mall now, and in a direction she had never been before that had no possibility of a stealthy escape. "I know a better way."

Riley led Michael through the parking lot to a sewer grate that was hidden behind a trash bin. She lifted up the grate and motioned for Michael to climb inside.

Michael - Powered - Duplication

"I know a better way." Riley said, leading him off down an alley.

Alright... He thought, This is probably a better way of getting out of here... Admittedly, Michael was more than a little surprised when Riley shifted a bin out of the way, and then pulled the cover off a man hole. The stench of the sewer rose from it, and Michael looked at her. "You're serious."

"Ugh, there's not exactly a whole lot of time to argue, is there?" She replied, given him a disbelieving look. At a time like this, was he really getting squeamish?

Her words were confirmed when Michael winced in pain, one hand clutching his stomach for a few moments. A strong, but not incapacitating, buzz ran through his body. He felt like screaming, though not from the pain that had hit him, but from the mental blow that came from one of his duplicates fainting.

Straightening, he cast a look at Riley, now seeming a little breathless. "Just surprised that you'd know where this is...guess you're really not that much of an average girl." He started clambering down the ladder, making a point of breathing through his mouth. In the meantime, he recalled both of the duplicates that were in the mall. One wasn't doing any good at all, and, when faced with two hunters, he doubted the other would be very useful.

Now, things were really down to time - a matter of whether Riley could find a way back out of the sewers, and whether the hunters that had seen them would be able to track them. From what he'd seen of Riley so far, he had a niggling feeling in the back of his mind that she could get them out of here without much trouble at all, that she was in no way as her appearance suggested. Similarly, however, he had a strong feeling that the hunters would be able to track them.

Riley - powered

The sewer was even more disgusting than Riley remembered. And she had thought that the first time Travis dragged her down there was unbearable. But she had to keep going.

She stopped and squinted through the darkness at several tunnels that led off from the one they currently stood in. Which one leads to my hideout...

"Are you lost?" Michael asked.

"No, of course not," she said. "It's this way." I hope...

The two began walking down the chosen tunnel that would hopefully lead them to Riley's latest safe house. As they walked, Travis' voice came back into Riley's head. Don't take him to your hide out, Riley! You can't trust anyone!

I couldn't trust you, Travis. She answered the voice.

"So," she said to Micahel. "You've got powers too, I assume?"

The Hunter

The Hunter sighed. He watched the girl go for a moment. There was really no creativity in the youth these days, was there?

The Hunter sighed, gathered his power in him, and once again took to the falcon form. He soared above the city streets, watching for the girl. She would not be expecting an attack from above.

Sure enough, the Hunter spotted her big, furry form. Concentrating, the Hunter swooped down toward her. HE went low enough to skim her head. Spinning about in midair, he met her eyes before soaring back up into the sky for another attack.

Jacob, light/illusion, hunter

"Control over me?" Jacob dreaded to hear her answer. "What does that mean, exactly?"

But she was already leaving the alleyway. Feeling very confused and more than a little nervous, he stumbled towards where he had seen Marisol. A little orb of light floated in front of him.

"Marisol? You there?"

Michael - Powered - Duplication

Waving a hand in front of his face from time to time in a vain attempt to ward away the stench, Michael kept following Riley. And what if it's some kind of trap? Maybe this was a mistake? He frowned - more input from doubles that he'd only just called back. Just what he needed. It's either this, or the hunters. This seems safer. Besides, if she was trying to trap me, why not use a more pleasant place?

Continuing to walk, Riley glanced over her shoulder at him. "So, you've got powers too, I assume?"

Guess she missed my little show back there. "Yeah." He said, "I can make copies of myself."

"Hm?" She looked back at him again.

He sighed, it was harder to explain it with words, not that he'd ever tried before. "Like this." He said, and closed his eyes for a moment. The clone seemed to step straight out of Michael, an exact copy. "They have to come from me, but I can call them back from anywhere." He shrugged, "Anyway. What can you do?"

**Ok guys, I'm going on holiday until Sunday so I doubt I'll be able to post. There is wifi in the hotel so I'm going to attempt to get on - but I can't make promises. So, I was thinking that perhaps Izzy could get captured? I'm sure you can work out the details, but she's a terrible fighter so it won't be too difficult. That ok?**
