Misfit Circus

ANNOUNCEMENT! ANNOUNCMENT!

OK, just to clear some things up, I (Fey) started the circus around..3 years ago. How long have each of you been with us?

Alura and her sister have been with circus for 3 years

Nick was with you from the beginning.

Alura,influences people

I walk outside and look around the camp, everybody is doing there own thing. I notice that Daemyn is sitting farthest away from the camp and listening to the radio playing heavy metal. I sigh and begin to walk towards where here is. He looks up at me and grunts,"It's you" I just sat down on the grass right next to him and stare at the sky,"You like heavy metal?" He looks at me, annoyed,"No duh!"I smile. I thought some pop would be fun,"Put some pop on" His expression changes as he changes it to pop. I get up and start to dance. He just stares annoyed.

Nick, teleporter:

I sit glumly next to the burned out fire from our last meal. It seems that after Daemyn and Fee had that argument, nobody knows what to do. Usually everybody's doing something to prepare for the show. But we don't know if there will be a show. I decide to see if there's a town nearby. I mean, seriously, all I have to do is think "I want to be a mile away from here," and I am, so why bother sending out others to find a town. But Fee never lets me.

Ah, well, she can't kill me when I'm not here.

I flash out of the camp and end up right on the edge of a small town, next to a sign that says "Sunnyside."
I snort. The sky has been gray with storm clouds all day.

**My character has been with you guys for two and a half years.**

Kat

As soon as we got set up, I snuck off, not really feeling like dinner. I disguised myself as a young girl and crept off to the nearby town called "Sunnyside". Ironic when you thought of how stormy it had looked all day.

I was just about to head into the town to check it out when I heard a snort behind me. I jumped, but when I saw it was Nick, I grinned.

"What are you doing sneaking off from the tent at this hour?" I snickered, enjoying his startled expression.

"Kat? I am talking to Kat right?" he asked, looking into my face.

"Oh yeah, sorry," I said, shifting to my normal self.

"Well then I might ask you the same thing," he retorted.

*Sorry, I hope this is okay RedBird! I just needed to find a way to work Kat in there somehow.*

((WAIT! Um, can I just post my not-nice charrie?))

Name: Carmel (doesn't use her last name)

Age: 16

Power/Circus Act: This might be kind of copying something, but, her power is to speak out of other people. She can't control their emotions, nor can she really change her voice exactly to match them. Its like if the other person were the receiving end of a telephone; they're saying what she's saying. Circus Act? She doesn't really have one; she just takes tickets, and sells paraphernalia.

Appearance: She's pretty, but incredibly skinny. Her blond hair are in ringlets (not natural, either of them), and her teeth are perfectly straight and white. She has a 'cheerleader' look about her.

Personality: She doesn't care about other people's feelings. In a way, she's sociopathic. She likes to taunt what she calls 'the freaks', the ones who have a physical 'deformation'.

Weaknesses/Strengths: She's not much of a fighter, but she does look sweet, so people feel bad about hitting her. She also follows people round to find out their weaknesses, and use it against them.

Likes/Dislikes: Likes: candy (sweets), people doing what she wants, dancing. Dislikes: 'freaks', people who don't obey, and getting hurt.

Other: I don't know about you, but reading this, I really want her to die later on. Don't you?

*BTW, she's been with the circus for about two years. Zephyra's been there for two and three months.*

**Hey, is it okay if my character wanders in from the town they just were looking at. I'm not sure if he's going to be good or evil, but he's definitely borderline evil.**

Name: Markus (Doesn't tell his last name)

Age: 17

Power/Circus Act: He can control weather, rain, lightning, even wind, and since he will have just joined the circus he'll be lost at first, but his job will be to make sure all the nights are cloud free for performances.

Appearance: He has light blonde hair that's cut in a very military looking style. He has large grey eyes and sharp features. His smile is bright white and pointed, and overall he has a constant look of bitterness. He's 6'2" with a very slim, lanky build.

Personality: Markus has a very wide range of emotions. From his past experiences, he's grown bitter and dark, and burning hate is buried deep inside of him. He's polite, but very short with people, although if the right girl catches his eye he can be very charming and enrapturing.

Weaknesses/Strengths: He tends to get overwhelmed about things easily and has a tendency to overreact. He's constantly on edge, which makes him a little psycho, but he hides it well.

Likes/Dislikes: Likes: Storms, winter days, alternative music, deep talks, contolling his own destiny.
Dislikes: feeling out of control, sunshine, very hot days, preps, people who judge others

Other: Markus will most likely be on the bad side of things, but hopefully he'll fall in love with a 'good girl' to make things interesting.

Open for love: yes, and if the girl is right, he'll do anything for her

Marukus, weather:

I sit on the corner of a gas station when I see a guy appear out of thin air. He looks at the sky, then at the name of my town. The dark clouds contrast greatly against the bright yellow ,"Welcome to Sunnyside," sign. The weather brewing up above me comforts me though.

I follow the guy silently until he runs into a girl. The act as if they know each other, and then all at once, the girl's skin shift and she is someone completely new. Electricity tingled on the edges of my fingers. What if they are like me? I think.

"Hello," I say as I step out of the shadows, "I think we're alike." They're eyes widen in shock and their mouths open slightly. I smile bitterly slightly. If they do not respond soon, I think, I'll have to find more like them. I promise myself that no matter what, I will find a place to fit in.

**Viper's only been with them for six months; he was found injured by the side of the road and still hasn't told them where he came from. Sorry I didn't post more earlier. Our internet kept acting up.**

Viper, snake-man

I sat very, very still as Alura and Fee and Daemyn and Nick all yelled at each other. I hate listening to people fight, almost as much as I hate getting into fights myself.

As they dispersed, I sighed. Thank God they were done. Now maybe everyone would just relax for a while, and I could get some drawing done in peace.

It took a bit of fishing around in the boys' tent to find my sketchbook and a pencil. Everything in there was a complete mess, which didn't surprise me in the slightest. With people like Daemyn and Desmond around, you got used to messes. Hayden and Nick weren't the cleanest people around either, now that I thought about it, but it didn't really matter.

As I emerged from the tent, I spotted Daemyn and Alura hanging out nearby as they listened to music. Generally I hung out with Daemyn, but this time I turned away as a small spike of jealousy reared up in me. Girls generally avoided me. Must've had something to do with the scales, and my eyes, and the inch-and-a-half long fangs. I kept telling myself I'd get used to the way people looked at me. I never did.

Instead I walked over to Mikael. "Thinking about getting a real snake. Might help with my act. What d'you think?"

Zephyra; The Winged One

I should have been setting up the tents, but, well, I just had to feel the air on my wings, the wind in my face. I just, as usual, climbed up the nearest tree (while no one was looking) and, when the wings unfurled, leaped out. The first time I tried to fly this style, I broke a couple of ribs. But now, its the most convenient.
It was cold and cloudy up in the sky; I'd heard of how Washington was a place of almost no sun, but I always thought it was an exaggeration.
After just circling lazily above for, well, I think half an hour, I decided to land, back at camp.

Carmel; the One Who Can Talk Through Other People

"Cheese-and-rice, what's with them?" I said, under my breath after the argument. Why the heck do they have to go and scream at each other like a bunch of cats? If, for example, someone is trying to apply mascara, and gets it in their eye, it just gets more annoying.
The snake-freak was talking to Mikael. Oh well, he won't mind if I... interrupt, I thought, walking over to them.
"Hey, freak, what were you drawing?" I called over, wondering if I could grab at the sketchbook. I mean, he'd been drawing in that thing for, like, a lot of the time we were on the road, and I was naturally curious what a freak would draw.
I just don't get why we can't display them as what they are: freaks. Sure, Fee would go all whiny and say 'No, we're all performers and employees, not freaks'. Dur, the circus could make more money? Anyway, its not like they'd mind. I bet they've been treated like that for a long time.

Kat

I forced my mouth closed and narrowed my eyes, looking him up and down. "What do you mean exactly?"

He looked at me like it was obvious what he was talking about. "I saw you change. You changed into a completely different person, and I'm saying that I have powers like yours too."

"You can shapeshift?" I asked, deciding to make a game out of it.

He sighed. "No, but I can control the weather."

I tilted my head to one side and couldn't help but to giggle. This game was fun. "Prove it then."

"Why?" he asked.

Nick looked skeptical, but told him, "If you're really telling the truth, then just prove it."

"Fine," he said.

Mikael: Unbreakable skin

When the van returned all kinds of hell broke loose. As soon as Fee noticed some of them were injured Daemyn became the target of her rage. I quietly wandered away and sat down to write.
After a while Viper wandered over and sat down next to me with his little sketch book.
"I'm thinking of getting a real snake for my act. What do you think?" He asked. I was proud of how far he had come. When we had found him he wouldn't speak to anyone. Now he was someone i would forever call my friend.
"Hmm. I dunno where would you keep it? Is it really safe to have a snake slithering around in the night?"
"I guess." He looked upset.
"Maybe Fee would let you have a little non deadly one." I smiled eager to cheer him up.
"Hey freak. What are you drawing?" Carmel asked Viper trying to grab his sketch book.
"Nothing," he replied, quickly wrapping himself around his precious book.
"Come on let me see." She asked smiling sickeningly sweetly.
"Carmel. Leave him alone. If he doesn't want to show you he doesn't have to." I replied coldly.
"Oh come on Mikey. Lighten up." I sighed and stared directly at her in stoney silence.
"Fine i'll leave you two weirdo to whatever sad little things you were doing." That said she turned and wandered off.

*Mikael has been with the circus for a year. They crashed the van into him and when he just stood up and walked off they offered him a spot in the show. And white shadow what was the argument with Fey and Lurie involving something about Mikael about??*

Kili, control emotions,

I grin and skip into the girl's tent. Then I stop short because Fee and Lurie are in there as well. I can't stand those two, I swear. Fee with her, "Everyone is equal, blah blah blah," speech and Lurie with her obsessions with safety. If only I could mess with their emotions...

But I only ever get to do that for shows and it looks like we won't be having one of those for a while. I look around for Kat and Nick, since I can usually mess with them. They are not here. Hmmm, Fee won't be happy about this.
