I looked back over my should to see Mikael helping the other guys. I sighed, and held his coat tighter around me. Suddenly, a thought occurred to me. I slipped off one of my gloves and put my hand to his jacket. My skin was now a worn brown leather. I smiled, inspecting my arms. I would never get tired of my power. I slipped my glove back on and changed my skin to normal before heading off to help with girls.

"Hey Fey?" Lizzie asked, striding up to me. I noticed she was playing with dew drops on her fingertips. "Yeah?" "Oh, I was just wondering why you don't have an act?" "Lizzie," I said softly. "You know I manage the circus. Besides, what could I possibly do?" "I don't know. Like a human statue or something." "No, Lizzie. I'm going to try to get money from strangers like some street performer. We are a circus. Circuses have class, Lizzie. Remember to never forget that. We aren't street performers, we aren't fr-" "We aren't freaks," She cut in. "And we WILL not think of ourselves as anything less than performers, actors, and magicians. Yes, Fee, I know." "Then why do you bug me?" "Can I just have a hug?" She asks softly, putting her arms out. I hug her. Lizzie always knows how to make me feel better. No matter what it is, she's always there. "OK, let's go." I say, pulling away. With dismay I notice everyone has already set everything up. They are already cooking lunch. I smile at the smell of pancakes. "Come on!" I say, laughing and running towards camp.

There I lay on top of Daemyn, the wind was knocked out of me and I was trying to catch my breath. I pushed my head up to stare at him, he was just laying there staring at the sky. What could be going through that thick skull? I thought."Daemyn are you OK?". He looked at me, "Yea I'm fine and you?" I tried to get up but couldn't,"I can't get up" I blushed and turned my head the other direction. He slowly lifted his head and lifted me with him. "I think I'm going to be bruised", I whispered. He picked me up, obviously because I was to short to put my arm around him. This is awkward I thought. He stood still, If I'm right I think he was thinking, "Did you see where the other girl went?", oh yea we did have Kili or what ever her name was with is, "Um no", he was annoyed you could tell but all I could think was he's holding me.

I helped the others put up the tent, shivering horribly. I had on thermals, a sweatshirt, and a windbreaker, but it still wasn't enough to block the cold. Oh well, there wasn't much I could do about it.

Desmond and Nick were messing around with each other, and Hayden looked like he was trying to control an urge to set the tent on fire. "Don't even think about it," I hissed.

He looked up, a little startled. That's usually how people react when I decide to say something, since I don't do it so often.

I snuck a glance at Zanette before heading over to where they were making lunch. Hopefully they had some bacon or sausage with the pancakes...

The smell of pancakes hung thickly in the air. The smell drew me out of my writing and towards the mouth watering smell. I walked around the fort and found the source of the smell. Haden was holding a frying pan and flipping pancakes out to the salivating performers. I watched quietly as flames danced beneath the pan, seemingly from no where to cook our lunch. Viper was curled up close to the cooking, a grin plastered across his serpentine face.
"Careful folks i've got a hot one." Haden cried tossing a pancake out. I held out my hand and caught the sizzling hot pancake without so much as a whimper. The others cheered and laughed. I smiled, glad that everyone was happy, safe and fed. I began picking peices off my pancake and hungrily stuffing them into my mouth. I wandered over and sat next to Viper, warming my stoney skin.
"Hey Des." I smiled as he rounded the corner, a pancake in one hand and a cold coke in the other.
"Hey." He smiled, launching his pancake into the air and catching it deftly in his mouth.
"Very cool." I laughed as he bowed before back flipping away. I finished my pancake and walked off in search of Fee, eager to find out when were starting and the show and eager to take advantage of Daemyn noisey absence.
I have looked into the eye of the storm and stared it down. I am an adrenaline junky and i know no fear.

D.A.:

'OK,' I thought. 'We lost Kili.'
That was what about a fourth of my brain was saying. The other three fourths were saying 'I'm holding Alura! Oh my God, what the hell am I doing?!'

"Um, do you think you can stay here for a minute? I need to find Kili or-" The words died in my throat when I saw Old Bessie was just sitting there, a good three inches away from the tree. She didn't have any new scratches on her, either. "Oh thank God." I said, carrying Alura over to the van. "She survived." I looked inside and saw Kili sitting in the passenger seat. "Are you ok?" I asked, noticing her bloody nose. "Um, yeah. My nose just...hurts. But just a little bit."She said quicklyto cover up her pain. Her voice was muffled and she kept wiping blood from her mouth with her sleeve. "Alrighty then," I gently set Alura down in the back. "I don't give a crap about any stupid towns. I'm going back, and you two are coming with me."

Alura

The ride home was very awkward, Daemyn was driving back and he was driving very fast again I might add, but I didn't care. Kili just stared at me and smiled as she was wiping the blood from her nose. I just decided to ignore her and look forward, What would Fee say when I told her what happened?, and Lizzie would she bug me with questions to no end? Well this sucked. I would like to say that the ride home would be silent but that would be a lie. Kili had to open her mouth, " So Daemyn did you like holding Alura?" At the same time me and Daemyn yelled, "Shut Up!" Kili shut her mouth and smiled. The whole rest of the car ride was silent.

I hoped up from my seat next to Kat and Daemyn's van nearly runs us all over. He jumps out and runs around to the back where he throws open the doors and climbs in. He comes back out, Alura in his arms. She's blushing like crazy and I know she likes him. Kili comes out from the passenger side of the van, blood all over her face and arm.

"Oh my god!" I yell at Daemyn, pointing at Kili. "What did you do?!" "I didn't do anything!" He yells back. "Oh, yea right." I scoff, running and taking Alura out of his arms. I set her gently on the ground, letting her lean against me. "What. Did you. DO?!" Kili is now standing right next to me and Daemyn, smiling. "Kili, go clean up. Lizzie, come get your sister." Kili skips away and Lizzie helps Alura wobble away. I turn back to Daemyn, my eyes angry slits. "Wot?" He says innocently, walking past me towards the food. I rip off my gloves and touch the metal studs on his belt. I grab his arm and dig my feet into the ground. He can't move. "Now," I growl. "What the hell happened?"

Nick:

I sigh and look around at the camp we've just set up. The tents are worn out, threadbare and full of holes, but Fee still refuses to get new ones. All I'd have to do is walk innocently into a store, touch them and...But no, I can't do it. That would be stealing, and Fee would bite my head off if I even suggested it.

Daemyn, Alura and Kili have gotten back from their reconnaissance mission, and have obviously run into trouble. Fee's already seen the state that they're all in, and is in a state of volcanic fury. I sigh again, smile painfully at Desmond, who grins back, and will myself to be right behind Fee.

"Fee, crushing Auguste won't help," I say quietly.

She whirls around, "Don't do that, Nick! And I'm not crushing him. I'm just interrogating him."

I roll my eyes, "You could try not yelling and have a civilized conversation, or would that be below both of you?"

Kili:

I smile and draw close to the van, watching the emotions run high between Fee, Auguste and Nick. Maybe their defenses will be down and I can heighten the tension.

I work my mind over to Daemyn, and try to infiltrate his. It doesn't work. I try Fee; it doesn't work. I try Nick and...I get in! I try to push his sickeningly fair thoughts and emotions out of the way, but then he notices.

"Get out of my head, you little sneak!" he yells clutching his forehead. He glares at me, and I sneer back.

Alura

Everybody was staring at me. My sister Lizzy helped me walk to the girls tent where she sat me down and stared at me and smiled. She knew! besides Fee, my sister knew how to read me like a book and knowing her she wasn't going to drop it. I heard yelling outside, Fee was probably yelling at Daemyn for hurting me and Kili and for driving fast. I knew Daemyn wouldn't tell and I would most certainly not tell what happened with all the details but I figured Kili would tell. I got up and started to walk outside of the tent. Everybody stared, the one person in the whole circus that freaks me out the most was Viper and when he stared it made me chill. I decided to break up the yelling, I hopped to Fee and finally said,"Stop yelling"they both stopped. Fee grabbed my arm and she pulled me towards the girl tent.

"Lurie," I sigh once we are in the tent. "What?" She snaps. "Come on! He is driving me insane! I can't stand him anymore! I just...I just can't." I can feel the tears stinging my eyes. God, I hate crying. "So? You didn't like Mikael at first. Now he's practically-" "Stop it!" I yell at her. Immediatly I feel bad. Her face is emotionless and she won't look at me. "Lurie, I'm sorry. I just have too much to think about. I can't do it. There's too much to handle and I don-" My words fly from my mouth as she slaps me across the face. I'm still metal, but that hurt! I look at Alura. She is cradling her red hand against her stomach. "Shut up, Fey. You have done more than this for the past billion years!" "Actually only-" "I don't care! You CAN do this. You just feel sorry for yourself because no one ever pays attention to you." "What? That doesn't even make sense!" "Oh, please, Openalius! It SO does! You hate the fact that you have to do everything and you get no credit!" "I don't get any credit? I don't care about credit, Alura. Sure, it would be nice if the boys would say 'Thanks' every now and then, but I do everything to keep us alive. Not to get myself recognition!" She just stands there, looking at me with wide eyes. I shake the tension out of shoulders and turn back to normal. "You hurt your hand. Now let me see it." I take her hand gently, not saying a word.

I hate it when we fight.

Nick, teleporter:

Fee and Alura have just gone back to girls tent, leaving me with Daemyn and Kili. I ignore Kili and turn to Daemyn.

"Would it really be all that hard to cooperate once in a while?" I ask.

Daemyn glares back, "Get out of it, Nick, or I'll..."

"Or you'll what? Hit me? You know you can't do that. The moment that you start letting that punch fly, I will be at the other end of camp." After saying this, I teleport to Fee, even though I'm not supposed to be in the girl's tent.

**Fee*** (erm, the touchy-skin thing)

I look up from Lurie's hand, startled, as Nick clears his throat. "You shouldn't be in here." I mumble, going back to Alura's bruised and broken fingers. "Are you ok?" Nick asks, coming over to us. Neither Alura or myself answers his question. After a few minutes of awkward silence, Nick gives in. "Well, come out after a few minutes. We need to talk about the show." I nod, and he flashes out of sight. I wrap Lurie's hand and do my best to splint the fingers. "There." I say, smiling victoriously. But then again, it certaintly isn't my first time wrapping up broken digits. "I should go." Alura says, standing quickly. I notice she doesn't have her shoes on. "Lurie, what's-?" But she's already left.
