I know it ended a lonnnnggg time ago, but I think I'm still sad that it ended... It was such an awe-inspiring comic that I literally grew up with it. Calvin and Hobbes were like my best friends. hehe I just wanted a place to write about it... maybe i'll try writing a poem about it...

but who else remembers it? and if so, what was your favorite comic strip?

Oh god I do :D. I still read them, love how deeply made ya think sometimes. I read recently that Hobbes is based on a famous skeptic and Calvin a famous religious dude. Can't remember who, need to wiki it.

The raccoon baby one! I mean, it's really depressing, but it helps you wrap your mind around grief. And I think that everyone of us has had one of those moments when we were younger.

I've never read the comic myself, but my friend and her little brother are going as Calvin and Hobbes for Halloween. My friend has really crazy red hair, so she's obviously going to be the tiger. XD

they're both named after philosophers i think I know Hobbes was based off of Thomas Hobbes who naturally thought all humans were "evil" or selfish, thus giving the comic book Hobbes his belief that tigers, or any animal i guess, were superior to humans.

Calvin's a little tricky, I don't really remember why he named him after the philosopher... or maybe he was a scientist... hmmm.

I never grew up with them, but recently have gotten the book collections from the library, and I absolutely love them! It's like a cartoon version of my little brother at times.

Awww I love them! My favortie one was when Hobbes was getting cleaned and Calvin was jealous that his bath was so fun and he hates baths. Haha I always think of it when I do laundry
