The sound of rapid gunfire filled the air, and the soldier holding the gun keeled over, dead. In his place was a tall man, wearing an eyepatch and holding a machine gun. "Kid, get out here, you don't need to fight this battle!" Kara shook her head quickly.

"I have to help!" She replied. A soldier came up behind her and grabbed her around the neck. She flipped him over her shoulder in one deft movement, leaving him groaning on the ground. She didn't wait for him to get up, and electrocuted him, being careful to keep the current from spreading through the water. It was hard to do, and drained more energy than it would have if she hadn't done it, but she managed. He shuddered for a second, then went limp, steaming. Kara gasped for breath. She was getting tired. She roundhouse kicked another soldier that came within the reach of her foot, sending him sprawling to the ground. Another got her fist in his face.

The eyepatched man grabbed her arm. "I admire your bravery kid, but you need to get somewhere safe." He pulled her into one of the smaller tunnels, far enough back to not be seen. He turned and hurried back out. "Stay here." He called over his shoulder. Kara scowled, but decided against arguing.

Ash stared up at the barrels of the guns, and out of the corner of his ey he saw the soldiers' fingers begin to tighten around the trigger. With a quick morph he was gone, slithering under the water beneath the baffled soldiers' feet as a snake.

He stopped suddenly as his tongue felt the water around him, sensing a current of electricity running through it. He morphed back into his human form and watched as a girl fried some of the Friend's of Humanity's with a directed current of electricity.

Ash felt around for his gun as soldiers kept sweeping in, but cursed to himself when he remembered that he had thrown it. "Today is not my day," he whispered. And as a soldier ran at him he punched him in the face with a gorilla's fist.

Nick Fury (NPC)

Firing continually, using the other hand he pulled out a cigar, ducked down and lit it, before jumping back up and continuing the assualt. But they kept coming like an unstoppable juggernaut. Now that be handy right now.

The gun clicked twice before he pulled out two Uzi's and fired, this was a battle he was sure he would die in. But he'd take down a whole army before he fell. Nicholas Fury ain't no Mummy's boy.

Glancing round quickly he checked everyone condition, two looked dead while the others were looking ragged. They kept on coming. This was brave by even FOH standards, wiping out the morlocks take guts. Well they'll learn the hard way that it was a terribly bad idea.

Ripping a grenade out, he gritted his teeth and threw, the explosion was collasal with the methane creating a flood of fire.

But the soldiers who died were replaced as more came down.

"Where is that back up!"

"Sir, Justin claims we can manage."

"Give me the walkie talkie! Justin get your ass here now, this is war!"

A voice replied laughing, "Fury, quit joking around, you can handle an army base, this is nothing..."

"Booster get here now, otherwise the rebellion ends now... argh.... NOW!"

Fury threw the walkie talkie down smashing it.

"We stand here people, gather the morlocks. Lets show them them asshole what what!"

I sighed looked down at the pile of soldiers. Some of the others were loading the aircraft with supplies. I pulled my staff out of the dirt.

"We must go," I said.

Ella looked at me with concern. "If Fury needs help, this must be serious," she said.

"He overreacts," I said.

Then got in the ship. Ella shrugged and followed me. We got on the ship which was equipped with various weapons. I nodded these would come in handy. I pulled out my deck of cards and began to shuffle.

When we get there I'm going to boost your power Mike, once I do that I want you to extract Fury's team.

"But, aren't we going to fight, and help the morlocks," Mike said.

"If it's as bad as Fury says nothing we do will change the outcome. We get Fury out of there. That is are only mission," I said.

"Fury won't like that, he'll consider you a coward," Ella said.

"Don care, if we act out of pride and emotion we all die. Logical warfare is a must."

Ella sighed and grabbed my arm, and looked into my eyes. "Are you sure mon amour," she said.

I looked into her eyes, she was one of the few people that had any sway on me when I had made a decision. "Je suis sûr. Je ne mettrai aucun des gens de qui je me soucie dans le danger"

"Fine lets go," she said letting go of my arm.

Kara sat there for a moment, listening to the fight. Eventually she couldn't stand sitting there anymore. She stood up and came back out of the tunnel, just in time for a bullet to whiz past her head. She immediately leapt back into the fray, being careful not to let the man wearing the eyepatch see her. She fought hard and mercilessly. But all too soon she began tiring. She began gasping for breath, and her sides began to burn. But still she fought on.

Time wore on, and she was very low on energy, and beginning to run out of power. She had to work harder to conjure electricity. The Morlock's numbers were dwindling. She sported several cuts and bruises, but nothing too serious, except for a gash on her left cheek that was pouring blood. Her limbs were shaking from exhaustion. Screams of pain filled the air. She kicked and punched with such ease that it looked like a highly deadly dance. But even experience can't fight off exhaustion.

Her knuckles were bleeding freely from colliding with human flesh and bone so many times. She heard someone behind her. Before she had time to turn around something solid hit her on the head, hard. Stars erupted in her field of vision, and she collapsed face down in the water. The last thing she felt before she blacked out was all of her electrical power exploding out of her, sending at least 50,000 volts of pure unchecked electricity racing through the water.

Ash watched as the electro girl fell and blacked out. Even though it went against his loners pact, he was a big sucker for damsels in distress. He shifted to largest form, a bull elephant and whacked every Friend of Humanity soldier that came in strinking distance of his truck.

Bullets hit his body, either glancing off or only barely penetrating the thick elephant hide. Nothing short of a high powered rifle was going to stop his assault.

Powers
Sue can render herself wholly or partially invisible at will. She can also render other people or objects invisible, affecting up to forty thousand cubic feet of volume. She achieves these feats by mentally bending all wavelengths of light in the vicinity around herself or the target in question, and she somehow does this without causing any visible distortion effects; she also somehow directs enough undistorted light to her eyes to retain her full range of vision while invisible. Sue can also mentally generate a psionic field of invisible force apparently drawn from hyperspace, which she manipulates for a variety of effects. Most commonly, Sue generates near-indestructible invisible force fields around herself or other targets. She can vary the texture and tensile strength of her field to some extent, rendering it highly rigid or as soft and yielding as foam; softer variations on the field enable her to cushion impacts more gently, and are less likely to result in a psionic backlash against Sue herself (in rare cases, sufficiently powerful attacks on her psionic fields can cause her mental or physical pain).

Sue can shape her psionic force fields into invisible constructs, usually simple shapes such as barriers, columns, cones, cylinders, darts, discs, domes, platforms, rams, ramps, slides and spheres. By generating additional force behind her psionic constructs, Sue can turn them into offensive weapons, ranging from massive invisible battering rams to small projectiles such as spheres and darts. She can generate solid force constructs as small as a marble or as large as 100 feet in diameter, and her hollow projections such as domes can extend up to several miles in area. By forming one of her force fields within an object and expanding the field, Sue can cause her target to explode. She can also travel atop animated constructs such as ramps, stairs, slides, columns and stepping discs, enabling her to simulate a limited approximation of levitation or flight. She is capable of generating and manipulating multiple psionic force fields simultaneously.

Abilities
Sue has some modest experience and ability in the field of acting, and has recently taken up teaching. She is a capable unarmed combatant.

Paraphernalia
Like the rest of the FF, Sue wears a highly durable costume composed of unstable molecules that shift to accommodate the wearer's form.

Caleb Haynes

Life in the Triskelion had become very dull, very quickly. Every day, the widescreen television in the guards' quarters of his floor reported more attacks on mutants like him, more deaths on both sides of this nonsensical war. And every day, Caleb searched through those same quarters for some clue of how to switch off his power inhibitors.

He adjusted his cap, glaring down at the freshest batch of toys he'd dug up from a secret compartment at the bottom of a guard's locker. One of you had damn well better help me out.

Caleb knew to be wary around the tools of the guards - he'd inadvertently given himself a powerful electrical shock once. He picked up one of the remotes, turned it over in his hands, and then put it aside. It looked to similar to the electric shock one to use. The next one seemed far safer, but yielded no apparent result.

With the third remote, however, after pressing several random combinations of buttons, he felt a rush of power flood his body. Caleb grinned to himself - it was about time he left this place. But where to next? His mind ran over the possibilities - no one knew who he was, he could effectively go anywhere. But something about what he'd been seeing on the news from time to time had piqued his interest. These 'Friends of Humanity' who seemed to hate his kind. I will go,[i] Caleb thought to himself, fixing his cap in place on his head with a small smile, [i]Wherever I can be a nuisance to them.

Justin~

The aircraft came into view of the battle and I quickly did a analysis. Most of the morlocks were dead, and Fury's team were far too scattered. I saw a girl face down in the water being protected by another mutant. Around that are it was scorched and dead bodies floated in the water. I guessed she had overloade what ever power she had and she had evened the odds. So I calculated that they could win, but they would lose many more before that win came. So I continued with the plan.

I opened the hatch. Ella and Mike stood in front of me. I took off my gloves and touched both of them. I usually never split my power, so I wasn't ready for the intense heat that coursed through my hands.

Ell closed her eyes and took control of about eight soldiers minds. The now controlled soldiers began to shoot at their teammates. Mike clapped his hand together and a black hole appeared in the sky.

"Get them at least 12 miles from here," I said.

Mike nodded and let the black hole lower sucking up morlocks and Fury's team alike, his portal was about to reach a cornered group including Fury when a bullet hit Mike in the chest. Since I was connected with him I fell back my head spinning. Ella screamed and lost concentration letting the soldiers go. I got up in time to see a soldier pull out a missile launcher and aim it at us. He shot. I grabbed Ella and jumped out with her just as the missile rammed into the ship, blasting it to pieces. The two of us landed hard in the fray of battle.

Magneto

Much has changed with the world now. One time he'd been feared, hated even. But they knew the 'Friends of Humanity' that he had to be neuted. They'd killed Wanda and Charles. This and the continuos attacks by the vigilante lynch crews had weakened him. Charles Xavier was his worse enemy, but also his only true friend. But he'd been wrong, humans and mutants could never be together in partnership of peace. The last few years had proved it. The ability meant nothing in the end, they'd attacked with rage, destroying anyone who was different.

It was the Holocaust all over again. Magnus had lost his family there, and he faced the true evils of humans. Now it was happening again. Another Dictactor a different time, America was fooling it self in believing it was run as a democratic government.

Sighing Magneto raised slowly out of his bed. Here he was hiding like some mortal in a hospital. He was old, so very old. One time he in his life he'd killed everyone he could have after Charles was assasinated and Wanda killed. Pedro hated him, yelling at him. "I have no father..."

He couldn't blame him.

Switching on tv he went back to bed when he heard a cry on the tv.

"Hold on, that guy a mutie!"

Morph! The man had allied himself with Magneto trying his best to tear apart any plan of FOH.

The scene on the TV was utter chaos as Morph was led away from his seat and forced out his disguise his clothes ripped off and then barrel whipped continually, before they fired.

Magnetic energy flowed through the room crumbling the tv.

"Charles, this is war. I'm sorry... my friend." Magneto called force his helmet and placed his costume on.

****

Nick Fury

After that explosion the tide was turning but still was vastly outnumbered. Firing while running, he came over the crazy girl and drew her up carefully.

"You crazy girl... Oh who am I kidding that was fucking amazing."

She was unconcious.

Taking her over he ordered one of his men to protect her, "Her home been destroyed we should reward her for her bravery."

"Yes sir."

A low vibration was heard and screws began flying from everywhere accumalating in one spot.

He couldn't be alive, Nick Fury didn't have time to doubt as he saw the crimson robed figure.

Suddenly the object collected were thrown at the remaining soldiers disarming and maiming them. They eyed their surroundings in terror and turned to flee the scene.

It wasn't quick enough as pipes came flying every which way, crushing them mercilessly.

The quiet was unbearable.

Finally he fell. Magneto had just saved them, but from way it seemed, he'd done so almost killing himself.

Shifting back to his human form, Ash watched as the the elder man claid in crimson fell down after killing all the Friends of Humanity's soldiers. Ignoring the other people around him, he walked over to a dead soldier, pulled out a handgun from the corpse's holster, and stuck it in his back waisteband.

"Well," Ash said to end the silence, "that was fun."

Kara

Kara moaned. Her entire body was throbbing. "She's waking up." She heard someone say. She opened her eyes slowly. Images swam in front of her eyes, none of them making any coherent sense to her for a moment. Then the things she saw settled into their respective places.

She was lying face up on the tunnel floor, out of the water. There were people sitting within five feet of her, and one man who was watching her intently. She tried to sit up, but she couldn't find the energy. Every last bit of her electrical energy had left her. She gathered the strength to move her arm. She put her hand into her pocket and pulled out a small black box, about four inches in diamater. Kara closed her eyes and pressed a small button on one of the sides. Anybody who was looking at the box would have been startled.

The place where she pushed down began to glow, and the box shook slightly. Then a pure wave of electrical current sped down the inside of her thumb, causing it to glow a bluish-white. After a second she took her thumb off the button and replaced the box. She sat up, energized. She looked around the tunnel. Her jaw dropped at what she saw.

The tunnel was absolutely destroyed. There was several inches of water, and many Morlocks were lying dead. Huge chunks of metal were lying haphazard, some leaning on each other. there was one part of the tunnel that was smoking. She rubbed her head. "Are you all right?" She looked for the source of the voice. It was the man who had been watching her. He was holding a handgun. Kara nodded.

"I'm fine. What happened?"
This soldier had obviously been watching her. "You were fighting like a beserker. One of the Friends of Humanity hit you over the head with the handle of his gun. You fell into the water, and there was a huge explosion. Several Friends of Humanity soldiers were killed. this evened the odds enough for us to win. Nick Fury pulled you out of the water and put you in my care. Then Magneto arrived and we won. Fury is looking for Magneto. He collapsed somewhere over there." He gestured to a huge pile of twisted metal. Kara was still in pain, but she forced herslef to her feet. The soldier looked alarmed. "What are you doing?"

Kara gritted her teeth. "I'm going to see what I can do to help." She responded, before walking off.

She headed towards the pile of twisted metal, and as she got closer she saw the unmistakable red of blood surrounding the entire area. Mangled bodies were lying everywhere, and some she couldn't even recognize as human. She saw the man who wore the eyepatch slowly approaching someone in a red outfit who was lying on the ground. She saw him crouch down next to the person. She approached him, and stopped about ten feet away. "Is there something I can do to help?" She asked.

I woke up to Ella shaking me, at the same time her voice blaring in my head begging me to wake up. I got up groggily.

"Stop shaking me," I said pushing her off me.

I got up and saw a pile of metal then I saw a man garbed in a red and purple gloves. He was tired that much was obvious so I might be able to. I ran at him. He was going to pay for all he had done to the X-Men. He had started this was and because of it everyone he had ever cared about was dead. Before Magneto could react I tackled him to the ground and knocking of his helmet. I place my hands on his face and sent all my power into him. Metal begin to swirl around us. I would overload him with his own powers.

Nick Fury

This was getting bad quick, seeing Justin rush forward fury in his eyes. Nick drew his gun and just as the kid began he put the gun to his temple. "Booster stand down now!"

Booster shook his head as he continued onslaught with raging anger. Caressing the trigger Nick yelled, "I'm warning you Booster get off him now, before you join the victims of here today with essence of brain matter added to the decorator macabre scene."

"It's his fault! He doesn't deserve to live!"

"He saved our lives, for that we will do nothing. But trust me, he isn't get a home free due to this."

"Fine" Booster came off Magneto grudgingly.

Kara had tried to help when the person that was obviously Nick Fury had called 'Booster' had tackled Magneto, but when she tried to summon her power it had resulted in her almost losing consciousness again. Then Fury had taken care of it with much yelling and a gun. Booster was a little ways off, looking more than a little annoyed. She was still standing there, unsure of what she should do. Fury seemed angry, and she was slightly frightened. She was also confused as to why her power wasn't working. I'm still exhausted. I may have my power back, but electricity isn't my only source of energy. She decided.

Fury noticed her standing there. His expresssion instantly became less hostile, but he still looked frustrated and angry. "Go sit down. You need rest." He said. Kara scowled as he turned back to Magneto. She didn't want to sit down and rest. She wanted to help. Why should she have to rest when he and everyone else was walking around? She crossed her arms and looked at him stubbornly. This was going to make him angry, but she didn't care. I'm not sitting down. What makes him think that I should do what he tells me?

"No. I want to help."
