I drew this for no reason. Still, what do you think?

Ooh, fishy!

I like the colors of both the fish and the water, and the designs on the fish are pretty cool. The eye doesn't look like a fish eye, but I'm willing to chalk it up to artistic license and style.

I like the perspective too, with the way you see just enough of the top of the fish's head and back to make us believe this could be three-dimensional.

Overall, I liked it. It was definitely "pretty". :)

Ooh, very pretty. ^^ It looks kind of anime-ish, if you know what I mean? Like, it looks like a pokemon.
I agree with Ryp (Gryphon Fledgling) that the eye does not looke very fishy. Usually fish have a sort of swirly eye, or a round dot surrounded by a circle. I'd look up various types of fish and try to recreate their eyes and find a style that works for you. ^^
I like the colors and the pattern. However, I think the three-D effect that you had near the head of the fish is lost when you get to the fin. Try to draw part of the other side of the body and shade where the fin sort of shadows over it.

Overall, you can definitely tell that it's a drawing, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing, depending on what style you're going for. Personally, I like it. Good job. ^^

Beautiful!
I like the colors of both the fish and the water. I also like how the designs on the fish and how they are close to the color of the water. I know that the eye isn't really a fish eye but it still seems like it fits just right.
Keep up the good work!

Hi there.
Kamas here for a review.

Well this is very pretty! :D I like how colourful *or colorful as you Americans say*
It looks sort of Pokemon-ish because of the eyes.
I love the colour contrast. It makes the picture really pop out.
One good skill to create since you are already a good artist is your pencil strokes.
They're visible and make the colour look sort of scruffy and that you pressed on the pencil crayon like crazy.
Colour the picture using the shape of the body and natural outlines. Press harder where there would be more of a shadow or where a bone may stick out.

Hope that helps ^_^

Hey there. :P

I like the colours and design of the fish. :P I do however agree with the other reviewers that is eye doesn't really fit it though, and it's a bit big and low down for my liking. The shape of the fish is good but it would be nice to see some shading. ;) As for the water, it looks a little scribbled (though, it's hard not to get this effect when doing a plain backround with pencils.) Might I suggest a plain blue water colour wash? :P

Anyways, I liked it. Keep up the good work.

The eye gives it the look of a cartoon, yes, but seeing as the rest of the fish matches enough not to contrast, I think it's fine. There is a very good 3-D effect going there -- well done on that. But the effect is lost, not at any point on the fish (for me), but by the water. It looks solid, almost, and rather than seeming to surround the fish, it looks likes it's simply below the fish, if you see what I mean. Like the fish is on top of the water/ice. That's really the only thing that caught my eye enough to distract me from the over all picture.

I'm trying to think of what you could do to fix it... Perhaps if you got rid of the line strokes in it, or maybe if you had some of the lines over lap the fish? I really do love the different colors in the water, and hesitate in suggesting you remove the edginess in them. Not sure. Maybe next time, keep the multiple colors, but make them smooth, with no lines. Otherwise, that is one beautiful fish. Well done. :)

Hey, GPS here.

First of all, I love the fish, I really do, but I think it could use some shading. Right now it looks kinda flat. I think there might be a little bit of the other fin showing under it's body, but that's just a suggestion. The eye doesn't look quite right, but it's your drawing.

I like the colors and design on the fish. I wish I had your artistic talents!

This is pretty cool. I thought it was a pokemon animal but that was because of the eye, is it just me or does it look too ... intelligent to be a normal animal? (sorry about this, I totally over analyze little things). But that would fit in if it was in the right context so... cool! I agree with the others on two points - the water looks a little scribbled and therefore that gives it a more immature/amature look about it - watercolours maybe? And also, I think the fins need a bit more detail on the other side, surely you'd see something.
But, that said, better than I could ever do - and I'm taking art as a GCSE!

The fish is cool and the water is nice.
The eyes make it seem more human than fish though. Those manga style eyes are always cool. XD

Hey! Its a really pretty fish. But I have to agree the eye you have doesn't suit the fish. The colours are really suited and the way you have mixed colours to get the water effect I really loved that. The colour of the fish was beautiful. You have a talent. :D

I love the contrast between the bright pink and the bluish designs. It adds character to the fish. the eyes are awesome but they look more human than fish and I cannot decide if I like that. great job. I would love to see more fish or maybe try some other animals.

Hey there, Pretty Crazy [love that]

I have to agree with AquaMarine, at first glance it looked like a pokemon to me. =D
I like the little details you added on the side of the fish, it makes it more interesting
to look at. I enjoy the colors, bright colors always grab my attention.
I'm glad you added details on the fins and tail. It makes it looks more real.
Everything looks pretty good!
One thing I would differently though is instead of filling the entire paper with just different shades of blue to make the water, I'd just color the water a little off the fish.
But, that's just me!
Keep up the good work!
