Very creative title, no? Lol yeah...

So I drew this for two reasons: One, shading practice. Two, angle practice. Because everyone's tired of my typical profile views, right? Of course you are! You complain to me about it all the time! Lol. So I still think I kinda fail at it, and since this picture, actually, my attempts have been getting worse. It sucks. But I won't give up :)

I swear, the lines are much darker on the paper! And so are my initials and the date lol. The initials are the same, TJ. The date is 8/7/09.

People at school say they like the shading. I kinda do too :) I like the whole thing ^^ I is proud of myself :smt003 So, having said that, give your honest opinion, but try not to slaughter it :) Thanks!! ^^ Hope you like!

It's a really good drawing. But you need to go into more detail around the eyes and the mouth.Being the fact that wolves, are of multiple colours, you need to distinguish more dark shades. Also try adding a bit more fur around the ears.Lol and he also needs some whiskers.

Wow definitely better than I can draw. I really like the shading you've done. I think you could put a little more emphasis on the snout, because that is usually the toughest area to draw on an animal, especially one like a wolf or dog, however you did really good in the snout. I haven't seen many snouts drawn quite as well. Keep up the good work!

Hey Rayne 8) Just dropping in for a quick review.

Yay! I love the new pose. :P This wolfie is very angry looking indeed. :P The shading is subtle, and I can just about see it. It seems fine, but could be darkened in some areas. Otherwise, not much to point out. It's a pretty sweet drawing. :P

I would love to see him in colour. :P

okay..firstly...it is a nice picture

the grey background fits well with the drawing of the wolf...

the eyes: the eyes are a bit out of shaped. I can tell that it is trying to to supress emotion of anger but by doing that...i makes the eye out of shape. Not saying that it is wrong or bad but it is partly good and convey a sense of anger to the viewer.

The fur is what i like...it really gives that furry feeling to an animal and in here, it makes well to seperate the head from the neck...

above all its a good picture
John McClane: Drop it. It's the police.
Tony: You won't hurt me.
John McClane: Oh, yeah? Why not?
Tony: Because you're a policeman. There are rules for policemen.
John McClane: Yeah. That's what my captain keeps telling me

Okay, first off, WOW!
The mouth is intricately detailed and the teath are very realistic.
The only thing I noticed that was a bit off was the eyes and ears. The ears were a little furless and that makes the picture seem off. But the eyes were oddly shaped. The left eye looks like it's actually going off the head.
All togther though, gret picture!

Hello!
This picture is very well drawn. The expression on its face is amazing and the angle the wolf is facing is interesting.
The shading is also very well done and I only have to say that it could be a little darker but it's still a lovely drawing.
Great job and keep it up!

Hey, GPS here!

I have to say before I say anything else, that I absolutely love this. It's really beautiful.

The shading is great, kudos to you for that. I love the nose. That's probably my favorite part of the picture. I love how you left some of it white to show shine. The teeth and tongue are great. But, the right ear and right eye look kinda odd. the ear doesn't look right, and I'm not sure how to explain it. The right eye looks flat, and doesn't fit in with the rest of the picture.

Again, I love it!

Happy YWSing!

Thanks so much everyone! :D

I know EXACTLY what you guys are talking about with the eye and ear. It's because there's no real transition in between and they're a little too close.

And yes, as I stated in the decription, I know it's light. As I said, it's much darker on the paper lol.

Thanks again everyone!! ^^

the shading is good but you should work on your tonal-range (just shade it darker to make it stand out more from the bit that are supposed to be lighter to make it more 3- dimensional also thicken the lines around the eye, and the eyes should be more curved not pointy and just a tiny bit more shading on the teeth

I agree with your friends from school and I do indeed say that the shading is good and adds character to the wolf:). It's really nice, and I definitely know that I couldn't do that;)! I take pictures instead of draw, but ummm, anyways, I really don't see any major flaws in the picture. Nice job!

You are a very good artist, keep up the good work. I really like the eyes on the wolf, they look almost real. The shading is very good, but you could put a little more emphasis on the snout.

You are a very good artist. [: My favorite part of the whole thing is the teeth. They look very realistic. The only thing I see wrong is the left eye is misshaped. Other than that, good job, and gold star.

Hey there,

I saw the word "wolf," and had to investigate.

This isn't really the kind of drawing I do, but I like it.

The best part about it is the nose, which looks really cool, and the eyes, which are also really nice.

What I don't like is the shading everywhere else. Even though you were going for a cartoony-kind of approach, a wolf is nowhere near as smooth-looking as yours. I'd like to see some kind of fur on it, if only to lessen the box-like shape of the nose.

One eye also looks a bit smaller to me... I think if you rounded it out a little it would make the whole thing a little bit more symmetrical.

That said, I like this piece a lot and think you have talent. :)

See you around!
