Photograyph, hmm?
I don't know too much about the subject, but I can try and give you a few hints!
No offense, but these pictures are a bit blnd right now. To make them more interesting, try...

-playing with the angle. Don't only take pictures of your subject straight on. Angle can make the shot.
-make sure your subject is clear. Try not to have random things in the background. They can distract from the focus of your shot.
-play with color. While a totally blue colored shot is distracting, filtering colors or just black and white can be quite tasteful.

Hope this helps,

Hey Player,
Nice pics, I especially like the two end ones of the fire. I agree with Antigone about trying to make the pictures more eye catching. Probably you were (at the moment of taking the picture) not really thinking about anything other than what a good picture that would make. Next time you pick up the camera, let your imagination flow and get crazy!

I love the frog! He's so cute! Your dogs are also wonderful!

I don't really like the blue effect on Dean though, I don't know why, it just doesn't look right.

Although I do love the fire one, it's beautiful. In a sort of chilling way, the contrast against the darkness is fabulous!

I think my favourite are the ones of the fire. Thank you for posting!

What does these photos mean to you, first of all? They are just random things with out meaning. And you should take some pictures of things that are hard to recognize farther away because it makes it very confusing when it's closeup. The photos were okay, I'd give it a 5 out of 10.

Hmm, I like it. To the review!

Some flowers: I like this, but I think it would look better at a different angle.
Another flower: Nothing bad about this one, and I like it.
My K-bar: I like this, but it took me a minute to realize what it was. I'd say better lighting and it'd be perfect.
"presented by The Commanding general 2nd Marine Expeditionary force: I love the angle and lighting in this, but the pic is kinda small, and I can't read the words.
Abby: So cute!
Lexy: Aww!
Dewey: Again: Aww!
Dean: Why is it blue? O.o
A frog in Florida: That is really awesome.
Fire: Ooh, love this one.
Fire: This one is my favorite. It looks almost CG.

That's all I have to say! Happy YWSing!

Thanks for all the feedback guys. The ones of the knife have terrible lighting because I did them inside at night. I will take some more in a better area and post them.

Hey, player! I need to get back to reviewing, and these lovelies look like a good place to start. Just so you know, I speak my mind, and my mind is very picky. You'll get my opinion, and that's that. I may be a bit harsh because that's just the way I am.

"Some Flowers" - I actually really liked this one. It's so simple it's beautiful. The lighting is great, the background is nice and clean, it's just wonderful. What I thought could be changed for the better was the tablecloth -- it might have been better without creases, or it might have been worse, all opinion -- and the fold up chair in the background. The fold up chair doesn't add to the photo, and getting rid of it would have given us fewer objects to wander on and made us focus on those gorgeous flowers (is that lavender?).

"Another Flower" - I don't like this one as much as the last. It's great and all, with the fence and it just being a nice flower, but it's a bit overdone. Everyone who has done nature photography has at least one photo like that. Don't get me wrong, it's a nice picture, just a bit cliche.

"My K-bar" - The light isn't horrible, but the angle is pretty boring. To be honest, it looks more like a picture you would use to sell a knife on Ebay (trying to show the entire thing in one picture, simply to let a buyer know what they were getting). It might be nice with a better angle and a different floor (Wood? Grass? Concrete even? A knife isn't something one would usually pair with carpeting). And what's that thingamabopper in the upper-right-hand corner?

"presented by The Commanding general 2nd Marine Expeditionary force" - Oh ho, now we're getting somewhere. The angle is great, not too extreme but very nice. The cover (sheath? I really don't know knives) is angled beautifully, and this is a very crisp and clear photo. Again, I'd change the flooring. Other than that, this could be a real winner.

"Abby" - I honestly thought this was a stuffed sheep the first time I saw it. Then I looked closer an oh! It's a dog. A very cute dog, I might add. I don't have much to say about the dog photos (I don't talk about the cute dogs, I talk about the photos) so they'll get one or two sentences.

"Lexy" - Beautiful dog, and a nice pose.

"Dewey" - My favorite, I love how he looks just collapsed. Might have cleaned up a bit before.

"Dean" - Oh my. It's blue. Messing with colors is great, but that... is really blue. Black and white may have been fun to see this as.

"A frog in Florida" - This picture is very blurry, and the wood is a bit boring for my tastes. Maybe on a tree or something.

"Fire" - ...Holy cow. That's amazing. It is so hard to get fire to work for you in a photo, but this is just gorgeous. I really have nothing to critique.

"Fire (2)" - How on earth did you do this? It looks like a really good Photoshop job! Is it? What's burning? How did you do the background? This is just... gahdzooks this is good! The blur is great for this.

Overall, these are really, really good. You have quite the eye. I'd be amazed at what you'd produce with a better camera!

Keep it up!

The second fire picture is alchohol burning on a bathroom sink with the lights off. most of these are not pre-planned and are actually from my phone. And I agree that the K-Bar looks like im going to put it on ebay lol.

My favorite is the one on the bottom, the second one of the fire.

Ever heard of filters? Just go to options when using your camera, and select color settings. Sepia and Black and White work the best, just saying. :D

Really good!! :elephant:

I'm just going to comment on the fires. So here goes.

I loved the first 2 pics of fires. Holy WOW!

And now, the edited ones. I would avoid sepia for fire, because it doesn't make for an interesting photo. Try B/W and other variants.
I *love* the 2nd and 3rd filter photos. They look gorgeous, like some master piece of painting. I think you should seriously practice on photography witha good cam.
The 1st and 5th look blurry. The B/W one is really good too.

So finally, keep experimenting with fire. These pictures are good. :) :)
Try multiple fires, matchsticks in row, etc. Let creativity flow! :) :)

Hi (:
These are some pretty cool photos you've taken.
The forth one is my favourite, I love how the person is blurred out of focus yet the sparkler they are holding remains bright and sharp!
However, the dates on the bottom of every picture? It does not look good at all! It's a shame as it just ruins the photo.

Keep on taking pictures though (:
Good job!

Hello!

first of all, I think these pictures are quite interesting.
One of the things you might have to do is
edit them in photoshop or something to make them a bit more appealing to the viewer.
Also the images should be a bit larger so we can see them clearly.

Some flowers: I think this one would look better if you took it with the vase in the picture and maybe moving the chair out of the background.
Another flower: This one looks beautiful! I think it needs some contrast though.
My K-bar: I don't know what that is, but it's kind of dark and I can't see it very well.
Lexy: what a cute dog! I like the pose in this one.
Dean: I think this one should have been in color instead of all blue.
A frog in Florida: zoom in! and get some lighting! The frog's skin is probably shiny! =D
Fire (2): Wow, I really, really like this one! personally, my favorite!

anyways,
hope that helped a little!
