Hello, my name is Catherine and I love writing! It has been my destiny to become a writer since I was four. Yepp (: So anyway, I'll do this quickly, its 1:40AM where I live and I should probably get in bed soon. I hope I'll find posts when I wake up in the morning! I'm very sleepy, sorry I have no idea what to write now, its like I'm having writers block for an introduction. How lame... I never get writers block... because I'm always full of ideas!!! I just haven't got the gist of starting to plan it all out yet. But i'm here now!! As I always say, its always better to do it now than never! Okay... enough of that silly talk. I should get to sleep now.
Oh, and I have a question! Do you not post your writing in the forum? Because I'm really confused! I can't find the board where you post things!
I guess its bedtime for me...(:
nice meeting y'all!
Hey Catherine, I'm Aqua ! Nice to meet you. *shakes hand*
First off, there are some rules on YWS you should know about.
1. 2:1 ratio, you need to do 2 reviews to every piece of writing you submit.
2. No cht spk or CAPS LOCK. this is a writers forum after all 3. Rate your work, if it's rated it will appear on the home page of YWS. The only must-do is rating it R when it involves "rude" sturrrf or the f word.
You might have noticed some people have coloured names on here. They hold official positions here.
Blue - Greeters. They hang around the welcome forum helping out newbies and showing them the ropes.
Purple - Instructors. The best reviewers on site. If you want a really thorough review PM someone with a purple name and you'll get it.
Light Green - Junior Mods, they're responsible for moderating certain groups, such as poetry
Dark Green - Moderators. The real deal Red - Admin. They are the reason we're up and running. As we speak the new YWS is being built (the site will be down for a week)
Orange - Distinguished members. They're the retired mods.
If you want to post your work then click on writing on the black toolbar at the top. Then go on submit something. To read other peoples work click on read and review.
Ok, so boring stuff out the way! What kind of genre do you read / write? I'm guessing you write stories, but do you like sci-fi, romantic? If you were stuck on a desert island what 3 books would you bring? What are your favourite food and drink?
I used my powers of deduction (along with a cool laser ray of course) to guess that you like doctor who? Big up english television eh? *waves union jack*. I love doctor who! But I'm upset that david tennants going.
Anyway, hope you read this when you wake up. (that's wierd, it's lunch time for me!). If you need anything then feel free to PM me.
Looking forward to seeing some of your work.

I'm Mira and it's wonderful to meet you. It seems that Aqua has summed everything up pretty well. However, I'll tell you a bit about the site.
There are a lot of groups on the site that you can join. Debate Group, Character Development, Percy Jackson and the Olympians... Some will help you out in writing while others are a great place just to talk with other people about something you like.
YWS also has a chatroom where you can instant message other members and meet some new friends. ^-^
So, tell us a bit more about yourself. What genre do you write in? Who is your favorite author? Your favorite color?
Hii Aqua, Hi Mira! Thank you for being so nice to me on my first day! Hm... my preferred genre for reading would be fantasy, with included romance, adventure, teen drama but mostly, i like to read everything! my personality is kind of varied, i'm into mostly everything... crazy huh?
but for writing, my genre would be varied as well. its kind of random, the stuff i come up with (:
i would love to start posting on here, but lately i've run up with some time issues, like other commitments, etc. but i'll promise i'll put something up within the week or so!
thanks guys for being such a great help.
Man, your so lucky you don't get writers block! I've had pretty bad writers block all summer. I was going to finish one of my novels but that didn't really happen. I was at like 34,000 at the beginning of the summer and now I'm at about 37,000. How lame of me. I did think of a title though so it's not all bad.
Well. Enough about me, let's hear about you. Prepare yourself for the world's hardest questions.
What kind of music do you listen to? What's your favorite kind of berry? If you could meet one author for one hour and ask them anything you wanted to, who you would meet? If you were a piece of furniture, what would you be and why? If you were a marine biologist, what animal would you study and why?
If you have any questions or need anything, feel free to PM me!

Greetins Earthling! (since everyone else seems to have covered the "Hey Catherine, welcome to YWS"!)
I am La Reina. No, I'm no sort of legend on YWS I'm just sort of ... here.
Anyways, pleasure to meet you. Welcome, welcome! Please wipe your feet off on the welcome mat, and make yourself at home!
I like reading a bunch of stuff, too, yeah? It's good when you get the added bonus in stories. So, do you have a favourite actor or actress? Maybe a favourite movie?
Oh! And if you need help finding your way around YWS, be sure to check out The buddy system! They can help you with anything, really!
Well, that's all for now, folks!
