There is a small island in the ocean which has a forest on the western side, and steep mountains all around it. It has been uninhabited for years, but a hurricane is about to change that. A ship is caught in the hurricane and runs aground near the island.

There is more to this Island than meets the eyes, what secrets are hidden inside?

Name: Tuvstarr
Race: Troll
Features: Humanoid, with a large nose, grayish-green skin, and gray hair, with bright green eyes. Tuvstarr stands at 7ft.
Abilities: ability to shapeshift, but she can only remain in a certain form for a few hours at best. Stronger than a human being.

Tuvstarr is very shy and awkward, and sensitive about her troll form. She doesn't feel like she belongs in the violent troll culture but can't quite seem to fit in with anyone. She enjoys singing and is very kind-hearted, but her insecurities make her an easy target. She's nervous about using blunt force on things and thinks the best offense is a good defence. Or, just talking it out civily. Or just running away. She's not the bravest or the brightest, but she has a good heart and is able to empathize easily.

Name: Tri-Glade
Race: Alan (People with wings)
Features: Tri is tall and lean, with muscular physique. He has brown hair, which is light and close to blond from flying up near the sun all the time. He has the stubble of a beard that he has been trying to grow out, it hasn't been working well. He has a staff that he needs to walk with, he was hurt when he was younger and it still affects him.

Abilities: He has advanced hear, sight and can use echo-location if need be. He is a lot stronger than normal humans and can easily take on three to four. The staff he carries is enchanted so that it shoots fire, takes a minute minutes to re-charge though after one hit, and only re-charges in day time, under the sun.

Tri is silent among those not in his flock, it is because of many times when he has landed near humans, or other races, they have attacked him. This first happened when he was only three and still learning to fly, they cut off his foot, and it took three years for them to grow it back (using special magic.) Tri is also a good judge of character and can somehow tell if someone is a good person or not, and even if he does see you as good, that does not mean he will trust you.

Flaws:
Underground, if he is forced underground, or into a cave he freaks out. Just the thought of it makes him physically sick to his stomach. He only feels natural in the sky and high up, ground level makes him feel on easy sometimes

Apart from his terrible limp he is an over all bad fighter for his race. If he wanted too he could take on a few unarmed humans, but when he tries he gets a horrible feeling that makes him unable to throw a single punch. And if the person is armed, well he can't move. A sword being in his gaze makes him flash back and he actually feel all the pain in his foot that he did when it was cut off, it is a side effect of the healing.

His bones are vey light to fly, and his are extra brittle. If anything heavier than 20 pounds hits it, or if something has enough force, they can, and most likely will break. Also as of right now his right arm and both legs are broken from when he fell.

He tires easily when he runs, because he never does it. If he can not help it he is flying above and not using his feet at all.

Do to his increased hearing high pitched noises, and very loud ones hurt him. So if something similar to a fire alarm went off he would fall too his knees in pain. Also at night, or when very dark, his pupils dilate extremely, and any light causes intense head aches for him

Yes my guy is a big wimp :) far from a god.

Time to get this storybook rolling.

Alden

Alden woke to the sound of crashing waves. He opened his eyes and saw a beach and beyond it, a forest. Out in the distance, were steep mountains, which surrounded the forest on three sides. Every muscle in his body was tired and for a moment he considered just going back to sleep. Then his training kicked in. He had survived the storm and he was on a beach. He needed to find shelter, water, then food. Then he could begin searching for the others.

Sand splashed to the ground as Alden got to his feet, then shook the sand off him. He did a quick check to make sure he hadn't been injured and breathed a sigh of relief. He could still move and fly. He didn't have much energy to do either, but that would have to wait. Perhaps his run of bad luck was over.

Fifty yards up the beach, he spotted a body. Alden staggered across the sand to the body. It was dead, a human sailor that had drowned and washed up on the beach. He searched the body but found nothing but a pendant. It was a pretty piece of jewelery and for a moment Alden considered taking it. He decided against it. He had to survive and the pendant would only weigh him down.

Alden now turned to look out to sea and spotted a ship. The bow of the ship had been splintered by a large group of rocks, the ship itself was stuck between two very large rocks. It wasn't far, maybe a thousand yards. Many supplies could be intact and on board.

Alden discarded that option. He didn't know who was on board. He was in no condition to fight an enemy if they were enemies, much less an entire ship of enemies. With that, Alden moved inland, in search of shelter, water, and food.

Tuvstarr

Because all trolls had the misfortune of sinking in water, when the ship capsized, Tuvstarr turned herself into a piece of driftwood, and floated safely to shore, despite the harsh winds and current.

When she transformed back into a troll, she saw the remains of the ship and prayed for all the lost souls who were not as fortunate as her. But since she had hope that there were other survivors, she hurried (well, as fast as a troll could hurry) to the other side of the beach, where there were scattered bodes and crates about. Tuvstarr was a little squeamish about checking the bodies to see who was alive and who, well, wasn't, so she set to work collecting crates as they washed up upon the shore.

Noan

A blonde head broke the water's surface, cursing angrily. Noan swam to shore and away from the wreckage on the rocks. She looked a bit like a bedraggled magpie as she emerged, water-logged black robes hanging from her thin form like rags on a scarecrow. There was a surprisingly dry looking book tucked under her arm and a large sack of belongings slung over her back.

"Hello?" she called. "Is there anyone here?" Her dark eyes roved the treeline, finally landing on a bestial form heading inland, possibly a griffin. Curious, she hastened after it, knife drawn as a precaution.

Hesh

Something moved, blocking the sun; Hesh's eyelids fluttered. Where was he? What had happened?

Let's see, I was... I was in the Wood Queen's court, and... He groaned. That was right, he'd been on trial for rescuing those travelers in the forest from Symaniran's cruel games. The last thing he remembered was the Queen declaring him guilty and pounding her gavel. That's how the trials went; you didn't know your sentence until it had already been carried out.

Something prodded his side, and he suddenly realized how uncomfortable he was. That wasn't a good sign.

"Hey," came a low grunt.

Hesh sat bolt upright with a yell. The speaker, who turned out to be a female troll, lept back, startled. She looked almost as scared as Hesh felt.

"W-where am I?" he asked. He winced. His voice was gruffer than it usually was. What had they done to him? "Come to think of it, what am I?" He looked down at his hands, heart sinking.

How fitting. They'd made him a human.
