Caroline Zane

I rung the doorbell and waited for someone to answer. I said to Hayley that I didn't need her ride anymore, since my parents got me a car yesterday. It was an early b-day present; it was only a couple of days away. Would my friends remember? I tried not to think about it around Maggie, since she would have knowledge about it a second. I could always ask her if any of the others had thought about it, but I tried too sens what they were thinking and nothing particularly related to me came up.

Alex came to the door. "Heya Alex!" I give him a quick hug. Ella's brother was cuteeeeee.
"Hi Zane!"I flushed a bit, and then hugged both Ella and Maggie that reached us. Maggie looked at me with a thought that said 'don't evne think about it!'. I was trying not to, but still. She knew everything that was going through my mind.

"So, what's up, gals?" I asked as soon as we reached the living room.

Eloise

"Zane!" She cried happily, squezzing her. Their mothers were best freinds...it was only natural that they were too.

"Hey Ella," she smiled.

"Now we can really get this party going!" Eloise laughed, twirling into Alex.

"Excuse me, Ella, but you won't be partying too hard. You've got an English project," Alex replied. He was sometimes too overprotecive in her opinon. "And don't you think your clothes are a little...revealing?"

She cocked and eyebrow and stuck out her tounge. "It's a pair of shorts and a tank top, Alex. I could be wearing less."

Zane giggled a little and Ella blushed. She hadn't meant THAT.

"So Zane?" She asked, mostly to change the subject. "What do you want for your birthday?"

Alex Eisenstein

I pulled into the parking lot, my old mustang thrumming steadily.
"Alex!" I turned toward the source of the sound. My younger sister Eloise smiling happily.
"Hey Ella," i smiled. "You ready?"
"Yeah can you take Maggie? We've got a project for english this weekend."
"Sure." I had to double pump the rusty door catch before it sqealed open. A few moments later i heard the familiar sound of Ella's partner in crime.
"I'm ready" squealed a delighted Maggie. As soon as they were safely strapped in i rolled out of the carpark, kerrang blasting from the stereo. Fifteen minutes and a few red lights later we were home.

I leant in the doorway of Ella's room as Maggie spilled out a tirade of girly mush. After a while my sister began badgering me for the time. A few minutes later Maggie was up and at the door inviting the others in.
Not long after the first wave of friends the doorbell went off again. I wandered into the house from the garage, covered in oil and smelling of engine fluid. True machoism incarnate. I opened the door to Carolines smiling face.
"Heya Alex" she smiled giving me a quick hug.
"Hi Zane" i replied a little startled. She hugged Ella and Maggie and i saw a unspoken word pass between them.
"Zane! Now we can get this party going!" Squealed Ellie happily.
"Excuse me, Ella, but you won't be partying too hard. You've got an English project andon't you think your clothes are a little...revealing?"

Zane giggled a little and Ella blushed.
"So Zane?" She asked, mostly to change the subject. "What do you want for your birthday?"
"Yeah, if you want i could do a job on your shiny new car?" I asked hoping she would say yes just for the excuse to hang out with her for days.

Caroline Zane

"Awww, you guys remembered!" I jumped, and clapped my hands. The sweetest smile was laid on both siblings lips, and my heart melted to my stomach. "That would be awesome, Alex." I winked my eye, and turned to Ella, afraid to face him again. His thoughts were a bit messy at the moment, I couldn't get anything particular.

I remembered of those shiny black, beautiful boots in the mall, giving Maggie a small hint. She winked at me, getting the picture of them. I smiled and Ella enquired, "What?"

"Maggie already knows what to give me."

"Aww, what about me? Will you leave me in the dark?" I tried to picture that grey jacket I saw and smiled again at Maggie.

"I'll tell you later," Maggie said to Ella.

"So, Ella, where the heck is everyone else?"

Eloise

"No idea. They should be here though," she sighed. "Mom and dad went out yesterday. They won't be back till Monday, (It's Friday) right Alex?"

Her brother nodded. "In the mean time, we'd better get some food. I'm starving."

Ella rolled her eyes. "Your always hungry," she retorted.

"How about pizza?" She asked. Zane groaned and Maggie sighed.

"Fine, no pizza," Ella laughed. "Tacos?"

The others had a better reaction to this so she grabbed Alex's keys. "Can I go get them?" She begged. "Please! Then I can pick up the others as well!"

"Ella," he groaned.

"Please?" She begged again.

Alex Eisenstein

"That would be awesome Alex," Caroline winked at me. After that i wasn't paying much attention. My head was filled with lug nuts, chassis, fuel injection and months of excuses to be around Zane. Hopefully all the jumps between thoughts were keeping them safe in my own head.
"So Ella where the heck is everyone else?" Came my fathers familiar voice from the doorway.
"Dad you didn't tell me you were gonna be home so soon."
"Its alright your mother and i are just grabbing somethings before we head out."
To this day he still had his shaggy hair and goatee although they were now tinged with grey. His eyes were always covered by shades since his journey to another realm. Ever since that mysterious time his eyes had become tainted with red and he now source everything as sources of power.
"Hey Daddy" smiled Eloise sweetly.
"Hey Angel" smiled Mikael happily. A few moments later my mothers arm snaked around the door and pulled my father away.
"Eew come on. Get a room or something." I laughed from the other room.
"But seriously someone should call the others." Said Maggie bluntly.

**Could someone bring my people in? They'd probably be together, or arguing...**

Eloise

Ella rolled her eyes at her brother. "They will be here soon enough, I suppose," she replied. "I guess I can call Laurel and Brennan." Ella had had a crush on Brennan since she had met him. He was completely oblivious, of course.

The doorbell rang and Ella dashed downstairs again to get it. Her mother was already there, about to leave.

"Hey honey," she smiled. "Laurel and Brennan just made it."

"Alright. Have fun on your trip!" She called as they left. Ella turned to her guests.

"Hey Laurel!" She smiled, hugging her. She hugged Brennan next and Alex coughed from the doorway.

"Oh get a grip," she blushed. Alex was always so protective of her. Sometimes it was nice but at times like this...well, it wasn't so nice.

Laurel~

Laurel smiled cheekily at Ella as Brennan gave Alex one of those man hugs. The one where the guys grab hands and pull towards each other to pat the other on the back. Yeah, one of those. Laurel rolled her eyes at the guys with a smile, hugging Ella again just for the heck of it before following her into the living room. "Maggie! Zane!" She smiled brightly, hugging both of the girls giddily.

"Lord, what did you do to your hair? It's like gone?!" Zane laughed loudly, causing Laurel to pout and cross her arms. "Is this why you weren't at school?" Laurel's pout grew bigger and she nodded.

"Yes! My mom forced me to get all my hair cut and all my pink dye taken out." Laurel smiled crookedly. "I actually like it though. It's not all that bad." She grinned, running a hand through her much shorter hair.

"It looks more natural this way," Maggie commented, smiling. Laurel said a happy thanks before plopping down on the leather chair in the living room. "Oh! Did you hear about James and Kelly?" Maggie smiled brightly.

"No, what about them?" Laurel leaned forwards, anxious for a little bit of gossip. Her blue eyes shifted to the clock quickly, reading the time five-thirty. "Oh crap, I've got to call my mom real quick and tell her we made it," she reached for her pocket, soon discovering she left her phone in the car. "I'll be right back," she grinned crookedly before running out the door and across the street to where her brother's corvette was parked. She leaned over the door, grabbing her iPhone out of the floor board. As she came back up she noticed a guy waving to some people down the street a ways, dropping his bag from the store. Grinning, Laurel jogged over and picked it up, handing it to him.

"Thanks," he smiled rather shyly.

"No problem, " Laurel smiled. "You just moved here didn't you?" He nodded. "Cool, I'm Laurel." She smiled.

"Shaun," the guy was still smiling shyly as he and Laurel shook hands.

*sorry if this wasn't the kind of meeting you were hoping for with Shaun Emma, I just felt the need to bring him in*

Brennan~

Brennan sighed and dropped into the chair his sister had recently been sitting in after giving Maggie and Zane small hugs. "So, how've you ladies been?" He smiled cheekily.

*short, sorry!*

Hayley pulled up infront of the house.

"Sorry we're late," Maria said as she entered. "Hayley got distracted by something, I think."

"Hey, I got distracted. Give me a break."

Maria shrugged.

((sorry it's so short. The only purpose of this post is to get my character back into things.))

Eloise

"Not bad," she shrugged at Brennan's question.

"Doing alright," Maggie smiled. "How have you been doing?"

"Not too bad," he replied.

Laurel came in the room next with a guy next to her. Ella raised an eyebrow and winked at her. Laurel stuck her tongue out which made Ella laugh.

"This is Shaun, guys," she introduced him. "I invited him over. He's new."

"Hi Shaun!" Zane smiled.

"Hey," I grinned. "Glad you could come. Too bad you probably won't make it out of here alive." She was joking of course but Shaun's eyebrows knit together.

"Kidding," she laughed. "I'm Ella."

The rest introduced themselves and continued to laugh. Ella stopped, though. Something felt...defferent. She was sure she was only paranoid but...it felt oddly familar.

Ella ignored it and joined the others.

**Okay for the older characters, the change into the new world will be different. The mirror that transports them with actualy come to them. It dosen't have to happen now, but it will happen soon. Just wanted to clear that up.**

Alex Eisenstein

Laurel brought a guy in and introduced him as Shaun. I gave him a cursory glance and decided i had no qualms with him being in the house. Then Ella introduced herself with a joke and a whimsical smile. Instantly the protective brother in me reared up. I steeped between Ella and Shaun and drew myself up to my full height.
"I'm Alex. Ella's older brother." I said coldly staring at down at him. I think i heard some one snigger behind me when Ella whispered something about my being overbearing.
