I'm trying to hunt down this book for a long time. It sounds really goo, people rate it really high, and I really really really really really want to read it.
Has anyone read it? What do you think, from a critical writer's point of view?
There was some unnecassary cursing that got a little bit annoying after a while. Cursing doesn't bother me, but when it's that often for no characteristic or plot reasons...gets on my nerves.
And two scenes that were like LOOK AWAY!!! '>.> that were quite unnecassary also. He did a poor job of introducing D's parasite. And there were paragraphs here and there that were cheesy or choppy or awkward, but it was a translated text, and from Japanese nonetheless, so that was hard to judge.
But I still enjoyed it. The characters were awesome, particularly D....he's the coolest vampire ever...Well techincally he's not a vampire, but still. He's pretty sick. lol
Does anyone else have any thoughts? or has no one even heard of it? XD
yeah ive read one. CAnt remember though. It was the one with teh girl who was bitten by the count and he was supposed to protect here. Then these other bounty hunters come and try and take her or something. I remember there was a wherewolf working for the vampire.
oh and there was the little *graphic* scene in the beginning with the whip fight.
that sounds really wrong...
Words - so innocent and powerless as they are, as standing in a dictionary, how potent for good and evil they become in the hands of one who knows how to combine them. ~Nathaniel Hawthorne
lol the beginning with the whip fight was pretty....awkward. that kind of thing happens like three times, and there's really no reason for it. But, at least I didin't read the text book and not the graphic novel.... '>.> look away!
