Disguise

"I was, but you weren't about to give me the chance." She replied. "Plus, I think it was her doing, and I'm kinda hoping it happens again. I didn't want to jinx it."

"You talked to Holly and didn't tell me!" He growled.

"Heck, you were there. YOu just couldn't see or hear me. The day before she died, all those times she she got thirsty, she just wanted to talk." She shrugged. "I'm the one that should be freaked out over all this. I mean come on, I'm the huma....one that thought she was human."

Dante's shoulder blades bunched up and he felt so tense. He glared at Ezra.

"What do you want?" he repeated.

"Well, to remind you not to get to attached, she won't last long." Ezra shrugged. "Petty little witch, you can't do anything."

"Leave." Dante growled. "Leave now."

"I am. Just remember, don't get attached again." With that Ezra dissappeared otu the door.

"I was going to tell you." Dawn said looking at Dante as she wrapped her arms around her waist. "I wasn't sure if it was a dream or real. But after talking to you afterwards, i knew it was real. I just didn't know how to tell you without upsetting you."

Dante's rolled his shoulders. "How the hell do you think I feel now? Don't ever just ignore something like that. I can control my emotions."

He could see that she fought a smile.

"What?" he growled.

She snorted. "Ya you're a great emotion-controller."

"What the hell is that suppost to mean?" he yelled.

"Exactly." she pointed out.

He realized he couldn't control them... Fuck

"When you feel an emotion, you let it out. Whether it's anger, hatered, horniness, or whatever." She shrugged. "I've yet to see you really happy. I've seen you sad, but not happy."

"I can control them when I have to." HE growled.

"No you can't. If you could you would've acted like you knew I had talked to Holly when I told Ezra. But I got more of a reaction from you then I did her. I made sure to tell her it was Holly's doing because it was, but also because she needs to continue to think that I"m weak, extremely weak. At the moment, I am. But I have to get stronger, and she can't know it."

**I'll post tomorrow on this one. I can only keep up with one character at a time. I have to get off in like 20 mins.**

Dante glared at her still, he wasn't mad he just wished that she had started taking this witch thing much more seriously.

"Look, the least you could do is put a spell on the house so those who tend to harm you cannot enter." he put on hand on a hip the other he ran through his hair. "Your like a kitten-"

"Oh great example." she rolled her eyes.

"Ha, shut up." he glared. "Your a beginner at this whole magic shit. People could take advantage ofyou if they knew." he impatiently put his hand on her shoulder. "The whole world would tie you up and beat you to death if they knew the truth. Understand rubberband?" he growled.

"Ya, sure. But what I don't know is how to do any of that." She replied. "Only time I did anything without your help was by complete accident."

"It's not that hard." He replied with a shrug. She rolled her eyes.

"Ya, for a guy that's lived two or more lifes and has been around hte block a few times and knows about this stuff." She replied rolling her eyes. "Want to tell me how I"m supposed to do this, cause you know at this point the only way I'm going to learn anything is if you teach me. Or if I can some how talk to Holly again, but from how I did it last time, I can only do it in time where she was alive, and then that means she has to send you away and you get less time with her, so that's not such a great idea, even if it's way back then."

He made an impatient sound. "Can we NOT talk about Holly? Please." the last word sounded strained in the least.

She nodded.

"OK, so first things first, you need to get a book about witch craft." he said. "It dates back to the 13th century." he nodded. "Witches were burned at the stake and yata yata yata... So lookes like I'm your teacher and your the student." he wiggled his eyebrows.

"I'm so excited." She replied crossing her arms. "And how am I going to get this book?"

"I know where I can pick one up." He replied.

"Alright, lets go find it then." She smiled.

"You can't come."

"And why not?" She demanded.

"Cause, you show up people will know your a witch, but if I go, they know me. We need to keep this quiet for a while."

"Alright, so I get to lock myself up in my room until then?" She asked.

"Right."

"I think I'm going to get a guard dog." She said absently.

"What?" He asked looking at her confussed.

"Sorry, it's random, but if your going to leave me here sometimes I think I need a guard dog, a big one." She replied with a smile. "When you get back we're going ot the pound."

"Whatever, just don't let anyone in, and DON'T leave." He growled.

"Will do, teach." She smiled at him. He growled again, but grabbed her wrist pullign her towards him and crushing ehr lips below his. She pushed into the kiss, she kinda liked his rough ways.

"I'll be back." He said walking out of the house. She walked up to her room and grabbed a book laying down and reading it.

"Where'd Dante go?" Dawn blinked and looked around.

"Who said that?" She demanded looking around her room.

"Over here." She looked over and saw Holly sitting on the rocking chair wiht a little baby in her arms.

"H-h-how?" She asked.

"You wished you could talk to me without taking away from his time, your a witch." Holly laughed. "It doesn't all work like that, but this time it did. Kinda surprised me when I was told I was being summond."

"So you'll always be around?" She asked.

"No, just when you call for me. How is Dante?"

"Still hurting from losing you." She replied wtih a sigh. "He got mad at me I didn't tell him I talked to you right away, and then when I mentioned you later he asked for me not to talk about you."

"Thats Dante, it's his way of cooping." Holly smiled. "He tries, he really does."

"I know. But I can never tell what he feels." She replied. "He's going to get me a witch book right now."

"Good, is he going to be teaching you?"

"Ya, that's the plan." Dawn laid on her bed and watched Holly.

"Don't fault him for anything, he tries." Holly smiled and looked up. "Sounds like he's back. Give him a kiss for me, just don't tell him it's from me. It's best he forgets me."

"But..." Holly was already gone though.

"Daylight, where are you?" Dawn sat up and blinked.

"Coming!" She yelled jumping up and running down the stairs.

He took a deep breath when he got back. "Did you miss me?" he grinned.

"You were gone for like three minutes!" she put her hip against the doorframe.

He frowned. "Thanks, that helps a bunch."

"I did miss you, I did." she laughed and wrapped her arms around his neck. He put his hands on her hips and stared down at her.

"Are you flirting with the teacher?" he asked, staring at her. Searching through her thoughts and watcing her like a hawk.

She sighed. "I believe I am."

He kissed her again. "Hmmm you taste good." he smiled. "Anyways before I get you naked again, I'm going to say this... This book was a bitch to get."

"But you managed to get it quickly." She smiled smiled back at him. "And what happed to your resolve to wait?"

"Well, maybe I'm begining to change my mind."

"I figured as much." She laughed at him and kissed him again. "So when does class start?"

Dante made a bell chime, even though there were no bells inside her house.

"Class is in session." he smiled. "Now sit or I'm gonna fail you."

She laughed and plopped down on the chair sitting indian style.

"Alright, where do we start?" She asked.

"Simple. We'll start wtih moving spells. Spells where you should be able to move things wiht your mind. It's not really a spell, it's more of mastering your skills. Witches can move things with their mind. We just have to help you find out how to master that skill. Once you do that one, we'll move on to harder things."
