Well, its been awhile since I came to the site. My main computer got a f***ed up and all my writing work I've ever done was on that computer. The reason was because of thunderstorm that hit my home town about two weeks ago...
My heart literally froze when my computer continuously failed to load. The feeling of no heartbeat, the coldness from the fear that is only matched by the numbness of my own denial. The ironic thing about all of this id that I was watching TV when a computer back up commercial was on saying that 60,000 computers crash each day. My response to that commercial, "Ah that will never happen to me..." but it did. All my work, totalling an estimate 300 hours, gone in just one thunderbolt... except for my mainline story, that I somewhat brag about in secrecy, was the only work I printed.
Luckily for me I know people and one of these individuals is a computer tech. I took my computer to him, he inspected it. I was expecting the worst, that a power surge wrecked my computer for good... but I hoped for the best. For a whole week the thought of losing all my work plagued my mind. There was no way in hell that I can re-replicate it when I first created it, because it was perfected. Fearing the worst I began to attempt trying to do it all over again. But instead of doing all over again, i continued off from where I last remembered.
The week past and I got word that the computer just had a small starting up error and that all my data was safe. I was greatly relieved hearing that, because now I don't not have to dig back some moments of the past to recreate what was already written. There are some things that cannot be perfected again and some things that are just to hard to rewrite because of the people I've wrote about back when I knew them, in a more better time. Some people I met recently have changed a bit and that their change may influence me to differ the story. For that reason alone I cannot see it ever being perfected.
Well, I have returned and now I am back on track on my writing. This time I have three back up sources for my work, the whole thunderstorm almost zapping my computer to death, along with it's memory has made me a bit more smarter. Now I am continuing with my work and I have four stories somewhat completed. I will show the... (what was it called again...?) Damn I forgot the correct the title for it but its code name was "Exile Thieves". This is not my mainline story, just to get that out of any future questioning. But first I must do the whole 2 Reviews = 1 Writing Post thing. I'll see to it as soon as possible, well later...
