I felt my eyelids start to droop and my jaw slacken as the girl scratched me bwteen the ears. No, stay awake... I blinked dreamily, the purse slipping from my teeth and landing on the ground with a clink, the sound jerking me from my bliss.

I shook my head as the girl made a grab for the purse, yelling in triumph as she scarpered away from me. I snorted, flaring my nostrils. Damn it.

"Didn't get me that time, did you?" she joked, doing a little victory dance in the clearing. My eyes narrowed. Damn her and her ear scratching.

I pawed the ground, tossing my head in annoyance. I reared, lashing out my front legs and hitting the ground with a boom again. The girl's expression of victory melted into fear. I pawed the ground more vigorously this time, like a bull preparing to charge.
"Come on, be a good horse," the girl pleaded in a slightly shaky voice.

"That's not an ordinary horse."

I turned to the source of the nose with a jolt, my nostrils flaring. A stranger entered the clearing, gesturing to me.

*and cue Sekayi :P Hope that's okay Billy.*

Sekayi

"There are things nearby." Cheikh said to him, tilting his head a little as he looked down at Sekayi from his branch.

The raven hopped along the length of it as Sekayi continued along the forest track, then dropped down to land on the shaman's shoulder when they reach the end of it. "Things?" Sekayi asked, a small smiling forming under his scarf, "What things?"

"Many things!" The raven cawed triumphantly, flying off Sekayi's shoulder as a hand swung half-heartedly at him.

Sekayi looked up at the circling bird, "Well, are there things that are not things?"

Cheikh shot up through the canopy, and then descended a few minutes later to land on a branch. "I saw a horse that was not a horse."

The shaman gave a grateful nod, and tossed a sliver of meat from his pouch to the raven, "Well then, shall we meet this horse?"

"You'll like him," Cheikh said, his eyes gleaming cryptically.

When they reached the clearing, the horse Cheikh had described was pawing the ground like a bull preparing to charge, and a girl was standing a few paces a way from it. She held a coin purse up in front of her, and was clearly afraid of the horse. "Come on," she pleaded, her voice quavering, "Be a good horse."

"That's no ordinary horse." Sekayi said, standing at the edge of the clearing with his arms folded.

"A good entrance, witchdoctor." Cheikh murmured sarcastically from his perch on Sekayi's shoulder, nothing more but soft cawing to all but the shaman.

"Wh-what do you mean?" The girl asked, looking from Sekayi to the horse, "How do you know it's not a normal horse?"

"Cheikh told me." He replied, proudly, gesturing to the bird, "He can see these kinds of things." The girl looked at him as though he was crazy. He turned his head a little, regarding the bird now, "Isn't that right?" The raven pecked his shoulder, then pointed with one foot towards the horse, which was now facing him. Sekayi pointed at the horse, "I know what you are!"

It froze in the middle of pawing the ground, and then seemed to try to make itself larger and more imposing. Sekayi, of course, saw what it was to do, and allowed his hidden smile to grow a little. "Well, at least, I know what you not. And what you are not, is a horse. But you are almost a horse, aren't you? So, what are you, really?"

*Is it OK if Mizus river runs near where Xaviar, etc are?*

Mizu

Almost as soon as I had landed on the ground before Kaze, I felt a disturbance near my river, "Kaze, I need to go, something is happening near my river!"
"No, you can't; that is the reason I called you here. The winds spoke of danger!"
I looked at her, "Kaze, that river is my life force, if it gets destroyed then I die. You can't stop me from going!"
"Well at least let me go with you." she said looking slightly ashamed.
Not bothering to adopt my true form I took off and headed towards the disturbance, Kaze soon followed. As we closed in, we saw a couple of people and a strange horse. We landed on the ground and walked the rest of the distance.

*I hope this is OK for everyone*

Kurt~

I looked over and thought about what Karin had said. It meant her and. . .Ceji I think weren't human.

"So if your not human. . .you can't be good." I sighed as I pulled out my saff. There was two of them which meant this couldn't be good for me. "I'm sorry you seemed nice. . .but I have a job to do."

"Get away from him." ceji warned Karin, she looked up at me in what was something mixed between shock and fear.

(I'm not sure how this should go. . .but ya'll can beat him up a bit then he'll run away or something)

I grinded my teeth. Okay, what's the best way to get out of this one? Good question, rhymed back a little voice in my head.

I shot a glare at the newcomer, wishing I could wipe that stupid, clever little smile off his face. I snorted, tossing my mane and pawing the ground, flicking sand everywhere.

"You're making him mad," noted the girl.

Then, we were yet again interupted by the prescence of two more strangers, this time, dragons.

Argh! What do you people want?

*hey guys, anyone got any plot ideas for this?*

Karin

"Listen, boy, I don't want to fight you," Ceja affirmed. "Just give up."
"Even if I'm out numbered, I won't let you escape," he swung forward, stricking his staff at Ceja.
I sighed. My parents had warn me: Do not get your wings out, without a real emergency. this was no emergency. I had no valuable reason to let this two know my secret. Even thought I knew Ceja for a couple of years, and we were good friends, she thought I was the daughter of mythical creatures that was born with flaws, as in no powers.
A strong current of wind blew by my quickly, and surrounded Kurt as Ceja turned it to a small tornado. She walked back, and slightly stumbled. Kurt ran out the window. Man, he was quick.
I looked out the window.
"What a shame. I really liked him."
Ceja stared at me.
"We have to go. If he runs into hunters, he'll lead them here."
"Hum," I considered her point.

*Hope that's ok!*

Ceja

"No, Karin, this is not a time for 'hum'," snapped Ceja, snatching her pack back up. "We must leave now."

Karin reached up and seemed to clutch onto the mansion wall. "I've lived here for a long time, Ceja. I'm not about to give it up so easily."

Ceja glanced at Karin exasperatedly. "Do you not understand, Karin?" she spat. "These monsters will kill you. They will not hesitate, not matter how well you have hidden your presence before. You haven't seen it, Karin, yet. But you will. We all will have before long."

"Ceja - "

Ceja ignored her as she bent down and shuffled around the objects in her pack. "Do you have any sort of tough bag to bring with you?"

"You are not liste - "

"No, Karin, I'm not listening. I am leaving in half an hour, and if you had any brains you would as well. Do you truly love this place so much you are willing to sacrifice yourself for it?"

Karin

I pondered her answer. They won't be able to kill me. Ceja on her own could have troubles. They wouldn't do anything to my house, so I guess I can go.
"Fine," I answered her. I went to my room and took a back pack from under my bed. I put two small blankets in, some food and other things.
"Let's go," I told Ceja.
