Okay, I'm back (and better at photography)!

Quite a few people suggested that I re-take the peach tree picture from "Spring is in the Air" and zoom in. Well, I did, and this is now one of my faves.
Image

The same picture, but after I messed with it.

We have this little bitty rose bush in the back yard, and it's the only rose bush that ever blooms and keeps it's blooms for more than ten seconds. Yes, this picture has been done a thousand times, but hey.

And, as suggested by wisemann210, the same picture after I ran it through a few of my photo editing programs:

This one was my desktop wallpaper for about a month, so I'm not in love with it anymore, but... And it was taken before I was even into photography!

What to you think?

Hello Texan Writer! I'm Jon! (This has zero reviews! I shall remedy that.) :P

I love the first picture, but I love the second one even more! I love how you turned it grey and a little darker. So, number two is definitely my favorite for those two.

With the rose I think you should turn it dark as well. Maybe you could mess with the color all itself! Turn it blue, purple, red, whatever!

www.photobucket.com is a good site to do that. (If you don't have one already.)

I absolutely love the last one. I love the rawness of it. But, I have to ask, was the sky really that red? If so, cool! I love how this picture gives me an image of a rustic day. It also reminds me of a Steel mill, I don't know why.

But, it's definitely my favorite for the pictures you have here.

Keep taking pictures, I'd love to see them!

Thanks for reviewing! In answer to your question, wisemann, the last photo hasn't been edited at all (except cropping out a few things I didn't like).

Beautiful. Great artistic eye. I'm quite speechless.
I love the first picture after you edited it. It really captures the inconsequential beauty that usually encompasses a flower. The second picture as suggested by wisemann was nicely editing once again. The last picture was awesome. It looks really professional. No complaints here Texan. :) :D I'm visually fulfilled  :P , thanks to you. :) all smiles here.

Hi Texan!

 First Picture: I like the second version. It's very pretty after you edited it. Almost like a cherry blossom. Good job! Definitely my favorite out of them all.

 Second Picture: I like the first one, only because it have more colors. The second version looks very sad, like it should be on a gravestone.

 This one is okay, but... I don't know. I'm just not very drawn to it...it's not as captivating as your flower pictures.

Good job! I saw your other photography, and I think you're really good!

Bye!

Hey Tex! First off, I will give an opinion on art, though I’m not the greatest critic! (should put that in Will Review For Food thread)

Picture One: I love the peach tree. The pink stands out very vividly against the green and brown in the background and has a way of popping into attention.

Picture Two: This is a wonderful manipulation. I’ve been practicing this myself lately like in my avatar and I like the way you added such a wonderful softness to it in respects to the original.

Picture Three: Honestly, I’m not the biggest fan of roses but the particular color in this one is spectacular and eye catching. Not only that, but the close up and the cropping are great.

Picture Four: I don’t know what everyone said about doom and gloom here (okay, maybe that was only one comment but still) because this picture is really cool. It’s soft and the color is all around very wonderful to look at. Not only that, but the way a new contrast in light and dark is made, looks spectacular.

Picture Five: Not my most favorite. I like the orange/red against the black but the lighter colors in between kill the effect. I think a picture with more contrast in the colors would have had more power. But there almost doesn’t seem to be enough contrast in the darks and brights.

I promised cookies with my reviews didn't I.

*hands Tex a platter of cookies* Take as many as you like.

I really like the simplicity of the flower pictures. They are really pretty. I love the colors in them.

First picture:
I would first just like to mention the fact you have a peach tree is awesome :) The flowers are so pretty! I want one now but something tells me it wouldn't survive...
I like the colors of the second one better. It's more dramatic and I like the contrast.

Second picture:
I love the edited version. It just reminds me of a wedding. I could easily see this picture hanging up somewhere.
I think you did a nice job with this picture. It's not easy to take a good close up shot. Well at least it's not for me, :) and it turned out really well.

Third Picture:
Well, I'm a sucker for sunsets.
I really like dark contrasting pole and trees. If possible, I would try to bring out the reds and oranges of the sunset a little more to really give it a big contrast.

Nice pictures, keep it up :)

(Did I do okay? This is the first time I've ever reviewed photography! :))

Tex! You're so wonderful a photography! I'm appalled! My jaw dropped.

I: Yes, I love when you zoomed in. It looks gorgeous. I love the colours. I like the first picture that you had, before you played around with colours and stuff. I think that the pink is too stunning to mute and dull.

II: They're both wonderful! I can't decide which I like better! The first one just has a beautiful, "pitcure perfect" colour to it. XD, sorry, cheesy. Anyways, but I think that its just a beautiful flower in itself. I love how close you got.

I also like the second version (that you also have as your picture) because its got such a papery, delicate look to it, as though it would just burst into ashes if I stroked it with my fingers.

III: Ha ha, I have no eye for photography. I could barely tell any difference, except that the second version of the picture looked more intense. It just seemed as though it was angry. However, I like the first of these pictures better because it seems innocent, yet raw at the same time.

OVERALL:

Gorgeous! Amazing! Stunning! You've got a wonderful eye for art, as well as writing! Stick to them both! Good job! You've got a lot of beautiful scenery it seems around your place! Capture the natural beauty of it all!

The peach tree blossoms are gorgeous. I like the mood of the second one, its gothic, but maybe add just a little more of the color back to make it less Hot Topic.

Hey!

First Picture-
Original-Lovely photo! Gorgeous colours, a beautiful clear and clean shot
Edited-Pretty. I like this one more, it reminds me of something that should be in an MCR music video for some reason.

Second Picture-
Original-Beautiful shot. Vivid colours. Gorgeous, stunning.
Edited-Prefer this one, it has a very peaceful thing about it

Third Picture-
Original-Not keen. I don't like the way the grey and red go together. Nice photography though
Edited-Not much a change, the sky looks angrier. Again, not really keen, but nice enough.

High-
You have a great eye for art and photography
Keep taking pictures.

When editing photos, maybe it would be nice to keep a little of the colour in the picture. In image 2, it would have been nice to see a little more vividness in the pink.

Well done, you have great skills and are really good.
