The Battle for Freedom

Jason

"nice to know some one dose" I joked and she rolled around.

"this is a good dream" she said and hugged me again a hundred thought flashed through my mind.

"Cappy I love you to" I said and she smiled but then my smile got wider.

"and that's not a dream" I said and Kissed her.

Cappy~

"Cappy I love you to" he smile grew wider. I've been waiting for him to say that, for the longest time. Even if this was a dream. . .

"and that's not a dream." he smiled as he leaned down and kissed me.

I felt my face heat up, from embarrassment to the fact that he felt the same way. His scent was intoxicating, I was engulfed in his aroma. I wanted this moment to last forever.

"Awwwwwwwww! I knew you two were going to hook up!" Zane squealed as me and Jason flinched away from each other, I felt my self heating up even more, and I started to fiddle with my hair some more.

"What's going on?" Lulu asked. It was obvious Zane woke everyone else up.

April

I moaned in my sleep. Everything hurt! I was dimly aware of someone holding me near them. How could I sleep with all of this pain? I curled up into a ball clenching my stomach. What was going on? My eyes snapped open. I couldn't take this!

"Awww..." I heard someone say. "I knew you two would hook up!" Zane. She must be talking about Cappy and Jason. I would clap and smile but I didn't think I could move. I didn't want to ruin their moment. I stayed quiet and endured the pain. Mikael was looking at me.

"April! Are you okay?" He asked. I nodded. He wiped my bangs from my face. My eyes were starting o grow heavy again.

"We...need to...go," I said. I looked for the vehicles I conjured. They were nowhere to be found.

"We can't April. Something destroyed it when you passed out," he replied. I grimanced. Great, even when I could help out I screwed up.

"Mikael...I'm so sorry. I...need to sleep now," I whispered. He nodded. I wanted to tell him more, but my mouth wouldn't form the words. Whatever destroyed what I had made was going to die. Soon. Whoever or whatever was going to pay. I was weak for nothing and now the others couldn't even eat because of it. I fell back asleep before I could think of anything else.

Mikael

I craddled April gently as she fell to sleep. I used some of my power to kepp her warm and fed then rest into her and her ankle watching it begin to heal before cutting off the power. Don't want to make it too obvious i helped her, i thought. I looked over to where the vehicles had been. Damn, i thought cringing inwardly, those things would have saved us so much time. And April had put everything she had into those things just to please me and my mechanical obsession. Why am i such an idiot, i thought letting my eyes close and my head nod to sleep still cradling April who was snoring quietly.
"Aww they look so cute!" i heard Kimberlee whisper before i fell asleep.

Jack

I glanced over at Mikael and April as they fell asleep beside each other. "Aww, they look so cute!" Kimberlee whispered, giggling a little.

I smiled, suppressing a laugh of my own. It felt good, being around them, and around Cappy and Jason. The happiness emanating from those four was almost making me forget our situation completely. Certainly I could believe that everything would turn out alright in the end. Even without the vehicles, I had a feeling that everything would be okay. We could rest up, and then go into civilisation, find a way back home, and never have to deal with that creep Carlos and his friends again.

April

I woke up next to Mikael. He stirred a little and opened his eyes. I smiled at him. Did he stay with me the whole night? He must have. My heart flew as he stood up beside me.

"Feeling better?" He asked. I nodded. My muscles felt a little sore but other than that I felt amazing.

"I can't believe I'm this string this fast," I replied. Then I looked at him again and he shrugged.

"You gave me more energy didn't you?" I asked. He smiled.

"You need to save it for the others. But I'm really grateful," I said queitly. I hugged him and Zane came over.

"April! Feeling better today?" She asked.

"I think I'm string enough to conjure breajfast for everyone," I laughed. Zane looked a little surprised.

"Maybe you shouldn't." I glared at her a little.

"I'm completely fine now, Zane. Besides, I wasn't able to conjure anything last night."

"We weren't hungry. We slept a little after you," Zane replied. I rolled my eyes.

"Well I'm not going to be more of a burden then I already am. I can do something useful, and that's just what I'll do," I said. Zane laughed a little.

"I guess you are feeling better." I smiled and conjured a bottle of water. I was SO thirsty. I conjured one for Zane and Mikael as well as some pop-tarts. They probably weren't their favorites, but I was still trying to do something easy. All my strength hadn't returned yet.

Mikael

So April had seen right through me, i thought, so what? It's not like i don't have enough energy to share. I greatfully wolfed down my pop tart before calling the others to grab some grub.
"Hey April i was wondering, has anything like that happened with your conjurings before?"
"Not that i can think of" she replied between mouthfuls. "Then again they might have done i don't know. It might be something to do with this place you know."
"What, you mean like our worlds shouldn't mix, kind of thing?"
"Yeah, i mean, it's an idea i guess." She finished her pop tart and washed her hands in a conjured bowl of water.
"April about that kiss yesterday" i spoke quickly trying to over come my lack of self confidence. "I, erm, well." Oh god, i thought, shes going to think i'm such a freak.
"I...i...i like you April." There i had said it, now all i had to do was sit and resist the urge to fly off.

April

My heart seemed to fly right out of my chest. Mikael like me, he really did. He seemed a little embaressed and I felt my own cheeks flame up as well.

"You do?" I asked. Although it was a stupid question, I wanted to make sure my ears haven't decieved me. He nodded. I smiled brightly but I wasn't sure if he saw. He was looking towards the ground.

I couldn't resist. I threw my arms around his neck and kissed him. I didn't know if he would think I was to foward or not, I was just so happy. Mikael really liked me.

Zane

I left Michael and April, as I could see they had some unfinished business to discuss. I walked away, turning to a more alone corner.
"Zeke, you bastard!" I muttered, under my breath. I was cold, and I could just turn up a flame, that that problem would be solved, but I decidide to not to. "How could he dare to leave us? Leave his friends behind." He should be back by now. What if he couldn't come back? What if... he was dead?

Kimberlee

I looked at April and Mikael. It looked like they had found each other too; just like Cappy and Jason.
I sat down some trees away, I maybe thought they wanted some time alone.
I looked at Jack. He stared into nothing.
Why did I look at him so much? Since we all got here, I felt more comfortable around him. I felt safely, too. I closed my eyes, trying to relax. Do not think about Jack, I said to myself.
I don’t know how long I lay there, with my eyes closed, before someone shook me.

Cappy

After every one seemed to go back to sleep I looked at Jason, and smiled. For the first time hes been here I noticed, he was pretty bruised up. "Are you okay?" I asked as I lightly traced around one of his bruise with my index finger. He winced but then sighed as if in relief.

"Yeah don't worry, about it." he whispered.

"What happened?" I was curious of what happened.

"Well apparently civilization isn't to found of me. They said something about being exhiled, and all this stuff. Wait I think every one should hear this." so we went and woke every one up to hear Jason story.

"I'm guessing that means civilization isn't going to help us." Lulu said when he was done.

"Yeah, the only reason I made it out of there was because of this random guy named, Tom. He said he was a transporter. . .O yeah hang on a moment I want to try something!"

(Jason is doing what Tom told him, I just don't get it. . .so yeah jump in anyone!)

Mikael

When April kissed me evrything slid into place. Lights flashed, the world swam. The kind of kiss you see in the movies. Except it was real. The glowing beautiful girl, the handsome happy boy and the world floating away beneath us.
"Um Mikey" she giggled when she pulled away. "Not to be a spoil sport but could we go back down now?" I looked down to see just how high we had lifted. We had been rising so slowly. Oh my god how long had we been kissing!
"Sure" i smiled lowering us slowly down.
"And could you do something about the glowing. It's a little conspicous." I let her fade back to a natural colour.
"Um Mikael you want to do something about yourself too." She brandished a mirror in her hand. I saw a boy about my age with deep red eyes, a healthy glow and a wide joyful grin. It took me a moment to realise it was me. I fixed the glowing thing and was going to go fix my hair but April refused to relinquish my left hand. I loved her, i mean really loved her.

April

I smiled at Mikael. How long had we been freinds? So long that I felt I knew him. I knew him really well and I also knew that I loved him. This was unlike any other feeling.

I refused to let go of him. For even second. At least for onow. I was just so happy and from the look Jack gave me I knew he felt it too.

Zane

I glanced over my head, and saw Cappy talking to Jason. He had big bruises all over him.
"I'm guessing that means civilization isn't going to help us." I heard Lulu say.
Oh my God! So he really could be dead by now? The idea of losing one of your closest friends on a different strange world terrified me. I burried my head in my lap, and screame dinside my head forgetting Kim could hear me.

Jack

Well, even if civilization wasn't going to help us, we still had each other to lean on. I caught a slightly questioning look from April, and instinctively knew that she was asking me if Mikael was feeling the same happiness that she was. I smiled at her and nodded.

And then, just as she looked back to Mikael, I winced in pain. What's this? Someone was still feeling the way we all had when we'd first arrived. But...somehow it was a lot stronger, a lot worse. It was filled with hurt and fear and loss, raging against just how unfair the world was. I looked around, and saw Zane with her head buried in her lap. Somehow, I'd already known it was her. I just hadn't wanted to believe that one of my friends was in such pain, and I hadn't already noticed.

Kim will be able to help. She'll be able to know exactly what's wrong with Zane. The thought itself had merit, but inside, I knew it was really just a thinly veiled excuse to be able to talk to Kimberlee, to be near her. I did want to help Zane, I didn't want any of my friends to have to feel what she was. But I wanted to help her with Kimberlee.

She seemed to be sleeping, so I shook her lightly, "Kim! Wake up!" I whispered.

Her eyes flew open and locked straight onto mine, and for a moment I found myself unable to say anything. She frowned, as if already hearing Zane's thoughts, "What is it?"

"Zane. I don't know what's going on, but she's feeling terrible at the moment. You need to find out what's going on."
