I'm currently writing a story about a schizophrenic girl who murders her sister on accident when she has a hallucination. They put her on trial because they don't think it was the disease. I really need help making the courtroom scenes as realistic as possible. Terms used during a trail are unfamiliar to me also. I plan to do research but I only have two days to write this. Help!

Well, for accurate terminology usage you could try watching crime TV shows (fictional like Law and Order as well as true stories on Court TV.)
I think your best bet would be google with such limited time, though.
