Note on the Chat

Hey all, this past weekend, I left the chat open the entire time. So let me thank you for not creating any incidents for me or any other mod to deal with! Everyone was awesome :P

Unfortunately, I don't think I'm going to do it again. The chat room severely drains system resources. This means that when there are even just 12 people in the chat, the site slows down. As a side note, it's kind of incredible that 12 seems small (we used to be lucky to have 10).

With the chat regularly hitting 20 to as much as 30 at a time, the server just cannot cope.

The new YWS was meant to have an all-new chatroom. I am now bumping that up; meaning the all-new chatroom will be here before the new YWS. This will be done in mid-April (I'm really busy before then). Since the new chat will be remotely hosted, we can leave the chat open all weekend with no problem!

So please bear with me while YWS goes through this growth stage :)

That's probably a good idea. We were battling our way through minutes of loading as we tried to make it to various forums. ;)

All of these 'renovations' sound fantastic Nate, and we all understand!

Yay! I was wondering why my computer couldn't load the site properly. I'm pretty excited for the new chat. Also, there's going to be a new site?

Got YWS?

When we are children we seldom think of the future. This innocence leaves us free to enjoy ourselves as few adults can. The day we fret about the future is the day we leave our childhood behind.
