The Safeway

**This is my first StoryBook so I hope you like it!**

PLOT

It’s the year 2400 and the futuristic world we used to fantasize about is basically dead. Twenty years ago the first bombs were dropped in London, and then Paris. Soon the beautiful city of Venice was destroyed, Los Angeles and Chicago as well. Governments and Monarchies fell, people fought to stay alive and thousands, no millions, have become victim to diseases, starvation and fear.
Under the ruins of New York, New York lies an underground city that has come to be known as ‘The Safeway’. This is where you come in. You are a protector of The Safeway.

(Also, the President of the United States lives in The Safeway. The mutants protect him as well as everyone else)

(There are others out there, some who are trying to find The Safeway, and some who are wanting to destroy it)

WHAT YOU ARE

You are mutants. Meaning that when you were born, the Government secretly injected you with some kind of shot, genetically altering your body and mind. All mutants have keener senses then humans and they’re much stronger. But, each mutant is very different in their abilities(Such as flight/super speed/illusionist and anything else you can think of as long as it isn't stupid).

Appearance: Jet black hair that comes down just pat her shoulders, she wears it in thong most of the time when she is doing something though. She is a normal height with a skinny build.

Place of Birth:Unknown

Abilities/Ability:She can parkour and has the abilities of a trained assassin. For a human she can move fast and quickly goes from one spot to another.

Personality: Very happy and hyperactive most of the time. Very curious of strangers though she is hard to crack when it comes to secrets.

History: She kind of just popped up one day in the Safeway, she was 6 years old.

Other: Can cook well out of basically nothing, just don't ask her where she got it. up for love?

Abilities/Ability: He can manipulate his surroundings, such as making someone believe that they are winnning a fight when they aren't actually touching anything. Example:
You want to find the safeway, but you pass the entrance without second glance. Later, you come back (Being comfirmed as a friend) and they let you in. If you were to actually touch the gate, even though you wouldn't see it, there would be an object there.
His power is very convincing, but will disipitate quickly if he lapses in concentration.
Personality: Laugs a lot, easy going and looking for action. He can't really be trusted, as life is a game to him. he enjoys playing with peoples heads.
History: He has been in teh Safeway ever since he was born, he grew up inspiring to be a presidents gaurd member.

Name: Dinah Lynch

Age: 15

Gender: Female

Race: Mutant

Appearance: Exactly likes this except she usually wears sun glasses so no one looks at her eyes.

Place of Birth: Chicago

Abilities/Abilty: Dinah is completely blind, but she is capable of using echolocation so she can be aware of her surroundings. She can see the future as well and is not always able to control when she has the premonitions. Also, sometimes when someone looks into her eyes they can see their worst nightmares come alive, this is why she wears sun glasses all the time.

Personality: She has a very quiet nature, but when it comes right down to it, she is very sweet and
caring. She doesn't really like to talk to much or even be around people because of what she can do.

History: Was found half-way dead by Bobby Farbor, she was all alone in an old apartment building when she was three. The only way he knew her name was because of the golden locket she was wearing, and still wears today. From what she know's, she has always been blind and capable of what she is now.

Abilities/Ability: Has the power to burn things(including people) from the inside out. Also has super agility.

Personality: Strong willed, kind hearted and an all around great guy. He will stand up for what he thinks is right and will never give up, ever, because he is stubborn. * *

History: Was born and raised in London, when he was nineteen the bombs were dropped and his rage led to his powers finally showing. He killed both of his parents and his little sister, accidently of course. He has never forgiven himself and swore never to hurt anyone again. He was one of the few who were able to escape the bombing. Also, when he was 27 he found Dinah Lynch in an old apartment building in Chicago shortly after it was bombed, he was sent to search for survivors.

Other: Up for love! He is also the leader of the mutants!

Place of birth: Paris [his parents weren't french but they were their on holiday]

appearance:He has brown hair and a kind face and weirs whatever he wants but wears the Detective badge he has with pride

Ability: only the basic mutant powers but he will soon discover that he can mimic other mutants powers as long as he's come in contact with them before

History:Because he only has the basic abilities many people feel he is more human than the rest of them so treat him less like a tool he has earned himself the rank of detective after years of service and has a partner Kerry who is also a mutant

personality: fun and free he enjoys his job and his relationship with Kerry though not much else he dose however have other mutant friends and often talks to them

other:not up for love he's got Kerry

appearance: long black hair looks of Japanese decent with a slim build

History: Has clawed her way to a post as detective and is in affect Adams boss as well as lover she has seen many things in her day and sees the Safeway as a place of refuge

personality: all I can say is shes a bit of a cynic

Age: 16

Race(human or mutant): Mutant
Appearance: a shaggy heap of white hair and has gray eyes. Though they change with his power.
Place of Birth: Safeway
Abilities/Ability: He can control the elements fire, water, earth lightning and air. But when he attacks with one he can not use another for an hours time. And when he uses the power his eyes and hair change. Earth- brown, Air-grayish hair white eyes, water-blue, lightning-blond and yellow, fire-red. Also he has limited telekinetic abilities.
Personality: Joking and clownish. Loves to joke and have fun. Has a hard time getting serious.
History: Doesn't talk about it much. I will reveal it in the story though.
Other: up for love.

appearance: Instead of the pink hair shown in the picture she has black hair with bright pink highlights.

Ability: Can freeze time but only when her emotions act up. Otherwise she's powerless

History: Was born in the safeway and has never once left it, even after her parents died. (I'll add on more)

personality: Very laid back and relaxed. She doesn't make a big problem out of anything. To her there's always a choice and she's determined to calm down, think logically, and figure it out. She's kind on occasions; when she actually talks

*I know I know another question but um well I was wondering what tecnolegy was like now I was thinking kind of like metal building and laser guns and flying cars with a kind of primitive downtour of slums and busy streets and I know I just made myself sound like such a nerd*

I'll answer the question anyway though

The Safeway is a series of metal buildings such as apartment buildings, offices, etc... Technology is advanced yes, but no flying cars. And actually, I'd prefer you guys to make up The Safeway and things you characters see, just nothing stupid, please.
