Let's see...what made me happy today.

I found my Fender shirt.
when there's nowhere to go, it's time to grow up.

i'm not happy today.
All that is gold does not glitter,

The old that is strong does not wither,

But what if I was happy today. Well It would probably be because I had gotten a great idea for a story, or maybe my girl friend decided she would kiss me (notice it is a girl friend, not a girlfriend).

Realised on Saturday, Sunday and Monday I will be seeing a gig each night and about in total, 20 bands, for £20.

I'm getting a laptop for Christmas, that's why the hell I'm happy. More writing for me, where ever I may go. :D

P.S.
If you want a cheap laptop that you would just use for writing, check out http://www.usanotebook.com and find them extremely cheap. The prices range from $150 to $750, good stuff.

Hating the government or hating my country, doesnt matter to me.

They still protested there hate towards the country no matter to what part of it may be.

Hell, I'm an American and I dislike alot about our government. You don't have to be American to hate our government, just join the billions of others that do. :)

Let's see, what made me happy? Oh! I got to spend the whole day in school with my boyfriend, and then we both left two hours early since there was nothing going on in school to keep us there. He went home, I went home, and then I got to go home and SLEEP. God, that felt good.

I don't hate America. I just don't agree with it. People who aren't patriotic are very low in my mind. We have it better than most countries, but things in America are set up so that by the time my grandchildren (if i have any) are having to deal with the government, it will be really bad.

I don't trust the government. By the time I have grandchildren, I'm sure our rights will have been restricted and religion will be law.

That's not a good thing for me.

I have to say, I disagree. This country was founded with two things in mind.

1. The power is with the people, and the people and their states overrule the national government.
2. The fear of a dictatorship, or the government having total control.

Besides, this government is most likely, the most stable within the entire world; just compare it to others. And if anyone tried to create a dictatorship or anything of that sort, our military would not turn, and our people would rebel. You must keep in mind our people are very well armed.

Our rights are already being taken away. Ten Commandments being taken out of daily life. And around here some laws have been passing and the government can now take someones land away from them. Not to mention the moral situation our country is in. I pity those who will live here in another century.

I just have some questions. The Pledge of Allegiance says:

"I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."

It actually says under God. I understand it was founded on religious beliefs, but what about the seperation of church and state? And how come teachers force you to stand and recite the pledge in scool if you have the freedom not to? What about religious freedom? It says "one nation under God". What about polygamous religions? And do atheists have to say it as well when they pledge alleigance to their nation?

This country stands for freedom, but what we don't realize is we're truly lacking full religious freedom. I feel like the government is letting us worship what we want, but they choose not to recognize it. But hey, we still have a lot more than many other places. Like Cuba, for example. It's where my family comes from, and all I hear day in and day out is how I should be grateful to have what I have and for the fact that I have so much freedom and the chance to be who and what I want to be. But sometimes I think you can only be what the government and society sees fit. I say screw them. I'm me, and you're being you. If you get to be your own person, why can't I? Is it because I don't belive in a religion? Is it because I'm open-minded and don't really care what people think? Is it because I'm open with my sexuality and opinions? If you don't like it, tough. It's fair enough.

It's America.

ok, first off, teachers can't force students to stand and say it. But thats ok, its a common misconception. And you have to see that the Founders were trying to protect the Church from the State, and trying to protect the State from being overrun by other religions. These men were most Christians. Most people understand so little about the early beginnings of the U.S. You have to go by more than just what liberal history books tell you.

The bigger the issue, the smaller you write. Remember that. You don’t write about the horrors of war. No. You write about a kid’s burnt socks lying on the road. You pick the smallest manageable part of the big thing, and you work off the resonance.
