Sketches a la Harley!

my doggy sketch! he's a stuffed animal on my bed, that my friend gave me for my birthday last year, and he's just so cute! we're doingstill life, and shading and toning in art, so i was practicising in me room, and this is the result! i like him, i think he looks sweet. what about y'all?



this is a converse shoe i drew; again for practise and i was happy with it. this is the oldest pair of converse shoes i have, hence the creases.

Sorry about the quality, blame it on my non-existant scanner.

Very nice! Good shapes and such; I can easily picture what these things are. You still have a bit of work on shading. You have to remember that contrast is very important, as having a greater range of shades makes it pop more. Also, make sure to smooth the shading as much as possible.

I love the puppy... it's really adorable... I wish I could say something more constructive than that, but I'm not good at shading at all since I basically never try... All I can say is that the puppy is one of the cutest things I've seen all day...

I can't really help you much with shading...it's a bit dark... But that's okay. Love 'em just the same.

He's all melty...like my dog...and my cat... That's a really cool effect! Must have taken loads of time to figure out...

The shoelaces speak to me. No, actually, they look really weird.

But YAY! The drawings are pretty good.

The puppy is yummy, the shoe is just a well-drawn shoe...which doesn't appeal to me too much, per se, but that is simply because I don't really pride myself on being a connosieur of the footwear arts.

I like the shoe (or is it trainers?).

The puppy is cute and well drawn though the shading could be better. Also, I love the shoe but it looks rather flat. Try and set yourself a challenge next time and sketch from a more interesting angle so that it's more 3D. Very good though.
