Hailey

The evening passed without event and Hailey retired to her room after talking with Mike. He'd said some interesting things but she found it hard to like her power. It was only good if people didn't know about it and well, it wasn't an offensive power. What could the truth really do? It couldn't smash through walls or disarm a man. Well, it could disarm them of their lies and masks but what use was that if someone turned a gun on her?

It was getting late. Hailey laid her head down to rest and wondered if everyone else was doing the same. Suddenly she knew they were not. She sat up. If they weren't sleeping then what were they doing? She quickly slipped out of bed, her bare feet padding across the floor softly. She walked down the hall to Mike's room. Could he be planning on escaping tonight? Without her? She hoped not.

"Mike?" Hailey called softly. He answered the door looking sleepy and ywaned.

"What?" he asked irritably.

"Someone's up to something," Hailey said. "But I don't know what, it isn't coming to me." Frustrated, she bit down on her lower lip and led the way out into the hall. A light was on in one of the rooms! Adrianna's room and her door was open. It closed softly as they drew closer to it and muffled voices could be heard whispering. Who was in there? Hailey looked to Mike for guidance.

Mike~~

Mike let out a yawn as Hailey came closer. "where."
"in Adrianna's room" Hailey answered
"okay, be right back the, you stay here" Mike said and he climbed up his wall into the air vent on the ceiling. He pulled him self up about a meter and then crawled forward. He passed went straight till he came to a turn and went to the left and then made a right turn soon. He went down till he passed about 3 air shafts and then stopped. He positioned by hanging right over the vent only not touching it by and inch or two. He could see Adrianna, Sabina and Kyle in the room talking. He could here them talk about Truax's office and that's was all he caught before he felt his legs began to get sore.

Mike crawled back to his room and then hoped back down into it. He quickly dusted himself off and turned to Haily. "so, all i know is that they might have broken into Truax's office, why i do not know they began before i got there."

"well thats more then i expected' Haily said. "but you do know we could have just walked over and i could have read there minds."

Lucky for Mike his face was covered in gray dust or his face would have been red. He was embarrassed he had not thought of that but quickly covered. "yeah...but where would be the fun in that" Mike said with a little bit of a give away> Mike Knew Hailey knew he was lying about it and even if she did not have powers would have known. "but if you will icuse me for just a moment though i need to change and get this dust off." mike said and grabbed a set of clothes from his draw and went into the bathroom.

~Kyle

Kyle and Sabine explained what they were doing in Truasx's office and Adrianna calmed down.

"Did you guys find anything," She asked

"Nothing on our mission, but we did find this." Kyle handed Adrianna a paper.

"They've found them, they've found the others." Sabine said.

I knew that someone was coming down the hall. It was Truax. He must have found something or seen us. His footsteps rang closer and closer. What would he do to us this time?

I recall that distant time when I tried to escape this dump with Hailey. We were doing pretty well actually. Until we stepped past some border security devices that started a loud irritating beep.

Truax came in his shiny helicopter and brought us back to the institution. There he gave us an hour long lecture. That wasn't even the worst of it though.

There is something in the fabled myths of this place that haunts the back of your every action. It's a place called the "Interrogation Room."

That's where we were sent. I could still remember the mud in that tank filling up past my neck and shoulders where it stopped at my ears. I could identify a few slime creatures and some dismembered bits of animal. The sludge was greenish gray.

That was the end of my escape attempts.

So when I heard him storming down that hall I held my breath and hoped for that hour long lecture.

Adrianna

Adrianna's door burst open. Adrianna spun around quickly. Traux stood there, neatly dressed as always. Adrianna felt a flicker of fear stir deep inside her.

"Night-time gathering?" asked Traux pleasently. Adrianna clutched the paper in her hand tightly. Then she paled. The paper.

Any move to hide the paper would make Traux immeadiatly suspicioius. And blatantly holding a paper would alert him as well. In other words, Adrianna was in trouble. Deep trouble. The blame would be put on her.

Traux looked over the three occupants of the room. Adrianna began to tremble slightly. She was so close to gettiing out. This couldn't happen to her now!

Finally, Traux turned to her. His eyebrow went up as he spotted the paper in Adrianna's hand.

"What is that, Miss Walker?"

"A paper," replied Adrianna, her voice cracking. Adrianna swallowed quickly. She had given herself away. Revealed a weakness. Exposed a flaw.

"May I see it?" asked Traux, polite as ever. Adrianna slowly handed it to him, her eyes never leaving his face.

Traux began to frown as he scanned the paper.

"How did you aquire this?"

Adrianna offered no reply.

Traux looked at Adrianna. "Last time I remember, this paper was in my office. Which means, naturally, to get this paper, you must have been in my office. Were you?"

"No,"

"I don't believe you."

Adrianna blinked. Nothing she said could convince Traux of her innocence. It was hopeless.

Traux smiled at her. "Miss Walker, you've been naughty."

Adrianna felt a flicker of irritation at being treated like a child.

Traux motioned outside the door. "I think you'll agree, Miss Walker, naughty children must suffer the consequences."

Adrianna looked suspiciously at the blackness of the hall.

"After you, Miss Walker," said Traux, ever proper. Adrianna crossed her threshold deliberatly.

Traux guided her through multiple hallways, into places she'd never been before.

"I think you should spend two days in isolation for your punishment, Miss Walker. Do you agree?"

Adrianna flicked an irritated glance in Traux's direction. Was she supposed to agree to all of this?!

Traux's pale fingers flew across a number pad in what seemed like a 26-digit code. A metal door slid open with a hiss. Traux motioned for Adrianna to enter.

Adrianna stepped into a small room with a tiny cot and a door that led into what Adrianna assumed was a bathroom. She turned back to Traux, who nodded to her before the door hissed shut behind Adrianna. Adrianna turned to face the room.

Two days. Adrianna would miss the mission.

Hailey

She was heading down the hall with a now ly clothed Mike but as they rounded a corner, they came face to face with Traux! Mike pushed Hailey behind him slightly and she trembled a little as she recalled the last time she had got in trouble. It had been awful, so dreadful...

"Ah Hailey, just the girl I was looking for," Traux said and he was actually telling the truth. Hailey looked up at him curiously.

"Why? What do you want her for?" Mike asked.

"No need to sound so upset, Mike. I'm sure you was just on your way back to your own room when you ran into miss Jones." This time he was lying but that was obvious to anyone. Mike was reluctant to leave and Hailey didn't want him to get into trouble so she answered for him.

"Yes, we met by chance," Hailey said sweetly.

"Then let's not detain him longer. I have a question for you Hailey, I want to know if Adrianna was in my office today, you shall ask her-"

"There isn't a need," Hailey interrupted. "She wasn't." Truax eyed her suspiciously as Mike stood resolutely at her side. Until recently he had trusted in her loyalty completely and thought her a sweet, charming girl but now he knew her to be suceptible to the whims and friendships of others.

"Do you know who was?" Truax asked. Hailey thought about her answer carefully. The knowledge that Kyle and Sabine had been surprised her. She didn't want to turn them in but what could she say? Should she lie?

"No. I... I'm sorry. I can't always control my power."

Sabine and Kyle watched this from the door.

"What are we going to do," Sabine asked. Trausk is planning something we have to stop him, and we can't do hat if we are scrubbed from the mission.

"You, go and I'll turn myself in as the only one to break into his office. Hailey can confirm it and I'll be detained. On the mission you'll have to figure out what Trausk's true plans are.

Sabine frowned,"Why you. trying to act like a hero. I'm capable of handling a little detainment"

"Actually the opposite you're more vital on the field," he said. Then stepped out of the room to confess.

Since my other storybooks near collapse I've decided that I need more structure.

New Rules

If you are one of the twelve zodiac you have to post at least twice a week. Pm me if you can't

pm people to tell them your plans for your character so that they don't undermine it later.

If a character of the twelve is missing for over a week they must be replaced, all twelve zodiacs are important, and can't be killed off unless it furthers the plot line.

Pm a lot, we must stay in contact so we will can discuss plot points so that they don't take people off guard, and keep it flowing. This will also help new members adapt quickly to are storybook.

Let's make this a really good storybook

Pm me if you have any questions.

Was that a compliment? We should mark this day as an official holiday...

The interrogation room was probably where he was going. I never wanted to see that place again. But we could get all 12 people on the field if we could get Kyle out of the tank. Before it started filling up with that putrid slime. The room wasn't really that secure. Nobody thought we would really want to go to that room.

I heard Truax yelling, on the verge of screaming, at Kyle.

"... it's the interrogation room for you. Did you think you honestly could get away with this without a punishment."

I imagined Truax dragging him along by the shirt collar.

Later~

The other Zodiac did, although hesitantly agree to help with my plan. We would make it look innocent like a malfunction. It wouldn't be that hard, would it?

Adrianna

Adrianna never knew she was claustrophobic. She never had been before. Something about the smooth, stainless steel walls made her feel vulnerable, squeezed. Her breath was coming in short gasps.

Adrianna had begun pacing the perimeter of her cell about half an hour ago. Now she sat herself on her cot miserably.

Sleep seemed her only escape. But the walls, the walls!

... They were taunting her.

* i hope this does not mess it up, if this makes no sense then i will get rid of it*

After Mikes encounter with Truax he went back to his room full of questions. He wanted to know more about what happened and had eventually took to the vents again. He climbed to Adrianna's room to find it empty. Mike swore under his breath where could she have gone, the door locked by this time and he would have known if someone had been out of this vent recently. Mike got back up and then was crawling back when he passed over Sabina's room and thought he ask her. He hung over the vent opening to Sabina's room and whispered. "Sabina" there was no reply. "Sabina, you there" this time she answered.
"who is it, that you kyle" she asked through the darkness.
"No its Mike"
"what do you want" She asked
"wheres Adrianna" He asked
" why do you want to know"
"because i need to talk to her about something"
"why should i tell you"
" i don't know, there is no reason just tell me"
"fine, shes in solitary"
"thanks" Mike said and went back into the vent tunnel. He had to think, which way lead to the solitary room. He had never been there other then once when he was mapping the vent out. He finally remembered and went forward, he kept it up for awhile making several turns. He finally got there and lowered him self right over the shaft in it.
"adriana" Mike whispered into the shadows. "you in here"
"mike that you" he heard Adrianna
"yeah, i have a question"
"what"
"why are you here, i thought Sabina and Kyle broke in"
"how did you know that"
"i just was hanging in the right spot, but still why are you here"
"i got caught with the information"
"well, how long you going to be in here"
"two days"
"but you'll miss the mission"
"i know"
"then i'll just help you out"
"how"
"i'll break you out, the day of the mission"

Kyle had hoped that Trausk would have let Adriane go after he confessed, but he didn't. He had caught her red handed with the paper, and couldn't lie about seeing the paper like Sabine did. Kyle was in the interrogation room laying on his back chained to the table.

Trausk came in. "Kyle what happened to you used to be my most obedient agent. Your father and mother in-trusted you to me. I've been like a second father to you, and this is how you repay me. Trausk flipped a switch on the machine next to him. Electricity coursed through his body. He bit his lip to avoid screaming. Trausk kept it on for a whole minute then turned it off. "Now Kyle why did you go in my office."

Kyle knew that no mater what he said Trausk would flip the switch again.

*To all members I have put up a discussion thread, so we can keep things on track. Go there to ask questions and plan out plot so this doesn't become a jumbled mess.

Adrianna

"What?" Adrianna asked, shocked. Break her out?! "Why?" she replied suspiciously. Mike was silent.

"Would you rather me not?" he asked icily.

"Depends," snapped Adrianna. "Will I be in debt to you?"

"... No. Why would you be?" Mike sounded confused. Adrianna swallowed cautiously.

"I'm no damsel in distress. I hope you know that."

"I never said you were!" came the irritated reply. "Look, if you think you can get yourself out, fine. If not, I'm offering you assistance!"

Adrianna let out a puff of air. "There's no apparent escape route here... Believe me when I say I've looked. Fine. I'll accept your offer. I also want to underline the fact that this in no way will in-debt me to you, understood?"

"I've already answered this. You will not owe me a thing."

Adrianna was silent.

"How are you going to get in here?" she asked after a moment. Adrianna, despite her instincts, was curious.

"You leave that to me."

Adrianna rolled her eyes. She hated this. How could she be sure she trusted Mike? All throughout her childhood, trust had been scorned upon by her parents. They couldn't trust anyone except themselves and each other. Adrianna had trusted only them. And they weren't here now, wouldn't be here now. Not since -

Adrianna shook herself. Dwelling in the past. A very dangerous habit.
